Basic diner fare, nothing more and nothing less. Came here on a whim. Decided to give their breakfast a shot. It's designed to be an 1980s sit down restaurant, which is okay for the area. I went in and asked the server what's good. Was immediately steered to the most expensive items on the menu. Instead opted for a single over medium egg and a piece of French toast. Food came out quickly, but it was very haphazard. The French toast was white bread barely soaked in egg mixture and cinnamon hastily dashed on the plate. I came in with low expectations, and they met them in spades. At least the egg was in properly cooked. Price was 6 bucks, which was okay. If the quality was better then it would have been worth the money. Not a fan, it's a place to eat for the area. Don't expect much

Never had anything at Hometown that I did not like. The menu is quite varied for breakfast, lunch or dinner and they have liquor too. Prices are fair and servings ample. Located in a plaza, the parking is very good. Atmosphere is homey and comfortable and the staff is attentive and friendly. Try it, I think you will like it.

Whole belly clams They were yummy and reasonably priced

They have Great homemade meals. Also the seafood is fresh and everything. They also have a great breakfast me

I have only ate there for breakfast. Food was good, portions were large and the cost was low.

Recently changed hands. Place was out of control. New owner has no idea what she is doing. Miss Kathy already. We will not be back.

Jacob brought over my drink order and a menu. Lots of good options, and I ended up ordering a Bond burger w crispy fries. The burger was perfectly cooked, and the brioche bun held together well. Jacob mentioned they get their meat from Arnold's, which has a rep of being one of the best, if not THE best meat purveyors in the region. Burger had a nice charbroiled flavor. The fries... I don't know how to describe them except to say in my top 2 all-time. Crunchy on the outside, like they were coated (with what?, not sure). If you read my Yelp profile, you'd know that I believe ketchup is a vegetable. I have been known to put ketchup on my ketchup. Not with these fries. I ate them naked (the fries, not me thankfully). One quibble. I thought the bottle of Stella's, at $6.50, was a bit high. Next time, and their will be a next time (Jacob mentioned prime rib on Thursdays), I'll stick to a draft beer. All-in-all, one of the best burgers and some of the best fries I've ever had. And the music was at a good decibel level (and included really good songs). Definitely recommend. 5 stars!

It's a homey spot, lots of seating and the staff was very friendly. I opted for the Irish Benedict, so I can try their hash and their eggs. Food came quickly, I took my pics then took my bites. The eggs were poached well, hollandaise is creamy and rich, English muffins toasted and buttered, and the hash was a little gummy and mushy. Whatever they mixed with it made the texture not so great. For 18 bucks, it was mostly executed right but stumbled on the one element that increased the price point. As an eggs Benedict, it was good but pricy for what you get. For the area, it's a solid diner spot. It's good, but just a little high for the quality.

Sophie, our waitress, greeted and seated us. BTW, the joint was jumping at 9:40. Angelina's makes their own CBH, which is always a plus. So, I opted for a CBH omelet w rye toast and home fries. Chuckles had a western omelet; Manic Mike two eggs over w ham steak, potatoes, and rye; finally, my fried Crash Test Dummy Ron had a Belgian waffle, real(!) maple syrup, blueberries, and a side of sausage links (4). Food came quickly considering the crowd. Sophie kept us over caffeinated while we waited. The interested thing about the omelets is that the cook adds CBH (or western ingredients, in Chuckles' case) to the top, in addition to the inside. My omelet was excellent. My only quibble - the toast was more like warm bread than toast. Polling the crowd produced an average of 4 stars, coincidentally my rating. I am definitely a fan.

The carefully curated menu has all the classic breakfast and lunch staples - omelets, eggs, pancakes, etc, and for later in the day, soups, salad, sandwiches, pork chops, NY steak and even fried chicken! I ordered a breakfast sandwich with eggs over easy, and the bacon on the side, and everything arrived perfect and hot. Tender, crunchy, gooey deliciousness with the sandwich and bacon! The home fries were also tender on the inside with a delicate crust. Add salt if needed for that. I really liked how clean everything was here, and it was apparent that the owners take good care of their customers and establishment. Kudos! I'll definitely look to come back here next time I'm near!

However, our party of four waited 50 minutes for our breakfast. Even coffee took quite a while to arrive. A canned coke was delivered 20 minutes after ordering. Three out of the four entrees were served after waiting for 50 minutes, the other one took an additional 5 minutes and we waited for another 5 minutes to receive the side. The food was mostly good - Omelet was chock full of meat and was delicious. Bacon was really good. Burger was average and fried chicken was kind of meh - crispy, but very dry. We did enjoy the live acoustic music. It was great to hear live music in the morning since most places only have it at night. However, the excessive wait for food really overshadowed the rest of our visit. Oh well.....
