Hometown pizza is in my hometown of Tonopah. They have the best pizza in town and the breadsticks are ok. The service is great and there's so much space inside of there you can have a great conversation with somebody. They also have cinnamon bread sticks, although their normal breadsticks are rather lackluster, these ones are awesome! read more

Tonapah is struggling, like most small places. I make the town a frequent getaway spot and try to support the local business. I figured a pizza would carry me through the weekend. I ordered a large mucker and a trip to the salad bar. The business was spotless , from the floors to the tables. The staff was super polite as well. I was extremely impressed with the salad bar, everything was crisp, fresh, and the dressing wasn't watered down - with a great selection as well. The pizza came out quickly, hot and with a generous amount of toppings, that were fresh and not overcooked(veggies)..I definitely recommend this parlor when in town. Sitting here with my new wife (we just got married yesterday in Vegas). This place is awesome, especially for being in such a small town. Great pizza. Think Dominos on steroids! Some friends and I are in town on a paranormal hot spot adventure trip. It was great. Be sure the check out the hot springs just outside of tonopah. Anyway, we were looking for some food and hometown is the only pizza spot in tonopah as far as we can tell. We didn't expect anything incredible as tonopah is a small town and pretty secluded. But... it was AMAZING. I'm gluten free and I absolutely did not expect them to have GF crust but they did, and cauliflower as well. They had tons of great topping options. I'm a fan of a classic pep pizza so that's what I got. But let me tell you, it was just what the doctor ordered. The GF crust was soft and flavorful, the cheese was delicious and thick, peps were flavorful and abundant. Seriously so good. I would be frequenting if they were in -my- hometown. The all you can eat salad bar and pizza lunch special is a good deal. You can't beat the price at $8.99 for adults and $4.99 for kids and that includes your drink! About the food...this little place had a great salad bar with lots of fresh fixings and a clean presentation. They had several pizzas on the buffet and really good breadsticks. It definitely hit the spot! Eating at Hometown beat stopping at the gas station for Burger King and got us back on the road quickly. We always eat at the BBQ place when in Tonopah but we got a tip by a local to try this place for great pizza when we were in town last week. The ONLY reason this isn't a 5 star review is I experienced what some others have said. The girl behind the counter looked at me like I had 6 eyes when I went to the counter to order. She wasnt friendly at all and when I went back to toss a generous tip in the jar on the counter (over 20%) she just blank stared at me like I just shot her dog Bizzare but whatever. The good? Lots of room, all you can drink drinks and the pizza is fantastic. I give rural businesses a LOT of leniency because of location its harder to get qualified help, supplies and food stuff. This place could easily compete with the best pizza places in Las Vegas. I know the owner reads and replies to reviews, so owner...get someone behind the register that knows how to smile and be personable. That's all you have to do...everything else is spot on. read more

We ate here on a recent trip, and would eat here again if we were ever back in the area. The reason for my rating is my husbands calzone was cold when it came out. I ordered a small one topping pizza and a order of cheese bread, pizza was great and they even went light on the sauce like I requested, skip the cheese bread it's just not really that good. The staff was nice, just a group of kids. On another note, they could really use a system to know what food goes to what table, best I could gather they just tried to remember who ordered what and wandered around the dining area until they happened to find the right table :) not a big deal but would easy to be more efficient. I go to this pizza place for lunch buffet today around 1pm. Use the bathroom first. Come out - ask about the buffet and am told they don't have it. Briefly looking at the menu and deciding I don't want just pizza right now but might come back later for dinner, I walk out and say thanks. The cashier/waitress (dark hair in a pony and had her young daughter hang out with her behind the counter) snarks "thanks for using the restroom!" I don't say a word and walk out. Order pizza for dinner last night for the first time since the coronavirus shut everything down! Oh, it was sooooo good! We had a medium Alfredo Chicken, a medium, gluten free Mucker Special and their peach or mango smoothie....we had it mixed! The pizza was still nice and hot and sooo good!
