Minestrone soup and a small garden salad without olives cheese or dressing.
    Andrew G.

My son and I came in on a Sunday. It wasn't very busy and took them a few minutes to seat us. I got minestrone and a small garden salad without cheese olives or dressing. The salad was bigger than I expected it was crisp and cold. A little wet but I enjoyed it. The minestrone was good. It was probably the highlight of the meal for me. My son got a kid cheese pizza which was a pretty big portion for a little guy. I ended up eating one slice of it. It was pretty cheesy and a bit doughy but he enjoyed it. All in all I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't stand out but it was a perfectly fine dining experience.

    Small pizza. Pepperoni and Jalapeno

We were passing through Bishop and we were craving Italian. We saw the couple of options of The Upper Crust and the Pizza factory. Glad we went to the Upper Crust! Pizza was delicious, crust was light. My wife had the special and loved the salad and spinach lasagna. Tasted like a grandmother trattoria made the food. Place is great for couples and families! Do not be fooled by the name of pizza! They offer entire Italian cuisine.

The Wave Pizza and I added pepperoni, it was SO Good! I'll definitely stop here again on my road trip!

The service was great, and the food tasted amazing! I'll definitely be back! Got a pitcher of beer for under 20!

Been here twice in the last 2 months and I can not complain. The staff was friendly and the food was great. We ordered a garden salad, antipasta salad, garlic bread and wings. The place is nice for families and big groups. Only suggestion is add a little more toppings to the pizza. Overall great place and we will be coming back for a 3rd time

It's golden hour and the winter sun is pouring over the peaks of the Eastern Sierras through the large windows onto our table. It's pizza time!! We've been coming to Upper Crust for years and I'm happy to say that the food is as good now as it was before the pandemic. Do yourself a favor and order the dry wings (no sauce) and a salad to get your meal headed in the right direction. The Diablo Pizza is probably my favorite pizza at any restaurant. The shrimp, feta, herbs and spicy kick make this pizza extremely unique and scrumptious! The Sierra wave, loaded with artichoke and other briny veg is also one of our all time favorites. Honestly, it doesn't matter which pizza you order, because when the chef tosses that heavenly dough up in the air, you will realize that upper crust pizza is all about the perfect fluffy, crispy, and flavorful pie no matter how you like to dress it up.

Hubby and I stopped in for a late lunch on our journey home after a quick trip to Disneyland the day prior. It's a long drive, so Bishop is about halfway to home. We don't like traveling with leftovers, so we often share a meal. Yesterday was the Bluey Armstrong burger with a side of the garlic Parmesan fries. The burger was great! Juicy, cooked to perfection, and so flavorful. But the fries? For the love of all that's good those fries sent me on a trip straight to heaven. I wouldn't say I'm a fry snob, but I do know what I like, and these were possibly the best garlic parm fries I've ever had. So much so that I told my hubby I'd recommend going on a 6 hour girls' trip just for the fries. (My gal pals and I do weird trips for stuff like this.) Long story short(ish) stop here for food. You will be saying "get in my belly" with the only regret that it isn't closer to your home. Unless you live in Bisho, in which case you are a lucky person.

Aaron Schat's Roadhouse came up as the best suggestion and it did not disappoint! It was only 11am but we started with 2 pints of Coor's lol. Then we ordered 2 Shot Gun burgers and beer battered fries. They were so delicious! The burger patty was freshly made and the bun was a cheese type bun from their bakery. The fries were so crispy. 1 basket of fries would have been enough to share but we ordered 2 not knowing and force fed ourselves to finish it all lol. We will definitely add this to our bishop stop on future trips!

Unfortunately, ever since the ownership changed, the experience has gone downhill. The customer service is consistently rude and unwelcoming. It feels like staff are irritated just having to take your order. The food is now overpriced for the quality you get, which is a big change from how it used to be. I stopped going for about a year, but recently decided to give it another chance. I called in an order for myself and my disabled grandfather, who only has one arm. I politely asked multiple times if they could please cut the steak for him and even explained why. They clearly seemed annoyed by the request. When I picked up the food, everything looked rushed and just thrown into the boxes--and the steak was not cut. The rest of the meal was just as disappointing. The taquitos were plain with only cheese on top--no sides like guacamole or sour cream, especially disappointing for the price. The loaded potato wasn't even "loaded," just a plain potato. Between the poor service, lack of care, and declining food quality, this place is nothing like it used to be. It's honestly sad to see something that used to feel welcoming and enjoyable turn into somewhere I now dread going. I wouldn't recommend stopping here anymore. There are better places in town that actually value their customers.

The strawberry and cream waffle was also delicious and not too sweet ! it tasted more natural versus artificially sweetened. Our server, Josh, was very tentative and had recommended the strawberry waffle. He came back to check if he needed any additional sauces as well as coffee/water refills. We typically like sitting at the bar but bar seats were full so we opted for a table rather than wait. There are both high top and low top seating available as well as bar seating against the windows and fermentation silos. There is also seating outdoors if weather permits. The tables use a bar code scanning system to order food and drinks, then a person will deliver the food. I'm okay with this but I can see why some people would be frustrated with this process. For the appetizer we ordered the POBLANO ARTICHOKE DIP - $16 Artichoke, Poblano Chile, Corn, Cheddar, Colby Jack, Parmesan, Garlic, Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Cream Cheese. Warmed and served with Pita bread or chips. We elected for the tortilla chips. This is a tasty appetizer and the perfect size for two people. For drinks we ordered two different hot cocktails served almost like a hot tea. Mulling it over - $17 Glass Creek Vodka, Mulled Spice Juice, Lemon. This was quite good and had a little bit of sweetness. The second was The Hot Toddy. $17. American Single Malt Whiskey, Lemon, Honey, Ginger. This tasted a little stronger and no sweetness. Do I think the drinks are a little expensive , yes. But sadly that is what you come across in a ski village. Personally I was a little shocked at how many families with young children were at the distillery but I've noticed that in almost every bar or brewery in Mammoth. Another good but different experience at Shelter Distilling.

The kids' burger was overcooked to the point of being dry like a cracker, and the fries looked and tasted like they were cooked in old, repeatedly used oil. This is unsafe and unacceptable, especially for children's food. The steak was ordered medium well, but was served well done -- completely overcooked. The chimichurri sauce was also misleading: instead of the classic green sauce, a red mixture was served that had nothing to do with it. The coleslaw was simply awful. Additionally, the staff showed no proper response -- we were not offered a replacement, a discount, or even a proper apology. This reflects a complete disregard for service standards and customer care. In its current state, this does not meet even basic restaurant standards.
