This HomeGoods location is one of my favorites. It's two levels. Bottom level is HomeGoods and the second level is TJ Maxx. They are located on Almaden Expressway and Blossom Hill Road. There is a huge parking lot in the front of the store. I love the variety they offer at this location. They still had a lot of Valentine's Day items and now have the St. Patrick's day and Easter items. They have a really nice selection of stemware and glasses as well as garden decor. They have really nice towels and bedding too. I found a cute Valentine's Day cat decoration that I love. I also found some nice beach themed hand towels for my powder room. The prices are very good here. You can always find a good deal. The checkout line was long but went by fast. Customer service is always excellent at this store. read more

This location has a lot of inventory and everything I go in, they're scanning items or putting new things out, the racks are always full. However, this is the second time that I have gone in there and dealt with rude employees that are putting things onto the rack or walking in front of me and reaching over my arms to put something onto the rack while I am looking at items. It is incredibly rude and unprofessional, and an invasion of personal space. This time I said something and they acted like I was the rude one. I had the absolute best experience with Samantha at HomeGoods! She was unbelievably kind, patient, and understanding -- truly one of the sweetest people I've ever met in retail. I was a little short on cash and almost spent my lucky $2 bill that I've been saving for years, but Samantha gently stopped me and helped me figure out another way to pay. That level of care and genuine compassion is so rare these days! She didn't just do her job -- she went above and beyond to make sure I left with a smile and my lucky bill still in my wallet. Samantha turned what could've been a stressful moment into something that reminded me there are still amazing, thoughtful people out there. I had such an odd interaction with a store employee here. Two items had different prices on them (but were the same size, brand, and item practically). I asked if the price could be matched to the lower price because there must be a mistake since the others the same size and type were at the lower price as well. The employee speaks to the manager and not only does she not match the item to the lower price, but she says the lower priced item is incorrect and she increases the price of the lower item to the higher item! I was flabbergasted, upset, and they didn't seem to care at all! Then upon reading the rest of the reviews here, it seems this manager just has an agenda to take advantage of customers and just say prices on products are incorrect. It's unbelievable and she should be fired. I am going to place a complaint to chain management through a link that another disappointed yelper found (and also link this page) so they can see the type of customer service this Home Goods store has. read more

I purchased a large yarn-knotted blanket from this HomeGoods that I was really excited about to add to my home. When I got home and took it out of the bag, I noticed a hole in the blanket. I never removed it from the hanger or tampered with it in any way. Hoping to either return or exchange the damaged item, I went back to the store within the return window for a regular priced item. Unfortunately, what followed was incredibly frustrating. It took four employees--including a manager--to determine whether the item could even be considered for a return. They did make it clear that I could not exchange the item without any explanation. The manager examined the blanket, poked at the hole, picked it up and simply told me I should have noticed the damage before buying it. Mind you, I explained multiple times that hole in the yarn became bigger due to the nature of the loose chunky threads coming a part. Still, they refused to process a return or offer a solution. I left feeling dismissed and unfairly blamed, as if they assumed I had damaged the product myself. I'm extremely disappointed, not just with the quality of the product, but with the poor customer service and lack of accountability. This experience has made me rethink shopping at HomeGoods in the future. read more

This location is so much better than the other ones I've been to. Selection is hit or miss at times but the store is always well organized and clean. Staff is non existent if you need help with something but then that's the makeup of these stores. read more

I shop at HomeGoods often and have visited many locations in the Bay Area. I enjoy shopping here because I always find what I'm looking for (and more) at great prices. I usually don't interact much with the store employees since the store is pretty straightforward. However, this time I saw a nice coffee table and a rug and had a few questions. For some reason, the store employee was short with their answers and seemed moody. Not the best shopping experience. read more

Recently stopped in to check out HomeGoods while in the area and have heard this store mentioned in several of my favorite interior designer influencers on YouTube. It's definitely a busy store with lots of shoppers and long lines at check-out. The floors are well stocked with merchandise. Although I ended up not buying anything, quite a few decorating ideas were transpired by shopping here. I'm sure I will return in future to this location or another one in South Bay! read more

I really like HomeGoods and the whole TJ Maxx/Marshalls fambam in general, it's truly like a treasure hunt and a different experience every time you visit. This HomeGoods however is the weakest link in all of the HomeGoods I've been to. Granted I don't have a house of my own but I do like to come, wander, and window shop for the fun of it as I dress my future fantasy home. I like seeing the random assortment of "stuff" for your home. You'd find things here that you wouldn't normally see at other home retail stores. I'd say selection wise the Santa Clara location is MUCH better. It's bigger and carriers a far wider assortment of goodies. The stuff here can get pretty random and they don't always have matching sets for dishes. read more

I love coming to home goods and as a decorator it's amazing what you can find treasure hunting . I regularly have been coming to this home goods for years ,every time I come I spend hundreds or more on some of their bigger ticketed pieces I find here but EVERY time I have come I am almost garunteed to get treated indecently by one of the teenagers that work there no mater how polite or kind or even helpful I am. For years I've always ignored the treatment I received here and didn't say anything hoping next time I shop it gets better because I care about children and would never want one of them to get a warning by complaining to a manger but I think today is the day I finally speak up about what goes on here and stop coming . (I have spoken to a manager once telling them the experience I had and they did not believe me when I told them about the treatment I received . At this location they regard you like your concerns aren't real issues , I actually get more attitude from the manager if I bring up a concern with one of their employees and it doesn't matter how much money you spend , they don't care if they lose business even if your purchase helps bring in revenue for the store keeping them employed) bottom line is they don't care about the customers here and I actually rather pay more money shopping at Z Gallery or somewhere else just so I can get treated like a human being when I walk in ready to spend a couple thousand. I was once nice to an employee by the name of Jesus who was getting me a rug and told him thank you for bringing it down for me by himself and he looked at me and said "just because you're being nice to me doesn't mean I need to be nice to you back I have a right to ignore you and not say anything to you at all if I don't feel like talking to you" I was shocked because all I said was thank you . When I told the manager all she said was "so do you want the rug ?? ..or not ?? because we can put it back" and it was a huge $500 rug I was taking off of their hands . I purchased the rug and told them I'd come back in an hr to get my van to pick it up . Turns out he didn't put my name on it and someone stole it . I thankfully had my receipt and got my money back but when it happened they didn't even seem apologetic they interrogated me like it was my fault for not telling him my name when I actually did . That was an older incident but recently I went to this location last night 2 hrs before they closed and bought a couple items that came out to $300 (paintings , home decor etc) . One of the items was a coffee tray made of chrome and glass and I wanted to have it wrapped so it didn't get scratched or knicked on the way home . I asked the cashier (a teen named Rosalinda) if I could please have it wrapped and she looked at me and said she wasn't going to because she didn't want to . I have never been told that before so I asked if someone else could and she rolled her eyes and snatched it and said she would wrap half of it .... and brought it back to me half wrapped . I asked if I could please have the whole thing wrapped and she said no and walked away from it , she even left the register without finishing the transaction . I told her I could help her because i know sometimes wrapping things can be hard trying to make an effort to be nice and understanding and she slid the tape to me and turned her back to me so I stood their wrapping it by myself doing her job . Her friends were in a circle talking and I heard one of them called me a "stupid bitch" . I looked at them and they all started whispering and laughing watching me wrap it , I looked for a manger but couldn't see one so I ignored it instead of getting upset like i could have , the only person that helped me was a nice girl who saw everything and offered to help her name was Sophia and I'm really grateful she had the maturity to handle the situation and see how her coworkers were acting . I asked Rosalinda for a bag and one of her friends (a redhead who was tall and slender) said "oh she wants a bag for all those little items why doesn't she use her hands to carry them out " and they all started to laugh . Regardless if a customer has 1 item or 10 if they pay for a bag and want a bag they should be given a bag . Sophia ignored them and finished Rosalinda's transaction for her , bagged my things and put my receipt inside . It's upsetting but every time one here all the teens are rude I always see them hiding down isles talking and not wanting to help customers. (I encourage everyone to use the survey number on the bottom of your receipt at TJMAXXFEEDBACK.COM to file a complaint and to go online and call the customer service number.) I just want to warn everyone here to spend your money elsewhere in the meantime . This is probably the worst location for customer service. When your customer service is bad, your business is bad. Today is going to be my last time visiting this location. I spent nearly 2 hours finding the perfect art for my home and finally went to the cash register, to pay for it. I was really in love with what I found and was very excited to bring it home with me. As soon as I took it to the cashie, the lady at the register said it was marked the wrong price and asked her manager. (The artwork I was hoping to buy was marked at $179.00 with the sticker stuck on it). The manager came and said the artwork has the wrong sticker on it and said it should be $240.00 instead. I was baffled and I said well okay, who's fault is that for placing the wrong sticker? I found it as is, and I should get it for the marked sticker price. There was another larger art for the $240.00 price tag but mine was much smaller in size. She also refused to go check and confirm and was starting to peel off the sticker right in front of me and replacing with a new sticker for $240.00 without any hesitation. It was her attitude. I immediately walked away. It was a complete waste of my time. That lady needs better training in handling situations as well as the staff there. I'm sure this is not their store policy. As much as I love home goods this will be my last time returning to this location. I had a similar experience regarding a return at this exact location a while back also. Home goods, If you want repeat customers and if you VALUE your customers then train your staff better... and maybe hire a new manager as well. read more

Be careful with this Tj maxx store..once you purchased something, they will refuse to take it back even though the item is defective....the manager argues argued with me instead of taking the item back..will follow up with corporate on this...qhats the point of saying you have 90 days return policy if they act like ass holes ans they fins every reason in the book not to tske it back...by the way item was purchased few days before it was new and never used ... read more

I do a lot of interior decorating as part of my job. In my role, I go to a Home Goods store probably once every 2 weeks, on average. This is my preferred Home Goods location. 1) Much more selection in most product categories 2) Great customer service - line is longer than all other locations but it moves fast 3) Unique finds that I don't see in other Home Goods locations For rugs, I go to the Home Goods on Brokaw. For wall art, I go to the newly-remodeled Home Goods on Camden. For throw pillows, go to the Home Goods at Mercado. But for anything else, go to this one. I'm really surprised that this location only has 2 stars overall on Yelp. I find their customer service to be fair with returns. I appreciate how they have 7-10 registers open at any given time to keep the line moving. read more

I can't believe the level of disrespect this store has. I was buying an area rug, the rug was hung with the sign fastened to with two of those clear plastic fasteners. When I took it up front they didn't ring it up at the displayed and marked price because it "didn't have a barcode." When they scanned the regular barcode it rang up $20 more. They clearly saw the discount price STUCK TO THE RUG and the manager looked at me like a deer in headlights. I guess my only word of advice is even if the price is marked ON THE ITEM, you can't trust the employees know how to do their job. read more

I'm very disappointed with their customer service in this location. I'm a loyal customer to HomeGoods that I enjoyed Cupertino location way much better than this store. Normally I tried to avoid this place because they didn't really have customer service in general but it's the worst today. I just spent over 2 hours shopping in this location and filled up the cart. It's very dangerous to go through all the traffic and over packed shelves to the bathroom section, so I left my cart at one spot for about 5 minutes to get my very last item before I pay; then it disappeared. I approached to one employee and she was very kind and tried to help. She asked another girl if she would know. Yet, the long wavy blood hair girl told me it's not their responsibility and it was MY FAULT not to tell the cashier to keep the cart on hold. (Literally her words.) Well, the store was super pack with no assistance. Not sure why they REARRANGED their FURNITURES and other merchandises at 1pm Saturday. It was crazy that everyone had a hard time travelled through the store. I already purposely left the cart away from those crazy rearrangement. It's my very first time to learn that I need to "hold a cart" when I needed to grab something quickly after shopping here for many years. She gave me attitude and didn't bother to help. She could pretend to look for a minute rather than raised her voice to me first. She escalated the situation and made me frustrated. It shows that she is lack of experience and has bad customer service. (She looks young maybe that's why) So I just walked out from this store. Basically I wasted 2 hours there with nothing. I will only shop at Cupertino location even though it's further away from now on. Even manager in this store needs serious training. Don't get me wrong I love HomeGoods but not this location. The fact that this at least the fifth time coming here and they have ZERO carts is so unacceptable and uninviting. Ask the workers and they look at you like go to fetch one yourself and literally that's what I was told this last time. "Maybe you can find one out in the parking lot". Well, I guess so bc how else do you want us to shop in your store? Gee seems like you don't. Not that you can even move around with a cart in that small store. This TJ Maxx/Home Goods has quite a bit of merchandise but is lacking a little on the variety. They had tons of mirrors, some great art and all for a reasonable price, but not as many options as the Gilroy location. The aisles are a little narrow, and it was also very crowded on a Saturday. Overall I was able to get what I was looking for and all for a very reasonable price. Their glasswear section was great,as well as the pillows. read more

I have been here once so far, there is Home Goods on first floor and TJ Maxx on second. The Home Goods store is big, well organized and busy. The selection is great and the store looks clean. No comment on customer service because did not buy anything. But was not greeted when came across floor staff, so 4 starts. Would recommend for your next treasure hunt :) read more

their variety of goods & prices are never disappointing! though should you ever need to do a return... be prepared to be scrutinized, questioned, always have to have 2-3 employees to assist in making the decision if your return is legitimate! i completely understand that there are scams out there, though if you purchased a item the day before and you're returning it the next day, you have your receipt and their ticket is still on the item, why make you feel uncomfortable & ques your integrity! due to this i'm very sure when i purchase anything, i truly try to never have to return it! not to mention the length of time you have to waste standing in their long lines they attempt to hide by their shelving units that wrap 4-5 times around! read more

I purchased a fan from the Brokaw location. It ended up being defective and since I was in the area, I wanted to return it here. I ended up going to Linda on register 3. On the receipt I had, said lamp for $24.99. Tag on the fan said $24.99 but the item # was different. I know weird, but I did find the fan in the lamp section so maybe its just a general name they used. I didn't give her a hard time about but she seemed to give me a bit of an attitude. Since it said "lamp" and she threw her hands up an shrugged as if it was my fault and I gave her the wrong receipt. I've never bought a lamp from HomeGoods so I knew that this wasn't my fault, nor was I personally blaming her or anyone else. She did ask me if I bought the fan on the date of the receipt and I said yes. She then said she would ask the manager, and when she came back she asked me if I was okay with store credit. I said yes, I'm going to shop after this anyways. She went to ask the mgr again about giving me store credit. Once again came back and said, you'll need to go to Brokaw to deal with it since thats what the manager said. Okay, I don't care that they didn't take the return here but I didn't appreciate the way Linda was talking to me when I was trying to be polite as possible. No, "sorry but unfortunately since the circumstance is this then you'll have to go to our Brokaw location" I felt like she just wanted to rid of me. My wife and I did do our shopping afterwards and we were checked out by Angel on register 4. Very polite and complimented on the item we were buying. My fiancé and I were shopping in your tj maxx/HomeGoods off of Almaden expresssway in San Jose looking for some things for our new home. We found an area rug hanging about 10ft in the air that was labeled on sale for $129.00, after looking for a sales associate to help us take it down we decided to figure out how to take it down ourselves. After we got it down we walked around for a bit and found a couple other things. A man that worked there named Aaron found us and cut off the sale price because it had a magnet on it. When we went up to pay the rug came up at regular price. We explained what happened, so she proceeded to ask Aaron, he came up and said " we are just going to have to give them the sale price" the cashier then proceeded to ask another sales associate who did not want to give the sale price. After my fiancé told her that we deserved to get the Sale price and we should get it she went to get the manager Socorro. Socorro did not want to hear any of it, she claimed that your registers do not allow her to change prices or mark things down. In the end she refused to help us and give us the price as marked. I have worked and managed in retail for many years now, I would be appalled if my employees gave service like this. I understand that sometimes dishonest customers change prices sometimes, but it would have been impossible for us to do this in this case. All we wanted was the price is was clearly marked at by an employee. It should have been a coaching conversation for the marking employee, and an accommodation for an honest loyal customer. Instead Socorro embarrassed us, And lost two customers and a sale. I cannot explain how disappointed I am with this establishment and their level of disrespect. She spoke to us as if we were stupid and unable to comprehend the mis-pricing, I know the rug was mispriced now, but that is no longer my responsibility as the customer. read more

I was about to purchase a cute pair of sandals only problem is that there were scratches and scuff marks on the tops of each shoe. marks that are unable to clean off so when I asked the manager for discount on these $50 shoes she flat out said no but you can return it within 30 days. why would I buy shoes only to return it within 30 days specially if their marred. I wasn't asking for a huge discount. I know for fact that she could've done that but she took one look at my skin color and instantly said no. very disappointed and I will never shop at that home goods again! read more

The store with the worst customer service ever! The manager Socorro Lamas is loud, rude and clearly does not know how to deal with/respect people. We were at the store for a return of an item that we bought a week back, the item had the tags but not the receipt. We asked for store credit but she was not ready to listen to us, insulted us and refused to follow the store return policy that was publicly displayed on the store wall. She said "She cannot trust customers" . The store policy says they can issue store credit if the receipt is missing. Her employee kept telling her to let her check the item in the system but she threatened her employee to listen to her and not us. She also did not let us speak with anyone else. We complained to their 1-800 customer service team. Hopefully they would take some action. Fortunately for us we were able to return the same item at another home goods location without any issues. Clearly this location needs better staff. read more
