Definitely a location to come to if you're looking to snag a deal on name brands! Being the bookworm I am, I really enjoyed the many choices of Lifelines gel pens, craft kits, and reads in store. That said, someone had managed to spill something sticky over the stationery section, which made it a bit of a pain to handle items there. I was able to ask for a discount on a boxed set since components listed on the packaging were missing. There is a sizable fitness section towards the middle of the store, if you're looking to bulk up your home gym or practice (pun intended). Generally speaking, TJ Maxx/clothes/beauty is on the left when you enter and HomeGoods/decor/furniture is on the right. It's a combined line though, and I don't know why but it's the most brightly lit I've ever seen a checkout. Overall would give 4 for selection, but would rank a 3 on condition based on what I mentioned before.

This place is massive, TJ Maxx and home goods combined with some high end designer clothes. It's crowded, the lines are long, and parking sucks at lunch times and probably after work, be prepared. Know what the numbers mean on the tags to avoid clothes made for TJ max and find the discounts on real brand deals. This place does have some great deals if you can avoid the distractions. They have a ton of purses and luggage too if you have time to dig. The home goods section is huge too! It is over filled so you do have to be cautious and avoid breaking stuff. Make sure all items are in tact before leaving. Overall same as any other location. The line can get long. Even when they have a lot of staff you'll wait 15-30 minutes to check out, avoid lunch time to shop if you're in a rush. I've found some good stuff here, I like to shop for little gifts for people and I'll definitely be back.

It looks a bit desolate, maybe because I was expecting it to be very busy and packed. Since Mother's Day is tomorrow, I was expecting all places to be very busy including this one. The store is clean, many items worth $1.25, household items, food, snacks, balloons, party supplies, etc. When I arrived at the counter to pay, there was only one cashier manning the register. Of course, many customers were buying balloons so this was an extra step & she's tending to this as well. The line grew to more than 10 people & no staff came up to help. I inquired if she would please call for assistance but she said her manager is on a break & no one is available at this time to assist. Thankfully there's no need for me to ever have to come back to this location. The handwritten sign by the entrance states, "No Cash payment"

Don't be confused by their Japanese inspired items - Miniso is actually owned by a Chinese company, and because of this, some of their things are cheaper than similar Hello Kitty items you may find at Sanrio. The best time to shop at Miniso is when they have sales or clearance items. They mark down their prices by a lot! Miniso can now be found at most malls and shopping centers in our area. However, I feel the entrance and layout of the Irvine store is a bit different than the other locations I've visited. Upon walking in, the aisles are very narrow. It is not easy to get inside or exit out of the store if there's people standing in the front. The store itself is very clean and organized. The staff didn't really acknowledge any of the customers - they all just looked bored. Surprisingly, my daughter did not find anything that she liked and we thankfully walked out empty handed. :)

My husband and I ended up coming to this Five Below because we needed a second charger cable since I only had one in my car and his phone battery was at 20%. We walked in around 6:15 pm and were greeted by the 2 employees at the register. We walked towards the back of the store and found all of the many charger cables. He ended up purchasing 2 cables since he had complained that the cable I have in the car was too slow. My husband also ended up pick up a wireless battery bank (but the charge was slow so my husband ended up returning it to a Five Below location near our home in San Gabriel Valley and had no trouble returning it with a receipt). I also ended up picking up a few things too. Right when I first walked in, I saw these cute dog pens and this dog shaped tape dispenser. Being that both were pretty cheap I decided to get both (now did I need any of these items? No but I got them anyway, lol. Five Below reminds me of the Dollar Spot at Target and Daiso where there are just so many things that I didn't realize that I wanted until I saw them...). Later on when we picked the items we wanted to pay, we went back to the front of the store to pay for those items. To pay, it was all self check out registers. We were able to ring ourselves up but we did see a family that had some trouble and needed assistance from a employee. Although we did not have trouble going through the self check out, we did see a male employee at a register who was on his phone. My husband asked him if he was open and he said 'you have to use the self check out' and then went back to his phone ... I think that is pretty poor customer service, as you show to the customer that you do not want to lift a finger to help, especially when there was no line and the store was clearly not busy... (sorry but young people today....). But overall, we were able to find the items we needed (and more) and had a positive visit. If I lived in this area, I would most likely be a regular.

We ended up finding a small anime/manga branded notebook as a future gift, with the single employee being helpful and very pleasant to talk to converse with. With 250 stores in the U.S., 108 in California (with 10 just within 10 miles of Long Beach), Miniso (a made up word, trying to evoke an idea of minimalism Japanese) is rapidly growing in the U.S. It's symbol is very similar to Uniqlo, it sells product similar to Muji, and tries to provide value like Daiso. Was curious if any copyright infringement cases have been brought in the U.S. but nothing popped out.

We found an easy chair we wanted but then found it at another furniture store nearby for about 1/2 the price, so make sure you price check everything. I wouldn't buy a bed here for that reason, unless you know for sure it's a really good deal. They also tend to take longer than some other furniture stores, but they offer free shipping on most items. The home section, especially for kitchen/dinning is well laid out, and has a great selection. The holiday's is where they really shine if you're looking for seasonal settings. This store also has Macy's Toy's R Us that seems a little larger than your average Macy's. Of course, there's your standard Starbucks that you can find in most Macy's.

We happened to be in the neighborhood and really wanted a new couch, so we popped in. Great selection, great sales floor, and the guy that helped us, Bill, was awesome. We came in just to look around, and we ended up finding the perfect couch. Bill talked us through it, helped us figure out delivery, and we went ahead and bought it right then and there. Couch was in our apartment and put together perfectly the very next day. Couldn't be happier. Thank you for giving my wife a positive furniture buying experience. It can be stressful, but this wasn't.
