We've been here a number of times now since it's pretty much THE nicer restaurant in Bishop. While they don't have vegan items labeled on their menu, they've always been accommodating about making a few adjustments to make it vegan for my husband and I. We've had wine, the table bread with oil and vin, salads, pastas, and the minestrone soup. Everything has been quite tasty, and prices are totally reasonable. The ambiance is pretty good, and they get very busy in the evenings. After a day of hiking or outdoorsing (I made that word up just now) in the cold temps, a hearty pasta or a warm bowl of soup really hits the spot. We will definitely return on our future visits and stays in Bishop! read more

This was such a fun find! We stopped for dinner after a day of exploring and the food was excellent! We got an order of mozzerella sticks (yum) with their homemade marinara (double yum!). We also ordered their Diablo pizza which was excellent- it was a fun twist on typical pizza toppings. Shrimp might be my new favorite topping. We ordered a large and it was giant! They actually have the mammoth which is one size larger too . The service was amazing- the staff were so friendly and accommodating- really appreciate it!! Restaurant had a nice cozy vibe to it! We ate outside because we had a dog. The service was terrible. We had to go back inside to get refills. We had to go back inside to ask for silverware and napkins. The lady taking the order got order wrong. We had to repeat a few times. We needed ice in our drinks and she didn't ask. It was 90 degrees outside and they didnt seem to want to deal with us the pizza was not all that great. Wont be returning. Charges 75 cents for ranch. Had to ask for Parmesan cheese. read more

Needed some carbs before hiking the Big Pine Lakes trail the next day and this place delivered :)! I wouldn't say their pizza is the most outstanding pizza ever but it was pretty good! I ordered the Sierra Wave which included so many ingredients such as garlic, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, olives, artichoke and jalapeños. I liked that I was able to custom order the pizza by requesting that only half included olives. It also noticed that they had quite a few pasta options on their menu. This pizza spot is very close to the hotels in Bishop. Their service was great and the restaurant was clean. I would just say this place needs a little more work on their ambiance, since it is a little dull inside. read more

My son and I came in on a Sunday. It wasn't very busy and took them a few minutes to seat us. I got minestrone and a small garden salad without cheese olives or dressing. The salad was bigger than I expected it was crisp and cold. A little wet but I enjoyed it. The minestrone was good. It was probably the highlight of the meal for me. My son got a kid cheese pizza which was a pretty big portion for a little guy. I ended up eating one slice of it. It was pretty cheesy and a bit doughy but he enjoyed it. Been here twice in the last 2 months and I can not complain. The staff was friendly and the food was great. We ordered a garden salad, antipasta salad, garlic bread and wings. The place is nice for families and big groups. Only suggestion is add a little more toppings to the pizza. Overall great place and we will be coming back for a 3rd time read more

It's golden hour and the winter sun is pouring over the peaks of the Eastern Sierras through the large windows onto our table. It's pizza time!! We've been coming to Upper Crust for years and I'm happy to say that the food is as good now as it was before the pandemic. Do yourself a favor and order the dry wings (no sauce) and a salad to get your meal headed in the right direction. The Diablo Pizza is probably my favorite pizza at any restaurant. The shrimp, feta, herbs and spicy kick make this pizza extremely unique and scrumptious! The Sierra wave, loaded with artichoke and other briny veg is also one of our all time favorites. Honestly, it doesn't matter which pizza you order, because when the chef tosses that heavenly dough up in the air, you will realize that upper crust pizza is all about the perfect fluffy, crispy, and flavorful pie no matter how you like to dress it up. read more

Upper Crust was next to our hotel so thought we'd give it a try. The people were very nice and attentive. My wife did enjoy her seafood bisque but her spaghetti bolognese was average and not meaty at all. I shared a pizza with my granddaughter that had lots of cheese on it but the toppings were sparse and the sauce nonexistent. Pricing wasn't surprising for a ski town in ski season. read more

Me and my family were passing through coming back from Disneyland, super hungry and eager for a good slice of pizza and we stumbled upon the upper crust. Right away we noticed our waiter whose name I didn't see (curly haired man) was not in the best of moods. We ordered two big pizzas and were asked "well are the kids gonna eat?" And we said yes we are sharing to which he seemed annoyed. As our pizza got closer we wanted to order two beers and were told at the counter we must ask our waiter, when we did he walked right by us in a hurry and grumbled give me a minute.... Well, we gave him 30 cause he never came back no matter how many times we tried to flag him down. We never got our drinks. Service was very nice, my wife and I were in town for a fishing trip and saw the reviews were good, we ordered a pineapple pizza along with appetizers and a salad, the garlic bread was good the salad wasn't the best. When we got our pizza there was a eyelash on it, waiter was very friendly and apologetic, we ordered a new pizza and tried it, the pineapple tasted like it went bad kind of a soapy taste, the Canadian bacon just tasted off. Needed to find a place that was open past 9 pm in Bishop and popped into Upper Crust Pizza. There is a wide selection of pizzas as well as Italian-American fare. Must say that the pizza we ordered was fine, not great, but good and filling. The service was prompt, with a smile, and helpful. The restaurant decor was somewhat dated, but was clean and warm. Prices were reasonable and the food and drinks came out quickly. Nice place to stop and have a leisurely dinner. read more

A 5 for what is available in Bishop and other chains, a 4 compared with the best of independent places in bigger cities. Food is just fine, tastes vary, but it is just fine for us and maybe not for you. Thick crust pizza has too much crust for me, but, that is just me. Staff, contrary to others' experience, has been great. Only issue is wait time for pizza, other foods are faster, but, they are pretty good at warning you when you walk in the door, or are seated. Big take-out order ahead of us, 45 minutes from seated to served. No big order, or few orders, 15 minutes. A family place, not a place to propose or breakup. We let the kids bring their electronics, on silent/earphones, or order, and go back to car to wait, family rule is NO electronics while eating with family, at home or out, including MacDonald's. Alternative is take-out, but cool by the time we get it home, and, menu on line is not very complete, although other websites have photos of it. read more

It came in a nice size for two although we only ordered a cup. It's thick and tomato-ey, has plenty of fish inside. Overall 3/5. Specialty pizza - Stromboli. It stuffed all the sauce and cheese and toppings inside the crust, which is pretty fun to eat. You get to choose 2 toppings and we picked Italian sausage and zucchini. Nice marinara sauce and stringy cheese. The sausage was savory and flavorful. The crust is crunchy on the two ends but soft and chewy on the inside. Hubby wanted pizza so to Yelp we go to determine the restaurant. UCP was close to our motel and offers delivery, but we elected to pick up. They have an order/pick up window facing the parking lot, which is very convenient and appreciated. We saw others parking and picking up, so pace remained brisk for a Wednesday night. When hubby's pie was ready, his name was called and brought outside for him, fresh and piping hot. Smelled delicious and looked fantastic. He declared it very yummy and was happy with his dinner.
