Not going to lie they're nice but nice can only go so far. You can tell they're disorganized and they just don't communicate at all. We had to keep calling for an update and I felt like I was a bother. My husband went to drop it off he said someone said just leave it here and the vacuum guy will come in a few days. They call us they need our paper work and I brought it. Then we never heard back until we called again and they had issues with the company which (I do have warranty but that's another issue) but that's fine if they couldn't do it but it's the lack of communication for me. I never got any feedback so we just tried to handle it ourselves and even though in the end we couldn't resolve the issue I wished instead of going back and forth they would've just told me up front they couldn't do it and not waste my time for almost two weeks of not having a vacuum I could've just gone to a store and bought another one. Please do yourself a favor if your vacuum breaks and you call the manufacturer and they send you here just buy yourself a new one it's not worth dealing with this incompetent company because the guy name Edward even said if they were to fix it, that's another couple weeks or more just to order the parts. So I am done with Miele's now. Rather go buy a Shark or Dyson at this point. read more

Every part of this transaction has been horrible. Homewerks does sell cool stuff for the home - but I would absolutely find another dealer rather than go through this business again. Post sale communication is terrible. Calls are not returned. Delivery, even after confirmed multiple times (6 weeks in advance, 4 weeks in advance, and the week of the scheduled delivery) didn't happen. Three guys with a completely filled truck showed up and said "where do you want 'em - front porch or in the garage?" Denise Sanchez, the owner, is THE ONLY PERSON who can answer your questions. No one else in the entire staff can answer simple questions like backorder status, delivery date, etc. You have to confirm everything with Denise. For example, this week I have e-mailed twice with no response. If you are spending $15k plus on new kitchen appliances - find a reputable company to deal with - Homewerks is not. read more

Can I give fewer than one star? Because that's what I want to do. We should have walked away when the sales person told us that only the owner can write up a sale. That took days longer. Our appliances were on back order for months. To be fair, that was a pandemic-related supply chain issue and not their fault. We understood, and it was fine because we were renovating our kitchen, so we had time. I tried to schedule delivery and installation six weeks in advance, but the sales staff couldn't do it. Only the owner. But she didn't return my call, so I had to keep calling until she was in the store. Then I confirmed a week ahead. Delivery day arrived, I had my plumbers and electricians there in case there were problems (time I had to pay for), the HomeWerks crew showed up, and they put everything in the garage and left. Installation wasn't included. When I called the store, no one could help me because (you guessed it) only the owner handles problems, and she was on vacation. The following week, she finally called me back and said installation was never scheduled. Just delivery. I asked her in what world would someone order $15k of appliances and not want them installed? We had a dishwasher, range, vent hood, built-in microwave, and two wine fridges. Of course we needed them installed. And I mentioned that it is HER JOB to ask for that clarification when she is scheduling. I also told her it is poor management to not have any staff who can handle problems while she is not there, which seems to be frequently. Her response was, "Today is Tuesday and I've got you on the schedule for installation tomorrow, so I'd say that's pretty good," as if she were doing me some huge favor instead of doing what she should have done in the first place. Doing what she was scheduled to do a week later is not "pretty good." Her crew arrived the next day. We discovered that one of the wine fridges was damaged in shipping, with the frame bent and the front vent cover crushed. So we told them not to install it. They halfway installed the dishwasher and said they couldn't do anymore. They said the electrical for the range was set up wrong, but our electrician was there and said he'd set it up according to the specs we'd given him months before. They argued with him over it and refused to install the range. They said the opening for the vent hood was wrong and didn't install that, either. (We installed it ourselves with no issues a couple days later. The opening was correct.) They said they'd be able to straighten the frame of the wine fridge and would order a new vent cover for us, but we've heard nothing. In further inspecting the damaged fridge, we found that the shelves are incorrectly installed (not their fault--it was a manufacturing defect) and emailed the owner asking her to let us know what our options for replacing the unit were. She did not respond to our email. So my husband contacted the manufacturer directly to solve the problem. I would stay as far away from this business as possible. The owner micromanages so much that no employees can help you if there is a problem. She refuses to take ownership of any problem she creates and does not communicate with customers in a timely or professional manner. I would drive to Austin to find appliances before ever stepping foot in her store. Heck, I'd drive to Houston first! read more

I purchased a Blue Star Range from Homewerks. They were happy to sell me something and promise a two-year warranty. Now that the range needs repair no response at all from the owner. Each call to try and get a status update 2 1/2 months later Edward takes a message and no call back. We've have been told only Denise can handle the repairs, but she refuses to call back. Guess we'll make a visit to the store. One month after the service call I was told the part is on back order. I finally called the manufacture myself to find out what's the hold up with the part. I was told the part was order and sent within two weeks from original service call which was Oct 29, 2021. Trying to get Denise to call back and set a time to come install the part is proving to be a challenge. read more

Horrible service response and scheduling. It took 3 weeks to get someone out. Got charged $100 for 15 minutes of work. Then told we had to wait for the part. Another 2 weeks for that if I'm lucky. Not sure why she would not overnight it. But not surprised. I called Verona rep who said I'm not the only one to complain about them. When I called the store to voice my concern I was told "they could not work" for free. I never even mentioned anything about wanting anything for free. I'm sure her boss was listening. I have been looking for a vacuum cleaner. I have one that works but I want a powerful git her done type of machine. Home Werks is located relatively near my house and I noticed that they keep their vacuum cleaners up in the front of the store. That drew me in right away. They are exclusively Miele brands on the cleaners and exclusively certain brands for each type of home decor and appliances you are looking for. The owners must have taken their time to carefully scope out the most efficient machines and placed them in their store. The place is immaculate and so beautifully done. I love their kitchen model with the overhead pot holding contraption. If only I were completely rich, as I believe that this place exclusively caters to those upper middle classes. In the meantime, I will keep looking for the right cleaner for me, style and price-wise. read more

Needed a clog removed from my Miele vacuum, and when all else fails.. you seek help from the professionals. I brought in my vacuum, was told 2-3 days for estimate. Called 4 days later, and said I would be reciveing a call the next day, they had many vacuums (6-8) ahead of me. Which is odd, when I dropped it off, there were only 3 ahead of me. But ok.. I understand. Next thing I know I am getting a call over a week later that my vacuum is ready to be picked up. It was a voicemail, he said "Your vacuum is ready to be picked up. Your total is __________. If you have any questions please call us back." There was a long pause and not mention of my total. Very odd. Went to pick it up, under $50, so I was pleased with this. I was not pleased with the fact that I did not receive a call with the estimate, nor did I ever receive calls back, when they said I would. Will bring vacuum back for repairs, as they did do a good job, just lacking a little on the customer service side. read more

Their prices are quite compatible with on-line stores, but Homewerks excels in the advice and with the service. Moreover, when they install an appliance one gets an additional one year of warranty! I only write a review if my experience was exceptionally good (or bad). In this case, my experience was fantastic. I purchased a new Miele washer and dryer from Homewerks. The sales and service experience was nothing less than wonderful from the beginning. Unfortunately, the dryer was faulty and after multiple frustrating attempts to work with the manufacturer to service the equipment, Homewerks stepped in and had the dryer replaced. What had become a nightmare trying to get the situation resolved through the warranty process became a blessing to me as Homewerks took care of everything. I really can't say enough about the care and attention from the entire staff at Homewerks. I will never go anywhere else. I am one happy and satisfied customer! read more

This place is incredible. If you want super friendly customer service and amazing high end products, such as, ovens, free standing ranges, hoods, coffee makers, etc....this is the place. No pressure and sales person was very knowledgeable. Great thing about this place is you an actually test the product. He showed us the stove I liked and turned it on. They have Miele, which is expensive but so worth it. The also carry BlueStar ovens, Bertazzoni, and AGA. Top quality. It is also just a cool place to check out if you love kitchen things. I'm looking for a pro style oven and have done massive research and probably leaning towards a BlueStar. Go in just to look you won't be disappointed. read more

The store is not clean. They have paper work all over the place. Dust in the show room. They are selling cool stuff but the ones they used for showing ( at least I hope) are not being clean afterwords. If they don't know how to clean the appliance after it gets used, who can. After all it is the show room and they should show the best even after a demo. And if this is top of the line appliance why can not look like new after they get used. Why would u choose them. I feel strongly about cleanliness and that was a put off. You open stove, dirty; you look at counters , dirty; look inside ovens, dirty; look inside the grill, dirty. I have miss feelings about it. I stopped by this business to check out their electric cooktops, specifically their Viking 6 burner. Additionally I needed vacuum bags for my Riccar. I was told to wait....I did for 15 minutes while they took care of customers on the phone. Several customers on the phone. I guess phone customers are more important than ones in the store. I left extremely disappointed but glad I didnt buy from them as customer service is not their strong suit!!! I purchased a Blue Star electric wall oven at Homewerks with the aid of Randy. He explained everything that I needed to know about this new model and what was needed for this oven to be installed. He pretty much held my hand throughout the process. I needed it quickly, so Randy had the owner contact Blue Star, and with her connections and a bit of extra money, she facilitated an early arrival. (just before Christmas) Homewerks installed the oven... the owner made sure that it was done correctly and that I was completely satisfied. I felt they were with me from start to finish. I have purchased many appliances at many different places. This was not a simple purchase or install due to the expediting and the configuration of the cabinet, but Homewerks made it happen. This would not have been the case if I had gone to an online store or Sears. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat! read more

We spent $14,000 on a custom Blue Star Range and Hood. When the stove was installed someone broke the Griddle knob and it wouldn't adjust the temp on the griddle. After 10 plus calls, emails and personal show ups to the place to get a new knob, being told it was ordered and that it would take 3-4 months to get in - I called up Blue Star in PA and ordered the knob in a matter of minutes. I was told that the new knob will ship in 2 weeks. They can sell you a great stove - but the customer service is for the birds. read more

The sales department (or at least one individual in particular) is arrogant, especially after they have your money. Dealt with this one individual for 6 years because my builder picked Homewerks for my specialty wiring, central vac, and alarm system. The old wound was reopened when I replaced a part for the central vac less than a year ago and it broke again in the exact same way. All I got was this guy blaming me for not using it correctly...and in the most condescending way you could ever expect someone in the front office to do. Went to Homewerks as part of planning a kitchen renovation. Had some very nice appliances that we were absolutely considering purchasing. The problem was that our saleswoman recommended some cabinet makers, who came out to the house and measured "with attitude" (soooo busy with other clients) and we've never heard from them again...even after a call to Homewerks two weeks after the measure. We were told they were still interested in the job, but here it is, almost 2 months past the original measure...and nothing. Not one word. What a waste of our time. Very disappointed in their customer service. I paid a tech to come to my office to troubleshoot the DVR for my surveillance system. He was very helpful and was even available on his personal phone when I had additional issues. He told me if the problem persisted I would need to replace my DVR. I asked him to send me a quote for a new system. When I called back a week later he stated the person that handles the quotes had been on vacation and would send it within a few days. The installation was very complicated because it was for existing construction with two separate buildings connected by a foyer and was two floors. Homewerks is amazing.
