I enjoy the fact this place has roof over the outside so you can be outside for here and not have sun beat down on you while you eat. The girls behind the counter were very nice and though to make sure my order was just right, which is great service itself. Plus one of few ice cream that is not cash only, a rarity among ice cream stands. Settled on a caramel pretzel sundae with vanilla ice cream, which I wish I realized that had cannoli flavor and am damn should got that for this sundae. Still vanilla was creamy and plenty of mini pretzel and a lot of caramel sauce, can't stress enough they were not cheap on that, plus a generous amount of whipped cream on top. Only thing I noticed is bit pricey on the menu, but other then that, I got awesome sundae, far better then something a local Stewart's can make up and less the wait as well read more

It's an okay ice cream spot. Not bad, not incredible. If you're in the area and looking for a scoop, this will check the box. 3/5 if just rating the ice cream. However, I have to bump it down to 2/5 when accounting for service. I don't know what the hiring process is, but somehow the young women working the window always seem to be in a bad mood. It's like you are bothering them by ordering something. That's not just a one off experience either - my wife and I have both noticed this almost every time. Imagine someone rolling their eyes without actually doing so and you get the idea. I usually wouldn't care about the service part, but that's been so consistent I have to factor it in. Hopefully a new year means some new hires, and I can update this with some improved stats. read more

Really surprised by this place. They had tons of flavor of ice cream and frozen yogurt. It looks like they also serve other items like burgers, but review is for ice cream. I had the salted carmel truffle in a waffle cone.....mmmmmmmm. It had great taste and was just what I wanted. There was a sign that said they were closing in a few days (September 24) and reopening in April. Guess it is not popular in fall and winter. read more

The staff never wrote down our order, a second person walked up to take our order a second time. Only half our party received their order, the rest of us just sat there while the staff laughed at us. I'm not joking. I asked for a refund and was harassed and assaulted by other patrons who were friends of the staff. One even threw a bottle at my vehicle! Don't ever go there. Worst place to eat in all of Pine Bush. It's an abomination of the town. Don't take your young children here, it'll scare them away. read more

For an ice cream place in Pine Bush? This is the place to go!! (they serve Perry's ice cream brand, plenty of flavors) I always get a small cone of hard ice cream ($3). They give you a pretty nice size scoop. I used to go to the other place in Pine Bush (I hate to talk bad about other places, sorry!) but I was always disappointed of how little ice cream they would give me. So if you are looking for more ice cream for your money, this is the place. I love that they have 24 flavor of soft serve (they put the regular soft serve with flavoring in a machine to make it) and I have tried a few... banana flavor? Yes, please!! Decently priced ice cream / dessert / snack stand. Nothing fancy, worth considering in an emergency, but be wary that it seems to be entirely staffed by sullen teenage girls. We went one evening when it was practically empty and had "I CAN HELP THE NEXT PERSON" shouted at us THREE TIMES while we were quite obviously still deciding what to order, so we kind of hurriedly ordered some random things that we didn't really want. I *hate* being rushed like that. It's such a small thing but it can really make the experience a lot less enjoyable. Be nicer to your customers and you'll get an extra star. read more

I have been seriously slacking on reviews lately so I'm going to jump head first into this one. Wagner's, you complete me in the summer time! I love your vast selection of soft serve flavors, the numerous sundae offerings, the hot meal selection and most of all; I LOVE that you accept cards. (You're the only place in the area that does) There is ample clean, covered seating with fans, there's a water bowl for pets too! The staff are super sweet and friendly. Let me start by saying I love their ice cream! We get their stuff often however I feel like they have gotten skimpy with their portions! When I have gotten a thing of fries which are like 5 dollars, it's such a small amount! Half the time they forget my sauces! When I have gotten chicken fingers sometimes I get 2 small pieces and other times I get 3 or 4! I definitely think this summer has been much worse then previous ones! Consistency is key. read more

Stopped by after a hike and I was completely surprised that the whole place was empty, thankfully so because we would have held up the line while we were deciding what we wanted! There seemed like a ton of options and flavors. We settled down with coconut soft serve, the salted presets caramel sundae and fried oreos. I've been into anything coconut this summer and the soft serve hit the spot, light and refreshing. The sundae was heavier and we found it too sweet for our liking. The oreos were perfectly fried! I loved the doughy, yet crunchy batter. They were probably the best I have ever had. Thumbs up for Wagners! read more

Cutest little ice cream place. Being from north jersey, close to NYC we don't usually see cute ice cream places like this. (Unless it's DQ). Love that they have food as well and a variety of ice creams. Everything seemed pretty clean, and the girls working although teenagers were pretty good. My favorite part was that they're pet friendly and even keep a bowl out with water for dogs. How cute! read more

So on Thursday evening I stop by hometown ice cream and grill. looking to pick up something to bring home to the family. I have a small list of 4 items. It's 8 pm ish. As I pull in there's a small line. 3 guests. One window open. However there are 5 young woman inside the store. 1 working the window serving customers my guess is she's doing a fine job. However the additional 4 folks on payroll are not doing much. Really doing nothing except talking to another young lady at an indoor counter. I would think that lady at the counter was placing quite the order with 4 servers helping her. I however needed to wait if i wanted to spend my 25.00 dollars. And wait I did. After 9 minutes of watching the staff do nothing I had to leave and spend my money in Walden on my way home. Folks don't have to shop at your location. We can go anyplace we want. I'll never go back to that mismanaged location. Good Luck! read more

We love the ice cream unfortunately every time we try to get ice cream (the soft serve flavors) the machine is closed we have tried several times in the evening and every time the same answer. The last time we went there and actually ordered the soft serve mint when the machine was open... the order was screwed up and the gave us hard mint chip... by the time my daughter got it back to the car and told me the order was wrong, by the time we walked back up the machine was getting taken apart for cleaning. No offer to fix the order of give a refund... just basically "oh well". Last year things we complete different and this wouldn't of been accepted. Unfortunately we are going to find a new place to go, since every time we can't get the order desired. We can get regular chocolate and vanilla or twist down the road. read more

My family and I have been to Wagner's a few times and we love it! The ice cream is delicious - they have so many different flavors of hard and soft serve ice cream, frozen yogurt and Italian ice. I love that they offer so many different sundaes and combinations but if you don't see what you want, they are happy to create it for you! You can also get your ice cream served over a fresh homemade brownie or cookie...mmmm! My family and I also enjoy the food - the burgers and potato salad are so yummy! The establishment itself is perfect for families. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor picnic tables are covered under a pavilion so we can be out of the sun if we want. There is plenty of room for my 1 year old to explore and my husband loves to be able to catch a glimpse of the score of a baseball game on the two outdoor TVs while we eat. As for the staff, I have never had any problems with them. The girls are friendly and accommodating. They are eager to help, but are patient when I tell them that I need a little while to decide (which I always do). Wagner's is a fantastic place to enjoy great food and ice cream with your family and friends. I absolutely recommend it!! read more
