I chose the sides of frijoles (beans) and maduros (sweet plantain). I am a fan of a hint of spice and it should be noted the beans were seasoned with a hint of spiciness. The bill was high enough that it made me double check the math, and I wish that the taco dishes came with some type of side for $20+ a pop, but overall, Ayy Chihuahua is good enough that I'd come back again, at least for another round of drinks.

I recently returned when I was in the mood for enchiladas - they have combo option with beef, chicken and cheese. I ordered them divorced style with both red and green salsa. It comes blanketed with a shredded lettuce salad with tomato, onions and avocado. Rice and beans round out the dish. A couple of other dishes I tasted were the eggs with chorizo and the chimichanga - both were very good. I love their house salsas both a dark red and green one. They bring out tortilla chips with a thick salsa that is tomato-ey sweet. They have a full bar if you are so inclined and the service is very good here.
