My dad has chronic illnesses and cannot manage himself when these unexpected gaps in care occur, which causes stress to the family . I recommend that Options for Senior Care America develop an accountability culture and hire more qualified aides or a contract to maintain continuity of care for their clients . They get the big important things right: they ask smart questions and truly listen to your answers to try to find people ideally suited to your needs; they have a large pool of truly qualified people to draw from; they work really hard to have one caregiver cover as many of your requested shifts as possible even when it's a non-standard, changeable schedule; they don't pressure you for more hours than you need, nor pass you from one administrator to another every week; they don't artificially jack up prices when they hear desperation in your voice or shame and blame you when a caregiver doesn't fit your needs. They also get the secondary details right: they are always reachable, their response time is incredible, their nurse does an intake in the least obtrusive way possible and even then only when required by Maryland state law or the tasks involved, caregivers can login via an app that utilizes GPS for an efficient time card system, they can help with longterm care insurance reimbursement, and paying invoices is a snap online. I really couldn't ask for more. They get my highest recommendation...and my continued business!
