I always find good stuff when it comes to home stuff especially for the kitchen and for the bathroom. I always end up getting a few things here. It's more expensive here compared to Ross but totally worth it.

TJ Maxx is probably my favorite out of the retailers like Ross, Burlington, and Marshall's. The store that I have frequented mostly has been a standalone one without a HomeGoods within it. This combo store is at the District in Tustin. Lots of parking available shared with other retailers. Depending what you are looking for, there are great deals! I like the snacks section within HomeGoods as well as the Bath and Body section. When the hubby and I visited, it was a Sunday morning shortly after opening. So the store was clean and organized. We did not need any assistance on sales floor. The line to get to the counter was a just a few minutes or so of waiting. Cashier was efficient and kind. Easy 4 stars. We would be back whenever in this area again.

They always have such a wide selection of home décor, kitchenware, and seasonal items, and everything feels fresh and up to date with new arrivals all the time. You can easily find something unique for every room. The only downside is parking, it's often packed, and getting a spot can be a challenge. The checkout line inside can also get long, especially on weekends. Still, it's worth the trip for the variety and great finds!

Don't even live in Tustin but we frequent this location pretty much every weekend just for fun! End up spending money more often than not

I'll be specific about this, going to this location sucks. Nobody knows anything about the store,…read moreeveryone pretends they just got hired to work here. I went by to pick up a cable cord, found it by myself, total waste of time. Dropped by to pick up a lamp and television because I just moved to a new apartment, and the cashier was beyond stupid. Waited in line behind some customer who just bumped into me, like actually bumped against my shopping cart and didn't apologize or anything. Waited in line for 30 minutes and I'm not joking, the cashier is slow and rude. So she also told me that I was next in line to the cashier next to her, only problem, she only announced it secretly to the cashier and didn't tell the customer. I had to speak up and tell the customer behind her that I was next in line. I don't work here, the original cashier should have established that I was next in line, it's not some secret. So I yelled at her that she needed to tell the customer and the cashier instead of just telling me I had to wait for the other cashier. I was about to leave the store, this idiot just took the next customer and the other cashier took her next customer while I had to wait standing there telling the cashier that I was next in line. These morons play it off like it's normal behavior, so I took a picture of the cashier who originally screwed up, and she suddenly spoke English and got upset with me. She clearly wasn't going to get my phone, but she tried to. Either way, the cashier sucks, she takes forever to do a simple job designed for teenagers. Also, nobody assists you here, nobody cares about their jobs here. When you buy a lamp you have to go to another area to find the light bulbs for it. Plus the parking lot sucks, people hit your car with their doors. If you complain they don't review the cameras, they don't want to be liable for it. This place is garbage. Shop somewhere else.

The associates are also relatively to themselves and not really all that friendly, but they also are just doing their job so I can't really fault them for just showing up to do their work (for example, when the lines are backed up no associates really tell people in line to go to other registers). I do like that they have two entrances which makes it easier to park on either part of the parking lot and still be able to enter the store without any issue. Selection wise, this store always has a good stock of items. Anything ranging from your typical supermarket goods (candy, produce, etc.) to pedialyte popsicles to deodorant, they truly have it all. The aisles are well maintained and stocked up too, and I enjoy how the back corner of the store will always have seasonal items, such as items for Christmas or Back-to-School. The pricing is reasonable and Target offers a little bit of everything for everyone, such as the bargain bin up at the front of the store to using the Circle app to find discounts / coupons for current items. This is my go-to Target location and would certainly return for any other general goods that we may need.

I went to purchase a Breville coffee machine (BES870) that was clearly marked on sale for $319.99. I even have a photo showing the price. However, when I got to the register, it rang up as $550. I went to guest services, where Angie assisted me. Instead of helping, she accused me of placing the sale sticker myself and said they couldn't honor the price because it was "labeled incorrectly." Her tone was rude and dismissive, and she refused to offer any compromise--not even a partial discount. Target is known for its customer service, but there is no customer service at this Irvine location. I was shocked to be treated like a liar after two decades as a loyal customer. I did not place that sticker, and I welcome a camera review to confirm that. I expected better service and fairness. Very disappointed.

Shoes everywhere, clearance racks doing their own thing, sizes scattered in places they definitely did not belong. I tried on probably a dozen pairs and spent close to two hours searching. I fell hard for some black striped Adidas that absolutely did not love me back because my size was nowhere to be found. I was this close to panic-buying a pair I didn't even want just so I could leave -- texting photos to my husband and even asking ChatGPT for opinions -- when Brandon stepped in. We were chatting a bit and I mentioned I was heading to the Irvine Improv, which made the shoe hunt feel even more urgent. Brandon was holding it down in the shoe department all morning, and just as I was about to walk out, he casually comes up and says, "I found these." He was holding the exact white Adidas sneakers I had pictured before I even left my house. Size 9 1/2. On clearance. $52. The timing was unreal. I didn't get a chance to properly thank him because he disappeared back into the shoe chaos, so I'll say it here: Brandon, you're a rockstar. You saved my date night, my feet, and my patience.
