I must've came on a day that they just fully stocked their entire store. I enjoyed how clean orderly and will stocked. The whole store was. I'm also excited that they had so many different types of food. There is so many Asian, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, European brands that they happen to have their period on top of their organic items which I don't always look at, but, they had some really good snack bars that my kid enjoyed. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Their carts were a little annoying because a few that were unlocked. We're a little wobbly. Something that you can definitely overlook but does tend to be annoying if you're shopping for a long time. Genuinely might be the worst run Grocery Outlet in the area. The staff seem to be hired based off how long they can stretch checkout and are either stoned or on their first five minutes of the job. Some corner of the store always has a smell to it. The deals aren't bad but half the time you'll be wishing you just paid extra to shop at the Albertsons across the street. read more

First time at a grocery outlet because I was curious what they had. From what I saw, it was discounted groceries that expire very soon or within the year. Some groceries had already expired and were still on the shelves. I came on a Wednesday evening and the workers were stocking the shelves. A lot of the workers looked very young , but were helpful when I asked for something. I like the different choices they had including vegan options. I got frozen vegan pizza that was decently priced. One brand was 2 for $10, and the other brand was one $7.99. I wasn't too impressed with their milk section since the only nut milks were flavored milk or creamer. The parking lot was pretty big. People came and went. Don't forget to download the app for discounts and points. I would be back again to see what else they have the next time I come here. read more

Unfortunately, I hate writing bad reviews about places I'm going to go back to. I just moved to this town like two months ago and it's the most awful experience I've had in a long time. I don't know why every Mexican person down here seems to be a criminal every time they enter some venue. Take for instance grocery outlet on Live Oak. I love grocery outlet I go to every single grocery outlet. I possibly go to because they're very inexpensive. Fortunately, there's been three consecutive times where I've come into this particular location and I've been harassed by the people who work there for thinking that I'm going to steal something when I never do I don't steal. I don't steal OK. Not only that I probably make at least three times more than you guys that's besides the point it's just so sad that I can't feel comfortable in this town around all these rude people and at least there should be a little bastion of hope at the grocery outlet where people you know That don't have a lot of money. All good things must come to an end. This place is in free fall towards an inevitable permanent closure. A few months ago, the previous independent owner of this Grocery Outlet who was an awesome guy, sold, left, and took his outstanding staff with him. It was immediately evident they were gone, largely because that manager and his assistant manager were ALWAYS on the floor, interacting with customers, building relationships, ensuring a quality experience. I NEVER made it out of the store without one or both of them smiling and saying hello. Cashiers engaged with you like Trader Joe's; asked you about your day, made small talk while quickly and efficiently moving the line. My former five-star review wasn't just for kicks-- this store USED to be a breath of fresh air in a location that couldn't hold a tenant for more than six months before shuttering. I've never met the new manager. I've never seen her/him as far as I know. While there are a couple of nice high school kids working the front end, the balance of cashiers give you the stink eye. It would seem they have been told not to smile, but to make me feel bad about asking for bags, or for interrupting their work day with my patronage. Prices have gone through the roof-- on par with Albertson's across the street-- while selection and quality has free fallen. Strawberries? They're one of the first things you see when you walk in the store but they're ALWAYS rotten and moldy on the bottom now-- Always. Grocery Outlet's business model is to offer things that are cheaper because they're closer to expiration dates or overstocks, but the selection here now has really declined, and prices are higher than ever. Since they have no loss leaders, everything seems to be marked up, and then camouflaged by providing the "price at other stores" -- HAHA, no, Vons doesn't charge $15 for canola oil, kids. Unknown, micro-niche high-end truffle pasta sauce next to bargain-brand no-name crap, and nothing in between like they used to stock. Rubbery broccoli, spoiled sprouts and rotten spinach in the bag, bruised apples, and flaccid celery. Frozen section prices are the same or higher than other chain supermarkets. Meat selection is a joke. If I wanted to pay $20 for a bagged corned beef or $8.99 for a single serving of farm-raised color-added salmon, I can do that at Ralph's and be better assured it won't smell like the penguin enclosure at the Santa Barbara zoo when I unwrap it. For the last several months, the high school employees move into the aisles for the last two hours of their day, ostensibly restocking/refacing while utterly blocking passage with all sorts of boxes, and filling the store with their personal conversations rife with foul language and inappropriate topics. Really, customers don't want to hear the intimate details of your relationship, sweetie. Arrived at the store tonight at 9:25 (posted hours say 10 PM) and the automatic door didn't open. The door had broken before, so we opened it manually, and walked inside, got a cart to try our luck. One of the young ladies who works there--arguably the ONLY one who has been friendly, helpful, and professional since ownership changed--informed us that the store was closed. She explained that "only for this month" the store would be closing at nine. This isn't posted, and the door wasn't locked, but OK. We walked out, and it will be the last time. I can't imagine many of the former customers who were so glad when Grocery Outlet first opened here are still coming. Maybe that's why they're closing early? Without a complete turnaround, profound management changes, or a new buyer altogether, this place will be done soon, and join a long list of previous companies that tried and failed at this building. And for the record, I am REALLY BUMMED about this-- this neighborhood celebrated having a great locally owned community market when it first opened. That's over now. read more

This is the third grocery outlet that I usually take a trip for their deals. I think this one has a much better selection in the frozen section. They don't have the freezers with doors, but I enjoy seeing the products out and the open. Although the cold does get a bit much during winter, it's nice coming in during the hot summer to see what deals they got on ice cream and other frozen meals. They don't have much on other selections in one aisle, you have to go around the other aisles to see products that weren't in their respective aisles. What's special about this place is that the cashier will ring a bell and cheer on the person who saved a lot on their groceries. My toddler really enjoyed that the whole store staff and customers also cheered with them. read more

Does anybody remember a few years ago where they had muppet type characters doing the commercials for them? That leads me to affectionately call them the Fake Muppet Market-- because surely Jim Henson or Disney did not take too kindly to them using the hand puppet muppets to advertise groceries. Or else they didn't get compensated for the tribute. Anyhoo... this is an interesting funky chain where you can find one-of-a-kind items that maybe the giant retailer grocers think are too specialty or perhaps they over-stocked, but you can also find some regular items that only Grocery Outlet carries, you cannot find at your regular supermarket. It's usually best to expect your shop time to be much longer than you want, because you keep running into interesting things you've never seen before. It's called the Fake Muppet Market time warp, don't sweat it. Thanks to this chain, I've tried out a myriad of snack products, because they looked exotic and gourmet and bonus, were deep discounted. And most often they turn out to be really really tasty, and then because they're one-off or seasonal things, I never find them again. Anyway, I've been to various ones around the golden state, and they all have produce, dairy, dry goods, household stuff, but also, each store has its unique vibe and thing going for it. Some time ago, I didn't know what Grocery Outlet was. Hearing the name, I thought it was a place selling unwanted produce and items. But a couple of foodie groups I'm in on social media had people posting their findings at these stores. So curiously, I went to check them out. I came across a lot of brand names products with limited editions that I don't see at any other markets. This is especially true for ice cream. Their selections change often, and that keeps me going back to find new things to try. Other things I've scored are Wonderful Pistachios, snacks, cookies, drinks and even coffee, all of which are sometimes less than 1/2 of the price at a market a few minutes away. GO stores are independently owned and don't always carry the same items. At times, they're priced differently, depending on the neighborhood. But I find coming to the stores is almost like a treasure hunt. Sometimes I walk out with nothing. But many times I come home with a few new flavors of ice cream that I haven't seen before, and the whole family is happy. read more

Their steelhead trout looks fresher than the ones at my local supermarket too. Found Abe's muffins the other day: pack of 6 was only $2.50, so a dozen would be $5. Ralphs or Vons will sell a dozen of Abe's for $7!!!!! I only get Abe's when they're at the GO now. Can't believe the high prices at other places. Crappy service like this justifies the future of automated checkout systems. I have been to Grocery Warehouse numerous times, and the ladies at the register and the floor have been great - till today. The young lady working today (Alexendra G) is the perfect example of the type of employee who should not be working the front line in any customer service job - let alone be a cashier. Here's what happened: There are three other shoppers in the store and no lines. As I approach the register, I reach into the basket to unload the first case of alcohol onto the conveyor belt. Before the case is out of the basket, Alexandria abruptly says, "I need your ID." After I unload my basket I hand her my ID, she scans it, gives it back to me, completes the transaction, and hands me a receipt. That sounds like a normal transaction, but it's not. How about saying "Hi" at the beginning of the transaction or saying "Thanks" at the end of it? Alexandra never even once even made eye contact, and the only words she ever muttered were, "I need your ID." Even worse is Alexandria looked and acted like she didn't want to be there, and to be honest, workers like this make for a great case for the future of automated checkout systems because while a computer won't say hi or thank you in person, at least they never act like they don't want to be there. So am I mad at the situation? No. Just sad. It sucks because a lot of time and money is being put into opening businesses like this. Still, it only takes one bad transaction from subpar employees like Alexandria to make others (including myself) consider spending their money elsewhere. read more

Brand new Grocery Outlet location! We wanted to visit as it was new and I had a coupon for signing up for their rewards. We love GO because they have great deals and a good selection of groceries. Each location is locally owned and operated. The store itself is newly remodeled and fully stocked with lots of variety. Brand new carts are super easy to control and clean! The aisles are wide and comfortable. The layout is a bit different than other Grocery Outlets as you are directed to go right instead of left as you enter the store. They have a great produce section, kitchen utensils, food staples, snacks and a big beer & wine section. They had 3 open cashiers that made check out quick and smooth. We saw lots of workers around to help customers with questions and keeping things organized. Parking is plentiful as it has its own parking lot. Recommended! read more

I have been visiting Grocery Outlet since it opened, and am happy that it has joined the neighborhood. The store is always well stocked, neat and well maintained throughout the day, with pleasant and helpful staff that feels like they are happy to be there. They stock many unique items, the  produce is always fresh and the prices are low, plus it gives you a little kick when the cashier hands you your receipt and says, "you saved this amount of dollars" Plenty of parking close to the front doors, the new shopping carts roll nicely. Still a great place to find gems! I'm confused by the negative reviews as of late. I stopped by a few days ago and found a lot of amazing products. Customer service is different in a good way than how it was with the previous owners and manager. There are new faces here, but I didn't find the new staff to be rude at all. Came for the grand opening of grocery outlet and I was absolutely floored. The interior is so clean and nice, the workers were so friendly (dare I say more friendly than Trader Joe's), and there were just so many great deals. Salmon was 50% off, there were family sized cereals for $1.99, and packages of ham for $1. Just wow. I usually find the best deals at Aldi or 99 ranch, but I think this Grocery Outlet might beat them all. There's limited fresh produce, meat, seafood, breads, bulk condiments, and so many rare gems for a good deal. Highly recommend that everyone comes to check them out! I liked the store a lot until I started being followed around by young girls that worked there, they watched me as I shopped and it was quite uncomfortable. It began to get worse , so much so that I mentioned it to my brother that shops there as well, I also told my friend as we went in there one evening to buy some snacks for company coming over . I said to her they are weird in here, they follow me around and watch my every move. As we were shopping we stood in front of the cooler to buy some haggen daz ice creams my brother and I had bought the night before as I went to grab the box one of the girls stepped directly in front of me and with a man's voice she blurted out excuse me sir" reaching in the cooler without getting anything at all and quickly walking away towards the register area. She knew exactly who I was and I am not a male nor do I even resemble a man. I was so shocked they went that far to be rude to me. My friend looked at me and said " I thought you were joking" we went on shopping and as my friend went to the cosmetic area I grabbed a few more thingss and as I turned down the isle I saw that my girlfriend was smelling perfume as one of the other employee females watched her as if she was doing something inappropriate. I said to the worker " she is testing perfume she might want to buy, why are you looking at her like that?" So we headed to the register to check out and while we were shopping I picked out a pair of reading glasses to buy and they are inexpensive in that store I didn't have a cart this time so I pushed them up onto my head and after she got done scanning everything one of the other girls walked up and said to me in a very nasty and insulting way " so are you just going to walk out of here with the glasses on your head?" As soon as she said that I was quite embarrassed that I had forgotten them as I put them down to be scanned while giving a chuckle I said sorry I had forgotten they were there. After I put them down the transaction hadn't even been completed but she refused to continue stating that I was planning on stealing them. I was furious!! There was an abundance of people standing in line behind me as they were making me out to be a thief. . I continued to tell them they are out of line calling me a thief and to have 5 employees from the store standing there berating me in front of all the customers, and they didn't even care to open another register to get the people on there way out instead of waiting and hearing that false accusation they were trying to pin on me. I have plenty of money to purchase the things I want and if I don't I don't get them. I am completely offended by them.. I asked them if they are going to ring up the total for me so I could be on my way but they refused and told me to leave the store. So I left . I went back the next day with my brother to do his shopping and as I walked in and up to the cat food I was immediately approached by a male worker a worker that wasn't even there for the incident that occured the night before. He told me I had to leave the store and I wasn't welcome in that store, I was never told those words, they only said I had to leave. I am completely horrified by this I am embarrassed and I'm also disgusted by the owner letting his employees treat me in that manner when I give that store all of my business. I am calling the better business bureau about this because I don't deserve to be treated like a criminal and people can't judge me because I walk around the store talking and singing to myself. My point of writing this is to let others know that I was very hurt by this treatment and now have to drive from Arcadia to Monrovia/ Duarte to shop at the grocery outlet. Not everyone judges people for being different, I am a kind person and I'm certainly not a thief like I was being treated like by the Grocery Outlet in Arcadia/ Temple City. Shame on you Mr owner. Bought a bag of bagels 6/2/23 and the expiration sticker says to use by 6/12/23. Opened the bag of bagels 6/3/23, the very next day. There was mold on every single bagel. I immediately returned to the store for an exchange or return. The cashier called the owner out to talk to me regarding my exchange/return request. She had a nasty attitude, was rude, aggressive, and dismissive. She actually encouraged me to leave a negative review on yelp. As someone who lives around the corner from this store and would frequent it once a week, they have cemented that ill never be back. Decent selection of cereal however everything I've purchased here seems to be old or it is here for a reason. The staff are always weird and stare. I came in and brought my backpack that had my laptop and a few other expensive things in it and the cash register girl told me to leave it by her feet, I'm never doing this again. Do not trust the staff. The second I left it with her she called her friend over to her and while I was shopping they both were standing over my backpack. I think they went through it or wanted to. We were regulars at the Grocery Outlet Bargain Market in Duarte until this branch opened up. Now we shop exclusively at this location. Like other Grocery Outlet Bargain Markets in the area, it offers competitive pricing (a plus when food prices are soaring), and is a great place to shop if you still feel uncomfortable in crowded spaces. Even though it is never crowded, there is always a steady trickle of regulars here. The staff at this location does something better than other locations, which is that they properly rotate products and keep produce fresh. Although the freezer space is smaller than other stores, we keep coming back here because we can count on getting fresh produce every time we come here. read more
