I always love to go here because of their kitchen things and mainly they have all these cute pet stuff and since I just got a kitty, they had really cute scratching posts. I was really disappointed with my experience at this HomeGoods. I found a food tray for my cat that I wanted to purchase, but it had a noticeable defect. I went to the front simply to ask if they had another one in the back. If they didn't, I would have completely understood. One of the employees was kind and mentioned that, since the item was damaged, it might qualify for a discount. She then called the manager over. When he arrived, he told me they did not consider it defective, which I accepted. However, the way he spoke to me came across as rude and dismissive. I then asked if he could check whether they had another one available that wasn't damaged. Instead of answering my question, he said, "You're just upset because I wouldn't give you a discount." I explained that I wasn't asking for a discount--I simply wanted a food tray without a defect. I found his comment unnecessary and offensive because it dismissed the actual reason I came to the register. I was simply trying to find an undamaged item to purchase. The employee who initially helped me was helpful, but the manager's attitude made what should have been a simple customer service interaction into a very unpleasant experience. I hope HomeGoods reminds its managers that customers deserve to be treated with respect. read more

There's an older women here who works full time I believe in the front as a cashier - her name is Michelle or something like that. I call and regular about 11 HomeGoods in the area and I've actually called corporate to ask, she seems to be the only one who refuses to actually look for any items or help customers when they ask. I've also spoken to multiple of their leads who are super kind even the front security man has been very helpful. Though this older women (not sure if I have her name right so I won't be using it) refuses to assist because she only will look for large items she has stated that if they spent the day looking for items customers call about they'll be looking all day I asked her how many calls she got and she said "4". Unfortunately if it is your entire job to assist customers but you refuse to do so even if it is a high ticket or collectible item that other staff members have been able to assist and even encourage a call back for - then you should probably be learning from the leads. Front lead and the kitchen department lead have been a joy to speak to unfortunately one staff member has ruined an entire experience - fortunately I did call corporate to launch a complaint - this is the second time I've called first time was to ensure that what I was being told was correct that I can call to ask for specific items on the floor. A learning experience for sure I've been to 11 HomeGoods and have never had an issue. Such a shame because I work down the street so either way she will constantly see me - refusing service to regulars is an interesting tactic. read more

I had a disappointing experience at this HomeGoods recently. My partner and I were shopping for stools and chairs when he suddenly stepped on a large pin needle that had been left on the floor. It punctured the bottom of his foot and caused it to bleed. What was most concerning wasn't just the safety issue itself, but how it was handled by staff. We immediately approached an employee, explained what happened, and handed her the needle. Her only response was, "Oh." There was no apology, no concern, no sense of urgency, and no indication that she intended to report the incident or notify a manager. I then had to ask if my partner could at least get a Band-Aid. The employee walked to the front, grabbed one from the first aid supplies, and handed it to us. Even then, there was still no acknowledgment of the situation or apology for what had happened. Accidents can happen in any store, and I understand that. However, when a customer is injured on the sales floor, I would expect staff to show some level of concern, apologize for the incident, and take appropriate steps to address the safety issue. Instead, the response felt dismissive and indifferent. I hope management takes safety concerns more seriously and ensures employees are trained on how to respond when a customer gets hurt in the store. read more

Enjoyable experience. Clean location, friendly staff and also friendly patrons. Store was in order, aisles were easy to navigate, shelves all nicely packed and well demonstrated. And my favorite part of the visit, I found quiet a few things made in the usa..Spain and Italy and India. Such a refreshing moment to know that not everything is made in china... Give this location of 4.25 stars... Better than most locations. And so much more selection Parking lot is ample clean and stores around the location offer other shopping opportunities. read more

You'll find me here after a tough day, stocking up on festive decor to hide from my feelings. I love their selection of kitchen and bathroom essentials, candles, rugs, and dopamine decor. 12/27/21 After Christmas sales are hard to find these days and this place was no exception. I've depleted my wrapping supplies & was hoping to replenish it today. NOT. My sister went to the 99 cent store & Target and the inventory's low for the gift wrapping essentials especially gift bags. Compared to Marshalls at Lakewood the sale prices here are pricier. For instance, I found good sized candles over at Marshalls for around $4-5 and the ones I found here were for $6-8 at this location. My sister saw a package of Monk fruit sugar for $10.99 and she said it was for $8.99 last time she was there (2 wks ago). There were plenty beat things but nothing that wowed me so I walked out of there empty handed. Not even a calendar that I actually needed. It neatly arranged & organized and let's not forget how marketing wants to remind us early that there's the next money making holiday is coming. No, not New Year's because they couldn't wait for 2022 to come (and then some).....Valentines Day. read more

No one's friendly, no smiles or hello. Worst service today, left an everlasting bad taste. I noticed the tower game box damaged so I looked inside and it was damaged. It wasn't a scratch it was damaged in the corner. It was dented inwards, wood splintered and visually less than perfect. So, I asked for a discount. I wasn't expecting much maybe 10-15 percent off. The cashier who had to go ask the manager said, no... ok, u guys can put it back on display cause obviously don't want to get rid of inventory. How is it that I've gotten a discount with a simple scratch on a gold picture frame before. But I couldn't with this damaged box/item? Who would want to pay full price for something that isn't perfect condition? I'd rather drive to Seal Beach location. Where it's bigger, better inventory, better customer service. This location seems to go through different managers & staff. Needs better management overall. read more

They have a great selection of rugs, I was able to find the perfect rug for my apartment here. It did take about 20 mins for someone to come help me get the rug down but for the price, I'm satisfied. I was hoping to find a door mat but they didn't have any that day. read more

The Monday night manager will harass you in the parking lot if you park and get off your car at 9:15pm. I got off my car and first thing I hear is "we do close at 9:30"(not even a hello, hi, good evening). I am fully aware of that, she responded "I am telling that to all the people parking". I was in the store Monday afternoon with my grandma and mom and my grandma (who is hard of hearing and gets confused a lot) was looking for a specific teapot. Your employee Randa was so patient and helped my grandma for quite a while grab different ones off the shelves and helped her make a good decision for her budget and specific needs. It was a busy day that day in the store with a lot of customers, but she still took the time to help my grandma and us out with a friendly and professional demeanor. I was also looking for a electric wine opener and she found me at different parts of the store just to bring me different options to choose from. I thought that was so thoughtful and special. I bought a big wall art from this place. After I paid it and found that the art is too big to fit into my car. So I went back to the store and I asked one of cashier to hold it for me. I told her I will pick it up by next day. I told her I already paid for that art. The girl is not nice. She just ask my name and put it next to her. Next day I went back for picking my art. Guess what? The art is gone. Nobody knows where my art is. They can't find my wall art. They said I didn't put the correct holding paper. But the cashier didn't ask me to fill the form, how should I know I need to fill up whatever the right holding paper? It really makes me upset because I looking for that type of wall art long time. Overly crowded, & extremely over-priced home goods. Clothing sections are incredibly messy and disorganized.

Stumbled upon today's grand opening of this HomeGoods store located directly across the street from Bella Terra shopping center. This is a HomeGoods store only, not a combination of TJ Maxx and HomeGoods. What that means is that this location sells only home accessories. It does not sell clothes or shoes. It was late in the day and there were plenty of customers but HomeGoods did a fantastic job of overstaffing the entire store. We arrived at 5pm and there were two management staff greeting customers at the front door. The store looks small from the outside but is surprisingly larger once inside. We were expecting the selection to be picked over after a full day but all of the shelves looked surprisingly fully stocked. There seemed to be a staff member in every other aisle assisting a customer or straightening merchandise. When we got to the check out line, the wait was less than 2 minutes as they had every single cash register open and even had a couple of extra temporary register stations going. Great place to find decorative items for the house. We went with an interior decorator and picked up 19 pieces for the home. The store was easy to navigate and the employees were very helpful and stored our items for us until we could pick them up. If you apply for their credit you get an additional 10%. read more

If you can find what you're looking for, you're set! But that doesn't always happen. Also, if you see something you like, buy it because chances are you'll never see it here again. The inventory at this store (& all HomeGoods) is so inconsistent that it's like playing roulette every time you walk in. On my particular visit, a child knocked over a glass ornament (might've been his fault, might also be the fault of the stores since they try and cram as much inventory as they can on every inch of shelving) and no one came to clean it up. My wife and I actually ended up pushing everything out of the walkways so that other customers wouldn't be injured. 15 minutes later when we were at check out, we told an employee and they said they had just sent someone to clean it up. Why would it take so long to clean it up? read more

There's a lot of really nice home decorations here. I really love how they have a variety of different designs for you to choose from. They have really awesome candles. The candle section is my favorite section bc they have so so so many scents!! My favorite candle from there is the remarkably rose/vanilla. The packaging is the cutest... And it smells so delicious!!! The outside packaging is somewhat vintage with florals and vines. Love it. If you see if make sure you get it! Other things i would buy from here are there pillows... Yes their pillows are so nice and comfortable. I bought two pillows that are creamy white for my bed that have pearl beads all over, which is really elegant looking and fits well..
