We stopped by Homewise to see check out refrigerators. Love how many different options they have to check out. If you need help definitely ask for Chris Arroyo! He is amazing. He knows everything about everything. He was so incredibly helpful running through all the differences between models and helped us narrow down to the perfect one. They had incredible sales going so we definitely got the best price (we had already checked the big box stores the day before). We also got our ovens here a few years ago. The staff at Homewise will flat out lie and be deceptive to get you to buy from them. They do not stand behind the equipment they dump on their customers. They desperately push older equipment on their customers so they can get it out of the warehouse. One of their favorite games to play is to sell out of stock merchandise to unsuspecting customers, when the customer gets tired of waiting for equipment that will never gets delivered and cancels the order, Homewise will hit them with a "restocking" fee. It's a big scam. Do business elsewhere. These people need to get their act together. read more

I came to replace my fridge. I went over in detail w/ salesperson and figured out the one I needed to fit where my fridge is. The price was fair- same across the internet. In the end- they could not/would not deliver as it was going to be installed next to and existing functioning fridge. They cannot do that apparently -quoting "they have been sued." So- please take caution- they will take your money first, you find out later they cannot install-despite describing it all. Then I tried to hire people to do the install and they all thought it was weird that the Appliance store would not do the install! So in the end despite my best efforts to install out of pocket- I had to make a return. So bizarre, so I can't get a new fridge unless I replace both left and right? The Salesman knew my set up and fridge but apparently didn't know this company detail of not allowed to install on swapping out one of 2 side by side fridges (semi built in) was against their rules. We bought a high end Coffee MIELE Maker through Hayward location in 2022. We bought their extended warranty. BUYER BEWARE. We have been waiting over a month to get approval for the dollar amount to get it repaired. Their process, you pay, then get reimbursed. We have not even gotten to that point yet. BUY THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY IF YOU ARE GOING THAT WAY. Today's appliances are built to last maybe 10 years if you are lucky. We bought a GE compactor from the San Rafael store last May in 2025. We indicated we wanted "panel ready" fronts as we were trying to get the kitchen to have a full panel look. The saleman indicated that the stainless front could be converted to a panel ready front. We are now finishing our extensive kitchen remodel and the contractor was trying to figure out how to install the Crystal panel onto the compactor. Guess what, the panel ready model has a differant model number than the stainless model and the panel will not work. We contacted the saleman that sold us almost $33000 worth of applicances and his answer is that we signed the purchase order so its on us. Additionally since the purchase was made last May the item can not be returned. Considering all the money we spent I expected them to work with us on this mistake. We'll take our business somewhere else next time and recommend to others to do the same. read more

At the store, we discussed what I needed from the machines, and he was knowledgeable, patient and very helpful. I stupidly forgot to measure the exact space I had before I got to the store, but he assured me there would be no problem if I needed to make changes. Well, I did - I didn't have an extra 7/8" that I needed, so my entire order needed to be replaced/substituted, and he took care of everything. His communication has been excellent, and the installers who came to the house were efficient, pleasant, helpful and did a great job. Good selection of products. Sales personnel are helpful and seem knowledgeable. Prices imo are not as good as in previous years. Having used this location twice in the last two years, I have been disappointed with the delivery service. Two years ago the crew refused to install a gas stove, some issue with the shut off valve (which had just passed city inspection). They left the stove in the middle of the room and I had to have my contractor finish the installation! And more recently, I ordered a dishwasher, was given a delivery date, the time window was confirmed by text the evening prior, and delivery was still missed due to "technical error". After canceling plans for the entire day this, to me, is unacceptable and needs serious attention. I will not be doing business with them in the future. read more

This company sent someone out to take measurements for the appliance suite my friend ordered. After waiting weeks for his appliances they brought them out for delivery and they did not fit! They wound up having to cut up his cabinets to make the oven fit which now needs attention. The stove top also did not fit. The service from Homewise Appliance has been awful. We are writing this review in the hope that someone in senior management will see it and help resolve an issue that has been ongoing for months. We purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven from this store and worked with Chris Arroyo. The sales process was smooth. We paid additional delivery charges due to the complexity of getting the refrigerator into our home, and we also purchased the extended warranty to ensure any future issues would be handled efficiently. From the day the refrigerator was delivered, it has made a loud and constant noise. We reported this immediately. Since then, we have made numerous attempts to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, communication has been inconsistent. Many calls and emails have gone unanswered. On the occasions when we do reach someone, we are told that a service technician will contact us, but that follow-up has not occurred. Chris Arroyo also indicated that he would help facilitate a resolution, but the situation remains unresolved. We understand that service departments can be busy, but months without meaningful progress is not acceptable, particularly when we paid for extended coverage. At this point, we are preparing to escalate the matter formally. That said, we would much prefer to resolve this directly with the company. We are hopeful that management will take ownership of this situation and help us reach a timely resolution. We chose this store because of its reputation and would genuinely like the opportunity to update this review once the issue is addressed. read more

Our old dishwasher died. We went to AHA and very quickly working with Amos in San Rafael were able to select and schedule the replacement. The next day the new dishwasher arrived and the crew did an excellent job removing the old and installing the new. We're very satisfied. read more

Our salesman Amos Matthew's really helped us in steering us to a KitchenAid refrigerator we had not seen anywhere else. It fits our space perfectly which was going to be a big problem The newer replacements would leave big gaps on the top and sides. We are very happy. I ordered a KitchenAid cooktop online. The only option was delivery, even though there is a showroom less than 5 miles from my house. It took around 5 back and forth calls with their customer service to just schedule a drop off date and time when it was ready. Several times I called to into their customer service and was told that no one could help me at this time and to call again. They seem to have a 2 tier system - first offshore, limited English. Second, if you're lucky, a direct connection to someone more local or the promise to get a call back, which never happens. I finally got a date scheduled and it was delivered on time and in good condition, but I realized later... without the extra flexible gas connector that I had paid for. 3-4 calls later and still no response from anyone with the authority to rectify this problem. I did get a reasonably priced cooktop delivered on time in good condition (which is the 2 stars), but they need to get the rest of their purchase and support process under control. At this point I'm just bailing on the $35 gas connector that I bought and wasn't delivered. read more

buyer beware Airport Home Appliance uses a 3rd party for their extended warranty. I spent over $1200 on a dishwasher from the San Rafael location with a major reason for the nicer washer being that the salesperson touted it as a 10 year+ appliance. Broken after 3 years. Dealing with the warranty has been a terrible experience. Airport has clearly stated it is not their problem. Their team of 3 came to our home to take measurements of our oven for a replacement. Upon reaching our front door I asked them to remove their shoes as our household does not wear shoes into our home. Their team leader looked confused like he didn't understand at first, then said they couldn't take off their shoes, and after a strange silence, asked if I have booties for them. Huh? No sorry amigo, I don't keep booties handy for work crews. After staring at each other for a few moments, the team leader said they'll run out back to their truck to get their booties. This whole interaction seemed a little off. They could have easily gone back to their truck to get their booties but seemed to feign confusion and then an annoyed reluctance to do so. Not quite what I would call courteous or very professional. Hopefully the oven install goes better and I can update this review. read more

In October of 2022, I purchased a Fisher & Paykel fridge from the Airport Home Appliances store in San Rafael. I incorrectly assumed that a retailer approved to sell higher-end brands like F&P and Bosch would have been vetted by these brands and required to meet minimum standards of customer service. Apparently not. Service has been shoddy every step of the way and I'm now stuck with a leaking fridge just barely out of the manufacturer's warranty. I purchased the 3-year extended warranty which has proven to be a joke. Airport Home Appliances never provided me the written warranty. When the leak started, I called the store and asked how to access warranty service. Weeks and numerous phone calls later, the warranty company informed me they were not going to cover the leak because "they don't cover replaceable items" and, later, that I had somehow magically caused the leak myself while the filter assembly was shut away in a cabinet. All this with a snotty, condescending tone, totally unconcerned about customer needs. I asked them to send me the written warranty and they initially refused, then said they would email it, but they never did. Airport Home Appliances is surely aware of the problems with this worthless extended warranty program but they take customers' money for it anyway. To move things along, I called Fisher & Paykel and explained the problem I was having. The parts department recommended a part and I purchased it. Now I have to hire someone to install it. Meaning, to repair the defective appliance (which has also damaged floors and cabinetry), I'm on my own. Airport Home Appliances seems to be a low-end operation in my opinion. It's especially disappointing that it's supposedly a woman-owned business. I regret purchasing from them and won't do so again. read more

I didn't receive a copy of the extended warranty I purchased, and after calling and emailing our salesperson and the manager, it has been a week and no response. Customer service found the paperwork, but could not send it to me! Only our sales guy can do that. But crickets from him. This review is my second and it's not for the sales staff only. My advice is to not buy anything from this store unless you want a really bad customer service experience from beginning to end. The wolf salesperson dropped the ball and maybe because it was one speed oven we ordered so he really lost interest. The install was a total nightmare. They charge you an installation fee but then without you knowing if there are modifications their independent installers charge you more. First oven was scratched. Install team head was a young kid who was rude and arrogant . 4 months later new oven arrives with different install team. The installer failed to install a trim piece that came with the oven but decided to take it with him along with the hinge covers. After many phone calls to wolf to get the missing parts and no returned calls from the CS person at AA that promised me she would send out a team to install it I finally ended up paying a independent appliance repair to put it on. Install ended up costing us 600 Dollar- 400 over AA fee. I have never experience such a poorly run store. If you got to BBB you can read the 100's of other bad reviews of Airport Appliance.
