I was looking for a new mechanic after going to the same guy for about 13 years. I called Midas, and the rep there didn't even have time to talk to me, let alone take my car as a walk in. So I called Homer's, and even though they were absolutely backed up with work, they still took my car in and completed my oil change in a reasonable amount of time. I had them change the oil on my 2nd car, on a slow day, and it only took 20-30 minutes. Great efficiency and service. The owner answered some questions I had regarding other repairs, and a woman there offered me a ice water, showing me they really care about their customers. Even though it's very hot in the waiting area, you don't have to wait very long, and the crew is very accommodating. This is my favorite auto service place. Yo and his team are exceptionally knowledgeable in cars. My mom's truck engine light came on recently and the truck would not start. Fortunately we were able to get it to Homer's where he and his team started working on it right away. Turns out it wasn't the engine that needed to be replaced but rather some tubes around it. What we thought was going to a 1000+ job ended up being something way less expensive. As a woman I feel that sometimes auto service centers take advantage of us because most of the time we really don't have knowledge about car issues, but I know that will never be the case with Homers. Amazing and friendly service! My husband's Infiniti needed new break pads so I called the Infiniti dealer to get a quote. Even with the "special" the dealer was having, I was quoted $600 to replace all the break pads. I took the car to Homer's and they replaced all the break pads, the front rotors, and changed the oil all for the same price. Even more so, they went above and beyond by transporting myself and my two girls to and from home, cleaning the head lamps, and replacing the wipers for free. I have never experienced such amazing service from any garage. I highly recommend them and will undoubtably be utilizing their services for any future automotive needs. These guys were cool. I came here to get my 3rd brake light replaced and had it removed and ordered for a replacement there and told me how much it cost with service. But my mom, the actual car owner, changed her mind and forced me to make an inconvenient call to cancel the order. I canceled the order, drove back and got my broken brake light back. I was traveling to Southern California to see family over Thanksgiving and heard a loud noise from under my hood and my car lost power and I pulled off at the exit. I looked immediately for a repair shop I could call. I called Homers Auto Service and spoke with one of their tech who answered all of my questions and also gave me a number to a great tow service that would bring in at a great cost. To say the least they had my car up and running in no time and we were able to get to our family onetime for Thanksgiving. My mechanic previously was adjacent to my job in San Gabriel. I have been without a good one since leaving there in 2009. I responded to an oil change coupon (great deal! BTW) and then found myself in a fender bender on the 210 Fwy...in my state of shock I had my truck towed here. This crew was awesome. I am not a person of means & I told them to please just do what was necessary. they were great about everything. at a very stressful time they were supportive and helpful. They stayed open late as I transitioned between rental vehicle etc...They even checked out my NEW truck purchase after I made the sad decision to sell my old one. This place is really great! As a woman, it is often hard to find a honest mechanic - well, I finally found one! I am very pleased with the services provided by Homer's. I got a power steering pump and belt replaced, as well as an oil change. The price was very reasonable, and they didn't try to sell me unnecessary services, like most shops do. The service was prompt - I dropped my car off in the early morning, and had it back by late afternoon! I am so happy to have found a mechanic that I feel comfortable going to. Homer's is hands down the best shop I've ever taken a car to. Their pricing is fair, they are accommodating with schedules, and they do what the best businesses do: deliver what they promise! I brought my car in for body work and was told it would take three days - it did. I was quoted a price to fix it- my bill was exactly what I was expecting. They had to do some paint work and I swear the guy fixed any other little scratches/marks on my car because it looks brand new again. Steve and Yo are best! I called every auto shop nearby even the dealership and they all turned me down except Homer's! I called and Craig picked up and told me that he can take a look at my car if he can fix the A/C, if not, I would have to go back. This is excellent customer service! Instead of turning me down flat out because it's a Saturday and they're all booked up, he offered to take a look if it can be a quick fix. Craig gave me HOPE! I went in on Saturday because the AC on my car had been down for two weeks and I knew this current heat wave was coming. I was expecting this to be a fairly significant repair but within 20 minutes Homer's was on the phone telling me they had taken care of the problem and that it was in fact pretty minor. I stumbled upon Homer's Auto Repair with a coupon for an oil change on the back of my receipt from Pavillions. And I am glad I did!!! I had just moved into town and didn't know anyone or anywhere to get my car repaired. These guys are top notch! Shortly after my oil change, my check engine light came on so I stopped by to ask them what they thought. Even though they were busy on other things, they were kind enough to take a look at my car....right then and there...and give me a diagnosis within 10 minutes! It turned out to not be a huge repair, but a repair nonetheless, which I was not prepared for. With that, we set up and appointment to do the repair. While they were at it they found a few other items that needed attention. They repaired those as well! Great place, great guys, great service, and great prices! I dropped in this afternoon, after realizing I had over-charged my AC with that do it yourself can. They got all over it, and had it vacuumed and re-charged in less than an hour. If you look at the date on this review, you'll recall how stinkin' hot it was and this day was the worst. I am incredibly disappointed by the service I received at Homer's in November when my 2009 VW Beetle had an oil leak. I was overcharged and the leak was not fixed. Rusty's German Automotive came to the rescue and fixed the leak. Previous visits to Homer's had been fine, but after this experience, I will not be going back. read more
