I originally posted this in 2019, but I'm posting it again because I still feel hurt by what happened and hope someone can offer advice. This was the worst furniture-buying experience I've ever had. My mother and I purchased more than $6,000 worth of furniture. During the purchase, two employees each asked me for about $65 for their services, and I also gave approximately $1,700 in cash that never appeared on my receipt. There were so many items that I couldn't calculate the total myself, and I was told the cash would later be applied to the credit account I opened through their financing partner. I was also told I couldn't use my Bank of America credit card. Later, I discovered that the cash payment was not listed on my receipt and had not been credited to my financing account. I contacted the store many times, but I was told they could not locate the funds. To make matters worse, they delivered an old, dirty bed to my home. When I complained, I was charged another $100 for a redelivery. The delivery also left a hole in my house. When I called customer service, my experiences varied. Some employees were polite but said they couldn't help. Others hung up on me, and I even had people laugh at me while I was trying to explain what happened. I don't remember the exact date of the purchase because it happened years ago. I initially paid the balance down to around $600, but within a couple of months I ended up paying about $2,000, including more than $1,400 in interest. Looking back, I wish I had been more knowledgeable and better at understanding the paperwork. I feel like my elderly mother and I were taken advantage of. I have a mental impairment, and I worked very hard to earn that money. At the time, I worked as a manicurist and a caretaker. I often dealt with difficult working conditions and harassment, but I still did my best to save for those purchases. I'm sharing my experience because it still affects me today. Extremely disappointing experience with Living Spaces. I have purchased from Living Spaces before, but this will likely be my last time. My Order Summary clearly states "Up to 3rd Floor," and I purchased the armoire based on that delivery commitment. If I had known it was only doorstep delivery, I would not have made the purchase. On delivery day, the team failed to complete the delivery and left the heavy armoire downstairs. I went back to the store the same day for help, but I was told it was handled by a third-party delivery company. After multiple follow-ups, Living Spaces refused to address the discrepancy between my receipt and their explanation. They only repeated that it was a final sale and could not be returned, without explaining why my receipt states "Up to 3rd Floor." A company should stand behind the terms shown on its own purchase documents. Very disappointed with the lack of accountability and customer service. read more

So I received a recliner and it had stains on it. I called and was speaking to a rep named Ana. I had sent pictures of the stains from a supposedly "new" recliner. Everything was going well, they gave me two options, have a technician come out to try and clean it or take a discount. I chose to take the discount because I didn't want to deal with the headache of exchanging this large item. She asked me if I would like to receive the discount back to the original card that ended in these 4 digits and I said "no, wait, I had paid with two cards, a visa gift card and a credit card. She told me the last 4 digits and I was not familiar with this card so I said it needs to be refunded to my personal credit card. She proceeds to put me on hold and then comes back and tells me the lead said there's nothing we can do you will have to contact the credit card company of the visa gift card. How the hell am I supposed to contact them?? Who keeps a visa gift card credit card after using it?!?! So I said I need it to be refunded to my actual personal credit card. And proceeds to argue with me that I said yes to her question of "did you want it back on the original card? I said I need to speak to someone above you and this lead person above you that said there's nothing they can do, because this is ridiculous! She puts me on hold and then tells me after that unfortunately there is no one above the lead here past 7pm. So they will call you back within 24hrs. Clearly you guys don't want to deal with this so you're just trying to pass it off. This is the biggest load of crap I've ever seen. Do not go here for your purchases. On the other hand, sales rep (Guy) who actually sold me the recliner was nice and he gets 5 stars but all this other nonsense gets them 0 stars. Don't ever buy a couch from here. Spent money on a nicer sectional, within a year there's already rips and tears. Even the nicer ones are cheap. Bought a pull out couch for our guest bedroom and the first time we used it for guests we noticed it sank to one side. Cheap products. As someone who can sometimes loathe the looming presence of sales people, it was comforting to learn this location does not get paid based on commission. You're set to roam freely, and ask questions to genuinely learn. This location has a surround sound immersive sectional and recliner which had my SO hooked and I'm sure he'll be back when we eventually no longer have a downstairs neighbor. Lol *The seating is like those fancy movie theater ones that vibrate to your shows and has the speakers beside your head or you can plug in/connect via Bluetooth. Like other retail stores, there were also reduced price/as is items for sale that shipped as is and tbh they weren't horrible either. If you're in the market for furniture this may be a great spot to stop first. read more

I will never shop at living spaces again. Their products aren't the best, and that could be forgiven considering the price point. But not when the service is as poor as it is. Not to mention the extremely unforgiving return policy. I ordered a pillow and it turned out to be the incorrect size. Never used it. Still in the packaging. I took it back to the store a couple weeks later and they wouldn't budge on their 7 day policy. 7 days is not in line with the industry standard. For a mattress, couch- sure. But a throw pillow. Get a brain living spaces I will NEVER return. And to the robot account who will respond with an apology and a phone number- thanks for proving the profoundly inept culture that is at Living Spaces. read more

This review is for Scott with the long hair. He was the kindest person in that sort , accommodating very helpful while explains the differences and the differences. Was respectful even to my two littles , and was just all around not your typical salesman vibe. Went over our choices and even priced it out so we can see what made the most sense. Tax and all, didn't loose patience. We are still debating in our choice but feel like it was a great selection for couches. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM LIVING SPACES!!! I purchased the Kai sofa from their HB store less than two months ago and it is already pilling on the cushions. I called customer service and they informed me it was not covered by the warranty and that I should buy a pill shaver! Are you kidding me?!?!?! I spent over 2k and this is the service and quality of product they provide?! They need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau! Horrible product and the worst customer service ever!!!! DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM HERE! Cheap, terrible quality furniture. The warranty is absolutely useless and a waste of money. They find every loophole they can to wiggle out of helping you with a warranty claim. We bought a love seat/couch from here. Within 6 months the cushioning of the seat on both side of the couch sagged and gave way to where your ass literally starts falling into the back of the couch when reclined in the seat. Cheap quality and incredibly uncomfortable. I feel like I'm sitting on palettes wrapped in fabric. This company is literal garbage and so is their company. We are filing a lawsuit against this company. It's been a battle since we got this furniture and it's now escalated to this to try and get our money back. STEER CLEAR!! read more

On August 3, 2025, I purchased a Rue Sofa. Delivery was promised for August 15. Less than 24 hours before, I was told it "failed inspection." I was rescheduled for August 17 between 8-12, but that morning -- just one hour before delivery -- I got another cancellation email. It has now been over a month since I paid in full, and I still don't have my sofa. When I called, I was told the "new estimate" is late September. That means nearly two full months without a couch in my own home because of their failures. And their idea of fixing this? Waiving my delivery fee. No discount. No meaningful apology. Just a dismissive gesture that adds insult to injury. I chose Living Spaces after spending hours testing furniture and trusting their brand. Instead, I've been left without a functional living room, forced to rearrange my schedule repeatedly, and emotionally drained by their incompetence. Living Spaces has shown they cannot deliver what they sell, they cannot communicate honestly, and they do not care about their customers. If you're thinking of buying here -- don't. I bought a couch last August from the Spaces. I signed up for the carefree insurance warranty pack for $89 and when I file the claim they sent someone out and he suggested that they sent me a new cover for my cushions because the stain wouldn't come out so I called four separate times and every time they would say it's on its way it's on its way and if I don't receive it by May 27 to call them again and I called them and I absolutely cannot get a hold of a human being. I am absolutely frustrated with this place. so disappointed. I want my $89 back but I have no idea how I'm going to go about that since you can't talk to a human being. read more

I just received my recliner from living spaces, I ordered yesterday and was at my apartment by 10am. Living spaces has a great selection of recliners, was planing on stopping by Ashley Furniture but didn't need to. But I'm really wanted to write this review to thank Scott. He helped me and my mom purchase a great recliner. He wasn't pushy or felt like he was trying to upsell. Great in-store customer service. Everyone in there was very friendly and very knowledgeable with the product. However, I can't say the same for delivery services. They were unmotivated and lazy. According to the technician, they were unable to carry the product upstairs. However, there was plenty of room so they offered me to try myself. I declined that offer because I already paid for them to deliver and give the full service . They took the product back and I'm now charged a 10% restocking fee and also charged for the full service fee, which is I believe it's roughly $100. I tried calling to dispute this matter, but no one was able to help me over the phone . Needless to say, I will no longer do business with this company. Well, after writing a terrible review with all our problems with Living Spaces and their warranty company, they wrote under our review to contact them for further help. What a joke...after 3 emails back and forth, they told us they have nothing to do with THEIR warranty company. They told us the warranty company was owned by another company, and they can't help us with them. My answer to that.....why would you have a warranty company that you have no control over? This just adds more bad feelings towards Living Spaces. I also checked; every bad review had the same response to contact them for further help. Don't bother you won't get any. At this point I am so frustrated with Living Spaces, and I will be telling the world not to buy from them EVER. No wonder their Yelp page is almost 100% bad reviews. read more

This is the worst service I have ever gotten. Despite their terrible reviews, I gave these guys a shot. Spent $6,000 dollars with them on a couch and bed. Delivery system is the worst ever. They do not call you or let you know what time they are coming. They give you broad time frames and then out of no where will say that they are arriving in two minutes? What kind of service is that? Someone should be calling you saying that they are arriving at 5, or 6, or between 6 and 7. Now I have to wait 48 hours to reschedule because of their lack of communication? Terrible furniture quality and terrible customer service/warranty. We purchased a sectional and also purchased the $500 extended warranty plan and they're refusing to cover anything under the warranty. Almost every seam is torn after barely more than a year of normal use, on the back cushions and the bottom cushions, and they say it's not covered, even tho in-store they promised that basically everything was covered under this warranty. I would recommend to anyone that is shopping here, to find a different store. Wouldn't recommend this brand to anyone. read more

Even though you set a delivery date in future because you weren't able to take immediate delivery. Even though they send you email offering early delivery a few weeks later. It doesn't mean you will get your item. They will literally sell it out from under you. And of course it's conveniently discontinued. Not sales associate problem, but it's the whole company problem who could care less about their customers. All they care about is selling the item you paid for to someone else. In this extremely short amount of time, two cushions have become malformed and look to have been used for at least ten years! When I submitted a warranty claim, Living Spaces informed me that this is considered "typical" and "not a defect". While the buying experience was okay--some staff were helpful, others not--what happened afterward was a nightmare. During delivery, one of the drivers pointed out that the mattress they brought was dirty. He told my wife they would take it back and deliver a new one the next day. She agreed. On top of that, several bed frame pieces were missing, which they also promised to deliver the following day. When I called to confirm the delivery, I was told there was no delivery scheduled because I had "returned" the mattress. This was not true--I was simply following the delivery driver's instructions for an exchange. I went into the store and explained the situation. Matthew assured me he would handle it and that I had nothing to worry about. But 30 minutes later, I received an email saying I would have to repurchase the mattress. To make matters worse, I could no longer use the original 18-month financing I had been approved for, and was essentially forced to pay in full. Both Matthew and Daisy were involved, yet neither followed through or resolved the issue. Emails went unanswered, customer service was dismissive, and no one took accountability. HOWEVER, James saw us browsing and immediately stepped in and guided through making our dream living room! he was so attentive, detailed and was willing to following us all over the store while we searched for chairs! he was so kind to us and put so much work into creating a mock up of our cough on the ipad just so we could visualize it! highly recommend coming here and finding James! read more

if 0 stars was an option that's what it would be... look I understand it's not a luxury furniture store, but when an average family shells out $800.00, $900.00 or $1000.00 for a couch plus a 5-year warranty for another 100 dollars I'd expect the couch to AT THE VERY LEAST last 5 years then... this thing broke in the first year and it's been HELL trying to get a claim on the warranty we paid for. not only is it impossible to get ahold of a representative but the ai "help" is useless and never helpful and then when it tries to connect you to a real person no one is EVER available to take your call. we finally after jumping through a million loops got someone to come out and look at the couch, which it was some third party guy who was contracted and didn't work for living spaces, he took the whole couch apart and said oh yeah this whole thing is broken on both sides and it was made with extremely cheap wood and the wood had knobs in it causing it to be extremely brittle and unsupported. the whole experience has been a joke. they do not care about customers, and they are total cheapskates you're better off putting that down payment on a couch that will last and or just going and getting a cheap couch from Ikea cause even those are made better. will never be doing business with living space again moving forward. and you all probably should save yourselves the headache and anger of being ignored and taken advantage of. read more

Updated-we've been told we didn't request a replacement within the proper time frame, and that the warranty doesn't consider the bulging frame a defect. I am writing in behalf of the insurance you purchase for accidental damage and the furniture. I purchased a sectional couch. Within 1 year completely falling apart. The springs sticking out from the base, wood frame broken, broken zippers and ripped pillow cushions. The worst purchase in history. Better to shop somewhere else. I filed an insurance claim and was declined. The broken zipper cut my children's leg that how we found it broken. All within 1 year. Geeze. Also, a nail from the wood frame poking out cut my other child's leg while he was resting. Horrible quality. Please consider replacing my couch with the insurance plan I purchased. We didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. We just needed a recliner, not top of the line , something on the cheap side !! (To us that would be under $500) Right away the sales person saw my husband was having difficulty walking and offered a scooter to get to back area of the shore (Huntington Beach location) . We were shown two models (the one that brought us in and a less expensive model) everything was clearly explained , Chantel helped us by asking us some questions and showing us the interior design of each and the comparison to higher end model . We set up the delivery for today . The delivery team was awesome . They had the two pieces put together and in place within minutes of arriving . I did get several updates during the morning as to arrival time. I can't think of a time we had an easier time finding, purchasing and getting delivery !! Great service!! The sales guy told me 24 months zero percent financing and they did the contract on a tablet, so I do not have a paper copy. On the 18th month, unbeknownst to me they hit me with $1000 interest charge for the entire amount because it wasn't paid off. The couch was $1900! And then I paid an extra $1k in interest??!?!? I even had the date set to remind me to pay it off. My boyfriend remembers the salesman said 24 months also. The credit card company says there's nothing they can do so I have to take it up with living spaces. What if the salesman just misspoke and there is no recourse because I got lied to or deceived, I can't prove that!!! This is a terrible waste of money and I will never finance anything like this again. Don't get scammed like I did! read more

Horrible experience! Don't shop here- 1. There is no direct customer care line and 2. They tell you what you want to hear for the sale. My 6 year old Picked a bed out and we were told the bottom trundle was on back order but will be in the following few weeks. Months later and trying to call we had to go into the store to find the peace was never ordered. They didn't even offer a discount for the time /energy spent for their mistake and my son not getting it. I will NEVER buy something from this place- Highly recommend you don't either. read more
