I came here to return some items I had received as gifts at a baby shower. I informed one of the team members on the floor that none of my items had tags. I was told that that would not be a problem and I could receive store credit. Fine by me. After finding items I wanted to purchase, I made my way to check out. The individual who rung me up, stated I would be given store credit. They then proceeded to try and issue me almost $300 in store credit for eight baby onesies. This is my first red flag, as I knew this person had no clue what they were doing. They then asked for my ID. I was then told due to the dollar amount that I would have to call corporate. I spent time packing up my infant to come to the store, only to be told different scenarios of what was going to happen with my return. Waste of time. Incompetent staff. I super appreciated the staff at this location! There was an associate walking around who stopped me and let me know about their rewards programs. I usually check stores for this and any coupons but did not have time this day. She took down my information and signed me up so by the time I was checking out, my account was already made! I did earn a few dollars in rewards with this purchase so that was nice. I also had a TON of jeans, and everyone was so helpful in finding me the right size, wash, and style! Who doesn't love a good deal? For example, $3 tanks today... But only if you're size XXL or XS. I exaggerate, but it is frustrating when you can't find your size. They have a large selection in the off sizes though (for ladies). Gotta jump on the hot deals or you'll have slim pickin's. But their kids selection was pretty good today ($4 tees). This location is okay, better than Metro Pointe imo, but not as good as the Spectrum or MV. Out on the floor, I couldn't find someone to help me get an item down from up high. And the (perpetual) line here always seems to go so slow. Only three cashiers when I was there today, despite the long line. Clearly they are hurting for employees. Why Not a Clear Sign? Just bought t-shirt marked as $8 on signs but was charged $15 at checkout. I noted to cashier that the posted price was less and his response was "Oh OK", implying please just pay and leave. Frustrated I paid and RE-looked at $8 sign, the sign did say $8 in large letters, but in small letters below it said (for 2 or more?!). So for $1 more I should have bought a second shirt if I had analyzed the sign or if the cashier helped me understand situation. I am a good customer and I don't usually ask for something if I don't need it. She checked at the back twice (because I liked 2 items) and you can tell she's really doing her job. This review relates to the condition and service only at the Tustin location, and not the clothing or pricing. I've been visiting this store for 15 years, and while it's always been a bit rough around the edges, it's never looked neglected like it does now. Is Old Navy doing out of business? You have to wonder when you see peeling and chipped paintwork, layered on dust, and staff who appear disengaged. One associate was wearing a sweater with the brand of another clothing store emblazoned on the front - I guess they wanted to be Anywhere But At Old Navy. Product at the checkout line is covered in dust. Not just a few items, but practically everything in the checkout line. How could the staff not notice? Does Old Navy have a cleaning crew? The checkout counter is tatty and chipped. There's dust in and around the cash machines and pin pads - in fact the only part of the counter that isn't dusty is the part where you place your clothes to pay for them. Perhaps Old Navy is using their customers as an ad hoc dusting crew. I really didn't want to put my clothes down on the counter, and I didn't get that usual good feeling you get when you make a purchase. Basically I couldn't wait to get out of there. I have attached a photo I took to show the state of neglect. This wasn't even the worst part of the checkout line. That amount of dust takes weeks to build up. Gross, gross, gross. read more

I give it two stars for the nice cashier that helped me, but I must agree with a previous review. Most unorganized, and dirty Old Navy I have visited as well. Its filthy! I put my clothes under a rack of clothes because my daughter had to use the restroom (disgusting too). I didn't want somebody to take my daughters cute bathing suits (haha). So when I grabbed them out came a cloud of dust and it was all over my clothes. It was gross!!! They need to clean under the clothes, and organize the entire store. Great for maternity finds! I spent $170 at Pea in a Pod and got one pair of tights, one pair of dress pants and one pair of jeans. That was including a $50 off $200 coupon. I felt really guilty about it and heard that Old Navy had some great maternity options so I decided to check it out one afternoon. Boy, am I glad I did because I got 7 maternity pieces for $40 total! The maternity section of the store is all the way in the back, tucked in a corner near the toddler clothes so it can be difficult to find. Within the maternity section, there was a little clearance section where I was able to score some great finds. I got a three pairs of maternity pants - one capri jeans, one skinny black jeans, one corduroy blue pant that is suitable for work. The jeans were (I kid you not) $0.97. The black skinny jeans were $14.99 and the corduroys were $7.98. In addition, I got a few maternity tanks for $1.98 and some other maternity basics that I've been mixing into my daily wardrobe. I am sure that people do not always get this lucky but I hit a gold mine when I went. Around 15 weeks, my regular dress pants started getting tight and I really needed more comfortable pants to wear to work on a daily basis. Tight waistbands was actually making my nausea and morning sickness worse so I needed a solution asap. I feel so thankful that Old Navy has affordable maternity clothes so that getting comfortable maternity wear doesn't have to break the bank. Granted, the quality of the jeans are not comparable to my Joe's or Sevens jeans but who cares, I only need them for 9 months. For $5 or $10, I'll take it! The cashier who checked me out told me that many people buy things online via Old Navy maternity then return to this Tustin store, so many times there are one of a kind maternity items on clearance simply because they were a returned item. I am now 25 weeks and will probably plan on hitting up the store again soon. Wish me luck! read more

Instead of calling for more employees one of the employees decided to clean up the clothes under their counters!!!! When you have a long line of people waiting 15-20 min to purchase products you serve the people first, not the clothes under the counter! I just moved to the area and this is one of the most disgusting, disorganized, unclean stores I have ever shopped in. Clothes were everywhere, it was extremely difficult to find anything, tables were just tangled messes of unfolded clothes, and a lot of the hanging clothes were out of place (meaning I would find a shirt I liked and be unable to find any others nearby to check for my size). My wife dragged my boys and me to Old Navy to look for some matching clothes for a family picture at the beach. She found a couple things for the boys, but not what she wanted. Old Navy has decent prices, but the quality is really lacking. The fabrics tend to be very thin and every Old Navy shirt I have ever owned shrank badly in the wash. Colors tend to fade too. I think I have my wife just about convinced that it will be fine for me to wear a Hawaiian shirt that I already have in the closet. Came here to return something I ordered online. They had one of their crazy sales where everything in the store was 40% off. The line was 20 deep and they had 3 registers open. I was not satisfied was the customer service provided. I picked up a few clothing for my baby and asked the sale associate if the ones I picked were on sale, the sales rep said "yes". Then during check out the young lady said it rang up as full price. I walked to the back and snapped a photo of the sign where majority of the items were placed. I went back to check out and explain to the sales associate what had happened. Herb the sales associate told me to relax. Really??? That's what you tell your customers?? I would have expected something more friendly!! How about, "sorry, items get missed placed all the time. We can just adjust the price."
