I Have eaten here twice and I thought is was a good breakfast for the money. When I was there they were not busy.

Just went there to grab take out ! Never again ! i was Looking fir a late breakfast - no breakfast it was 1240. So I grabbed a muffin and a couple waters- my wife went up to order or take out. I followed her and ordered my food. came back to the table where was half way thru with my muffin. this grumpy lady pulled the 2 pieces of paper ( table mats ) and 2 rolled up silverware, away while I was eating. My wife ordered soup, to eat while we wait for our take out. The grumpy lady then came up and told the other young lady to make sure to add a muffin and 2 waters - in very in comfortable way. we grabbed another set of paper mats and napkin silverware which seemed to piss off the the grumpy lady. So when I paid I left no tip !! She brought the signed copy of the check and placed it with a thud in front of me ??? No pen !!! When she came back to pick up the check she nodded to the other waitress as to say no tip !!! Correct ! Worst service experience I have had in years ! Education -can't sign anything with my finger - if you want to solicit tips be smart enough to help your self ! Dont be rude! never go there again ! But I threw the food away and went to sunoco ! Better pizza than to deal with that grumpy lady! Happy Holidays ! Just wasted 1 hour of my vacation ! Could have been worse ! Don't waste your money ! I did. read more

We've been going to Common Place Eatery for years and we loved it. Our goto's were the great Patty Melt for me and the Corned Beef Reuben for my wife. We stopped in a couple of weeks ago around 12:20 and were seated, waited for several minutes and no one came by. It appeared there was only one waitress on duty and the place was filled. Would could tell it wasn't going to go well and finally gave up and left. Tried again today at 11:40, the place was filled and once again only one waitress on duty. People sitting at their tables did not look happy as if they had been waiting for a long time so we left again. Hopefully they are only having staffing issues that will be resolved at some point and we can return to one of our favorite spots. read more

It's food you can make at home. And honestly, you could make it better at home. Everyone there was grumpy. We did get there 30 minutes before closing. And they were already turning away customers. I ordered French toast with raspberries and whipped cream and they gave me actual FROZEN raspberries. They were not thawed and put in sugar like normal people. They gave me frozen berries on top of my Lukewarm French toast! And the French toast was bland. My cousin ordered the Irish Benedict and the corn beef hash was chewy like beef jerky. And our potatoes were cold. It's like they were sitting in a bucket outback, and they didn't even reheat it for us. I had to go up to the counter to get my receipt so we could leave because waitors kept walking by us. The only thing that was good was my hot chocolate, and that was most likely a packet of Swiss mix. it's like sitting in grandmothers dining room except not as special or inviting.the prices aren't even worth what they give you! read more

We had lunch here today. We all had fish n chips. It came with Cole slaw. We also ordered a large order of onion rings to go with it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! It is very clean and very cozy. It's not a huge place but the tables are set up so that you don't feel overcrowded. The decor is really nice and the chairs are super comfy. Our waitress, Lana, was extremely friendly and very helpful. Our haddock was cooked perfectly and the seasoning on the fries was really good. They informed us that the fish is fresh and it was! The coleslaw was also very good. I don't know if they make their own tartar sauce or not but it was very yummy. My dad and I love to dip our fries in tartar sauce. The onion rings with Crispy and oh so good. The prices here are very reasonable. I saw someone and another table eating chicken tenders and they looked really good so I might try that next time. I have had take-out lunch on two occasions. I think it is solid. I like the open kitchen and the ability to see their chef throw things together. I had a Turkey Reuben on the one occasion, a salad with fried chicken on the other. Sandwich better than the salad - but the salad was still yummy. This restaurant is a cute little New England eatery located in a small New Hampshire town. This is the second time that we ate here. Due to the distance from our home, we only come here once a year or so. There is extremely generous parking out back in a crushed stone parking lot. You can also park out front on the asphalt road. Both time we ate here a Model T was parked out front. The restaurant itself is in an old building that has been updated but still retains its New England charm. Service is good and friendly. This restaurant seems to attract a significant number of locals and most are 'regulars.' Breakfast was good. I had the poached eggs with home made corned beef. My wife had a scramble with corned beef. You can choose from a number of types of toast, including toast made with locally made sunflower bread. I was excited to see homemade Corned Beef Hash offered, as so often at breakfast joints it is that dreadful canned concoction. Regrettably, there was just the mere suggestion of the meat in this hash. Seriously, it was about 5 little chunks to add the flavor perhaps of the protein; that's it. Now I don't expect big slabs, but- it was stingy. Further, the waitress asked if I wanted "the home-fries" which was odd, since it's hash and it's described on the menu as being served with toast. I mistakenly thought she meant the corned beef with the potatoes in it, to make a true "hash", so answered Yes. That apparently meant I was given even less a portion of the hash, and half the plate was *more* plain potatoes. Another problem was that I ordered my eggs prepared "over Medium", and they came Easy- and ran all over the hash. The yolk should be gel like; wet but not a gush of yolk. This is a common problem with ordering fried eggs to order, but it's worth mentioning. Good points are the coffee refills were constant and the waitstaff are as friendly as can be. She also offered lemon with our waters, which is always a nice welcome gesture. read more

Wife and I came for breakfast while on vacation at Seven Maples Campground. The restaurant is clean, comfortable with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I had Ranchos Huevos, a generous portion of chili and cheese in a quesadilla topped with two poached eggs. Salsa and sour cream on the side. Served with a side of home fries. My wife had a short stack with a side of bacon. Wife is a maple syrup snob, side was reasonable price, but for the teaspoon she uses I would have tipped the waitress more. Every visit home to New Hampshire has a minimum of 3 common place eatery visits. I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 15 years and love it. Very simple classic food done well. I have my staple the chicken fingers with Jeff's amazing homemade honey mustard sauce every visit. The few times I have ventured off to club sandwiches, burgers, or the daily special I have been very happy (although I always come back to the chicken fingers). Arrived at 1110 and couldn't get breakfast. It is listed as a breakfast and brunch place but they stop serving breakfast at 11. But yet they can make french toast for a sandwich. If I was the owner I would accommodate my guest. No reason they couldn't have served us breakfast on a Holiday. The waitress never even offered to ask the cook. We will never be back. Too bad was looking forward to trying it based on the good reviews. read more

I must say that I have only had breakfast here - but do try to get in whenever back in the area visiting family - usually several times per visit. This is a great, casual family run restaurant that is usually full of locals and a very friendly staff. The menu has lots of options and they are willing to do what it takes to meet your requests. The food is very good - my favorite is the breakfast sandwich! Overall, much better than some of the other local eateries. Highly recommended!! read more

Good comfort food. This is our family's favorite place in the Monadnock Region. We have gone there with the kids for breakfast and lunch many times. It's always good and priced very reasonably. It may not sound like a major distinguishing characteristic, but the eggs, grilled homefries, and turtle-pancakes are always "clean". It's apparent that the owner/cook maintains an immaculate grill. Anyone that has ever worked in a restaurant appreciates how that kind of attention to detail carries forward to how the kitchen is maintained overall. I like the grilled chicken sandwich for lunch. The ambiance is quaint and comfortable. No frills. Just very clean, inviting, and full of authentic New England charm. Good WiFi signal too for sneaking a peek at emails or writing stellar Yelp reviews while the kids color. They brought back dinner on Thursday and Friday night too. We used to like the homemade soups and hearty American comfort food. We're looking forward to trying the dinner soon. Our family loves this place and I bet yours will too. read more
