Its been awhile since i have been here but wanted to update my review. Looking at my previous pictures id say portion size (at least on fries-which sre mow crinkle cut) has gone down. In my newest picture I had started in on the fish but had not eaten a fry yet lol. I almost forgot to take a picture because it was delicious. I didn't quite finish all my fries but I ate all of the fish and all of the coleslaw. We ordered a side of onion rings which we also did a good job of finishing. This is a really cute diner with an old time atmosphere. We enjoyed it a lot and will definitely come again.

Overdue for an update, good staff. Food is out quick and everything we ordered was great. I like to get a side of onion rings with my california benny. Depending on when you go on the weekend can be an hour wait to get in. Would recommend to anyone in the area or going through the area, table spaces are very limited for parties great than 4, there are only two tables that can seat 4 or more by the bathroom.

My wife and I went here for breakfast while on a weekend college visit for our oldest daughter. We were welcomed right away and were able to sit at the bar top directly across from the entrance. The place is pretty small - as it should be for a local hometown diner. It was well kept and clean, and everyone in there seemed comfortable. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We got drinks very soon after sitting down, and our food came out very fast as well. My wife got the Sugar Cookie French Toast (on special), while I got the Country Chicken Benedict. Both were very good and neither one of us could finish our plates. The pricing was very reasonable, and we were in and out of there in under 45 minutes. We weren't rushed either, it was just very efficient. We would welcome a visit back there for breakfast should we venture back up to the area! A great experience for sure.

When I go to a diner, I go there for the diner experience. I'm not expecting gourmet dining, elegant surroundings, or finely dressed servers.  I expect good food, cleanliness, comfortable seating, and efficient service. And that's precisely what you'll find at Hometown Diner.  We stopped here recently for lunch. My better half ordered a BLT wrap with sweet potato fries. I had a burger with sauteed onions and cheese. Both of us were very happy with our order. The servers were amiable and attentive to our needs. It's an excellent choice if you're looking for a classic diner in the Rindge area.

Home made corned beef hash- half eaten because it was INCREDIBLE.

Definitely will be making the trip NW to come back here asap. The atmosphere was unbeatable, the server was a delight, the food was so fresh and of super high quality, and it was cooked and served exactly as it should have been. Their menu is traditional, and boasts some funky options as well. This is an awesome spot. My only small critiques would the following- 1. It's drafty- (it's a diner on a cold day- easily understandable) 2. They can not accommodate some requests (busy place, limited time, small footprint, prep has been done- all good reasons) and 3. The pancakes are basic. Good, but didn't blow me away. Highlights from our trip- Corned Beef Hash (& anything that contains corned beef) Reuben *not pictured below* Homefries (cut seasoned and cooked on the flat top PERFECTLY) Breakfast sausage Links All in all WELL worth a stop.

Southern Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict

I came about a year ago to have breakfast while I was in the area. I had what I think was called the southern fried chicken eggs benedict?? I still think about this meal every couple of weeks. Amazing. I'm not sure if this is still on the menu since it's been a year but I really hope so.

Typical Silk City Diner with standard counter and booth seating with additional table seating in the rear. Very limited but adequate breakfast and lunch menu which ensures your orders will leave the kitchen in record time. Excellent service, good prices and very good food. I didn't order from the breakfast menu but saw several items pass the table; it all appeared to be very creditable New England breakfast fare. Would recommend this breakfast and lunch stop if you find yourself in the area. You can be in, out and on your way in a flash, even if it is very busy.

Classic dinner setting. Dining room behind the counter.

The inside did look very nice. The seating inside is a bit to close for us. As we were going to leave more people came and they decided to open the outside. Service was fast and friendly. The wife and I both ordered from the breakfast menu. The portions were good and the food tasted great. I am not positive if it is true but I thought I heard the server say they switched to Lunch at 11AM. I hope not as the wife and I like to eat breakfast all day long. We were seated at the one metal table. Next time we will request a picnic table. The chairs were king of high and my feet could not touch the ground. There was a small bar at the bottom of the chair you could rest your feet on. There also was no umbrella. Overall things were great and we will return.

Generally no complaints big place is always packed on the weekends for both seating and parking outside, likely a half hour wait depending on when you go. Food is good and comes out fast. Kind of a high school cafeteria ambience feel with a section of looks like cracker barrel by the entrance.

Truthfully, but our experience was terrible and will not come back. Go to the hungry hen instead .
