Horrible Customer Service at Home Goods on Irvine Blvd. So much so, I could use a bloody Mary.
    Cris D.

Very disappointing customer service provided by management. You should know before shopping at this store location in Irvine off of Irvine Blvd. Go somewhere else especially if you're also an avid shopper that likes to spend. Purchased some home decor items, pillows and plants in July. Due to COVID, was not able to get out to make a return due to compromised health, their hours of amended opperation and the really bad air quality due to all the fires. I called earlier today to explain the situation to the manager over the phone on 10-6-2020, they said sure bring it by tonight. Went in at 8 pm, asked to speak to the manager and he said no only store credit. I explained everything again and he was rude and said nope. The cashier even said sorry for that. Its not her fault for him being rude. I normally get the name of the person I speak to, but I totally forgot to this time. Only thing that would make this right is if they keep their word and stay professional especially due to the situation we are in with businesses opening back up during COVID AND RETURN THE FUNDS BACK TO MY CREDIT CARD. TAKE BACK YOUR STORE CREDIT.

$1300. Why. (A month later they are still there)

This store has always been my favorite to come to, not just because it's local, pretty, and cute but because of their kindest management and customer service! This store is managed by such a kind woman who really cares for her customers and their voice! She is extremely understanding and willing to hear what the community wants. Once she knows, she sets her best foot forward to make sure the best of the best is received. It might sound like typical business decisions, but the intention is what truly separates the person behind this store from any other. If you want to support a local business, this is the place. Ok, should be called "Trashbag Tuvalu." Why? Because they sent me home with my purchase, a lamp,…read morein a black, Hefty-looking Trash Bag. That's right. A 30 gallon, Lawn and Leaf size plastic trash bag. No paper wrap, no bubble wrap, nothing. Most ridiculous thing I've seen from a "upscale store." TRUE upscale starts from the beginning to the END of the sales experience. It gets better... Aesthetically pleasing store if you're into the upscale beach vibe "thing" for your home. Initially, service was wonderful, a pleasant lady asked if I needed any help. Found a lamp yay! Nice discount yay! Pay. They plop it into a CLEAR trash bag. I walk out with said bag. I see black dirt all over the cream shade. Walk back in. Uhh... excuse me I think you gave me a dirty bag. Lady started making an excuse...but no go because it's OBVIOUS the bag literally had dirt in it. No matter! They'll just use sticky tape to pick up the dirt from the shade and put it ANOTHER trashbag. PLUS, they took out the bulb that was already in the socket. Cheap much? Lol!!! I was dying laughing because I walked to Main Beach where my husband was waiting, all the while carrying a giant black trash bag like an off- season Santa sourcing stuff from the 'hood. Yes, I'm local, and no I won't go again. Don't assume anything about your customers.

I went in without many expectations and ended up spending quite a bit of time browsing. We didn't buy anything this visit since we wanted to get a feel for what it was all about, but we're already planning our next trip. There's plenty of free parking, and admission is free too--which, in this economy, is definitely a win! We love that it's so close to home, and it's been a long time since we've come across something like this in the area. We'll definitely be back in July before school starts again!

It can almost be like a treasure hunt looking for that special item that calls out to you! Even if you aren't looking for something specific, you might find something that is awesome (to you anyway). There is definitely a wide variety of stuff, from vintage clothing, to old car emblems, home decor, old business signs, and toys that, depending on your age, might make you remember the good old days. Prices can be a bit high, and some vendors will haggle, but this isn't really the kind of market where you get an amazing deal. Most people know what they have and know the market for their stuff. Vendors are still friendly though and will chat about what they have. Located in the old Laguna Hills parking lot, it has about 10-12 rows of vendors that are about 50 yards long. Last time we went there was an agua fresca stand but no food vendors. Even though it's in a parking lot, parking can be a challenge so be prepared. Everything is under construction as the mall is closed down and the buildings are empty so people kind of just park wherever. All that said, this can make for a great weekend activity to get out and walk around. Though it is infinitely better in the morning when it is less crowded and cooler outside! Being in a parking lot there is no shade and things heat up quickly in the afternoon. Overall, a solid local experience, especially if you like flea markets.
