The staff are quick and efficient, they do get a bit busy since it's popular. I loved the food here! They have a good amount of seats to choose from, pretty colorful. This place is a good hole in the wall place for a quick bite to eat. Their prices are very affordable and if you dine in, you won't feel rushed. My friend and I ordered two things. The quesadilla here is Mexican style so you should expect it to be open and less melty but still be a bit toasted. The combo 1 is a great price! The portions here are huge! The taco was quite filling. The torta is crunchy. The chicken is a little dry but still has a little flavor. Al pastor had seasoning though I feel like there could have been more flavor. Such a great restaurant to eat at. I ordered the nachos and they were absolutely the best experience of eating nachos I've had in a VERY long time. They were artes in a way where you get a bite of EVERYTHING whenever you got a chip. I am someone who doesn't eat like crazy so the portion was perfect for me, and I'm grateful cause I hate when places give you an enormous portion and it just end up going to waste. I also want to mention the making service. Im sure it's a family operated business and the girl that attended me was very kind and calm. You can get as much (or as little) diced onions + cilantro, tomatoes + cilantro + onions, limes, guacamole and mild or spicy sauce as you like. - The bar was kept pretty clean and I like that it was covered when not in use to keep away pests. - All toppings seemed pretty fresh. The guacamole sauce was way too watery for my liking though. On a previous visit, I ordered the nachos. Super loaded with toppings. Come here Fridays for $1 taquitos al pastor!!! My boyfriend and I ordered 8 and we were left highly satisfied! And all for just $8! Came with sauces too. There was a lady outside too who was making her own Mexican foods (try out the tlacoyo, it's a different dish you don't see often here in Queens). I feel like my review really deserves 3 stars, but I hate to not give room for improvement. I think I'm confused by this place because it's called "homemade" taqueria, but the tacos don't feel very "homey" and overall they sort of fell flat. The tortillas are store bought and doughy, the chicken taco was literally only chicken mixed with some onion bits and cilantro, extremely dry and unexciting. The mushroom tacos were ok, also just some mushroom and tortilla. It would be great if there was a bit more love in the food! All three items were delicious. I loved how big each one was. I literally can barely breathe because I ate so much, but at-least I'm happy!! This is definitely something you can share with someone if you aren't starving, but I was! The guacamole was also tasty, but you cannot alter it to make it spicy if you like. It's just a standard, not spicy, guac. They do have a sauce bar (I added a picture of it) which is self serve and is awesome because you can add these to your meal at no extra cost! Prices are very reasonable. Good portions, good sauces. That they have lengua tacos gets a thumbs up from me. No frills, not the best tacos you'll ever have but still better-than-just-good tacos. Mainstream varieties, except my beloved lengua. Sandwiches are also fully loaded, one is enough for 2 moderate eaters. Best street taco takeout hole in the wall. They do have seating inside, not the most luxurious but worth it for the delish food. I haven't had one item yet I didn't really enjoy off the menu. After further research, turns out theres a few of these places all over, wish I had known before I left LIC! Anyway, estimated delivery time was like 35-45 minutes and this was at my place in 25 minutes tops. Huge points for that. No delivery fee, and min delivery was $10, winning in all areas. I ordered the Nortena Torta and my god it was amazing. So much flavor and such a good portion for $7.25. I actually only ate half and saved the other half for dinner. The cheese and bacon was perfect, the spice was just right. I was thoroughly impressed with this sandwich. Also, since I am a fry fiend, I ordered french fries and wasn't expecting much from a Mexican joint, but I was wrong. They weren't soggy, they were perfectly crisp and exactly as I like them. Glad to have found this place because now that we are in Maspeth, we will be ordering from here all of the time. Came yesterday craving some nachos and tacos. I ordered a tostada con carne, my friend got an enchilada taco, and a chicken nachos to share. The common issue we had is the blandness of the meats. I didn't even taste a hint of seasoning on my carne. The food has potential to be great if they just season the meats better. My friend said her taco was bland. The nachos were very good. I LOVED the fact that the chips were not greasy at all like how nachos usually are, and also they were sturdy chips that could handle the toppings. I felt it might have needed a sauce. Usually nachos have sour cream and these didn't. Also their pico de gallo really needs work. It's basically just chopped up onions, tomatoes, and cilantro.
