I purchased a new car with Honda North. The car BUYING experience was fantastic. Everything went smoothly. Picked out the car on Saturday, had it ready to roll Monday. Again, the BUYING experience was great! I Have called MANY times over the course of the last 10 months. Honda finance never sent the lien information to my insurance company. More phone calls, voice mail messages left...Never a call back....NOTHING I sent an email via their web site...I opted out of their car service package because I didn't know if I would always be here to get it done. I'm glad I opted out!! If they can't return ( multiple voice mails and emails) I certainly don't want to be locked. My insurance still doesn't have the information they need...10 MONTHS later. The purchase process for my 2018 certified pre-owned was fairly smooth, until the very last step, a simple inspections sticker for a car with less than 7,000 miles, should be quick, 30 minutes top, they said. Over an hour later, the car finally passed, but sure enough, after driving my new car all of ONE day, it's back in service for over a week. This is for the service dept. I brought my CR-V in for airbag recall and when I got it back the airbag light started coming on intermittently and I never had that problem before. I brought it back and they charged me $120 to run the codes. It takes the tech more time to fetch the car than it does to run the codes! So they charged me an obscene amount of money to find their mistake. I thought they would be different because they are employee owned. Don't be fooled they are rip off artists. We just got our second car here and could not be happier about the experience. We had been trying to simultaneously shop for new cars for both my wife and I. The difference between how exceptional our experience was at Honda North and how horrible it was at the other dealership (Ira Toyota- I wrote a very long review about that experience) could not be emphasized enough. We worked with a salesman named Jay, and he was awesome. We walked in, asked him about some options, and he was all about helping us. He was quick to grab a couple of test drive options, and we were able to make a decision very shortly after arriving. Then they really impressed me... When it came time to talk numbers, we still did a little back and forth, but there was maybe a couple minutes between each part of the negotiation. There was a sales manager, Steve, who came by during this portion, and he was also great. After less than 30 total mins of negotiating, we had a very good deal on exactly the car we wanted. Big thumbs up for Jay and Steve. I would absolutely recommend buying from Honda North. Easily the best car shopping experience I've ever had. As far as their service dept.- we had a little work done their with our first car, but they were a little pricey, so typically went to a local mechanic. No real complaints though, but nothing to write home about either. We'll use them for the new car since it's a lease, and hopefully we'll have good experiences going forward. read more

Just got off the phone with the sales manager Paul. He confirmed that it permeates from the top down; honoring your word and doing the right thing mean nothing here. I was promised a check for $100 wheel locks I did not agree to buy that never came. Just so everyone knows, whatever price you agree to on your vehicle they will sneak in a line on the contract that says $99 for wheel locks and say everyone pays for this and it's non negotiable. Well this is obviously a lie, just like just about everything else you hear at this dealership. When I said I didn't want the $100 lug nuts, the sales guy said, "No problem, we will mail you a check for them. " That check never came. When I inquired about this months later because the proper paperwork had not been filed to get the title to the lender, I was told by Gary that I should have received an IOU and they would not honor what I was told by my sales associate. I had text messages and screen shots that clearly showed that the "check was in the mail" but I was told it didn't matter because I didn't have an IOU, but he would give me a $100 credit to the service department. No thanks, already stole my money, not gonna give you another chance to go through my glove compartment and steal my change or something. Paul , the sales manager , just got off the phone with me and he thinks that saying you are going to mail a check and then not paying is not stealing. I was able to test drive different models and even colors, when I finally ended up with a new Honda Accord EX-L right off of the truck. The pricing was great and the team was awesome. I couldn't believe how fancy their service bay was, not that I will ever have to use it with the new car. They had the cleanest and most current showroom as well; other dealers for both Honda and Toyota that I met were all inferior. The last two times we had dealings with them , They have given terrible customer service! When doing the financing part of this last deal We placed our down payment with them after signing the man came back to us with " I made a mistake" We talked about it, and each time he came back with a different figure. I asked for his manager and he came back with another figure. NO CONSISTENCY! Ridiculous! They did refund out down payment but I want my car I picked out. For the price they quoted me! Although their service itself is good, they are horrific at following guidelines during this pandemic. I had to sanitize my car before I could get into it to drive it home and wear a mask with windows down for the drive home. Their service folks do not wash their hands before hopping into your car and starting it to see the odometer. There is absolutely no room to socially distance in their service manager area. Their techs although mostly masked have some completely unmasked and others wearing them under their noses. They do not change gloves from car to car. The waiting area has seats side by side and was completely filled. They are not paperless except for your receipt but bring your own pen to sign the consent to repair form. And wear a really good mask! I sat outside on a rock but they kept parking cars up along that area and hopping out without masks. read more

I went to Honda North today for a scheduled service appointment at 11am regarding my car starter and they said they couldn't take me. They told me to come back another night to drop my car off so they can take a look at it first thing in the morning. They said they usually try to call first for situations like these. Anyways, I left and called Kelly Honda on the Lynnway and they said they would look at my car. I went there right away , was seen right away and they fixed my starter. I don't know why I didn't just go there in the first place; more convenient anyways. Won't be going back to Honda North. They were my first choice because I bought the car there. read more

I'm coming in at 2 stars because I've never personally been here and I'll give them a small benefit of the doubt. However I just had a phone call with a family member to whom Honda North tried hard to up-sell to a $360 service package for 15k service. Their package is listed on their website and is essentially a bunch of "check this" and "inspect that" stuff. If they actually care about the customer's safety and getting business for repairs when they are needed, they should simply be doing these types of checks and inspections as a courtesy while the oil is draining, like most every other dealership I've ever dealt with in the last 25 years. They are also recommending a differential fluid change as part of that service. However, the car has a specific code to tell you when differential fluid change is needed. Which my family member's car is not showing. It really seems like nothing but a way to get money out of people who are really just coming in for the recommended Honda 5k oil change and tire rotation service, which is really all my family member's car needs with just 15K on the clock. read more

There is so much negative about this dealership so ill give you the highlights -a appt was suppose to be set up for me when i arrived no one knew i was coming -sales guy couldnt find the vehicle we had discussed with online rep -sales guy appauled at price we were given online -as mentioned in another review come to find out the car we were discussing and given a quote on was a demo model and not for sale for 6 months. -annoyed that i wasted my time and they did not the vehicle i was lookng for i left -i messaged the online rep and sales managers the next day. Stating i would like the model and color dicussed still for the same price quoted -come to find out not only did they not know i was coming in, did not have the right vehicle but the online rep misquoted us nd even though we had in writing the quoted price with model numbers and photo of the vehicle. Management was unwilling to offer the price. -i spoke with mangement by phone on 2 occasions. On the first it was clear he had not done his research about all the issues occuring and he was unaware the price i was quoted. On the second occasion when i stated i wanted the price i was quoted rather than come to a reasonable middle ground he offered 300$ off their online price. When we were given a quote for thousands off origionally -they also wanted to charge me over 1000 more than what i owed on my lease that is through their location -this company has shady business practices and i will never buy another honda based on this experience. Attempted to purchase a Honda Pilot from this dealership over a week and a half ago and was met with excellent customer service up until we signed a purchase agreement to hold our vehicle of choice. Our sales associate told us the car would be ready at the very latest the following Monday (roughly 4 days later). Yesterday after numerous calls, texts and emails to the sales associate and two separate sales managers we finally gave up. When we went back in to get a refund on our purchase agreement, the sales manager, Zach, took zero ownership of their lack of communication and service, blaming it on their body shop. I would also like to add that after calling and emailing two separate sales managers, neither of them returned either call or email. To make a long story short, we received the worst customer service I have ever been subjected to and chose to go with Kelly Honda. Our brand new Pilot is sitting in our driveway less than 24 hours after talking to the sales associate. Honda North could learn a very valuable lesson on how to treat their customers from Kelly Honda. read more

I've owned three Honda cars and I know they are excellent. My Honda Odyssey started having problems after 7 years. I called Honda north the sales person was very kind I wanted another Odyssey and said that not that the only car that I could qualify as one that she chose CRV and my credit was not right. I seemed very helpful but she never gave me an appointment to see the car or drive, I just wanted the car hitch. At that time I had health problems and a lot of work. So I took the car I knew that Honda has no problems. Surprise, the first day I drove it, I realized that the heating of the car did not work well I did call her and she ignored me. I never got the checkbook to pay and after making some calls and not having my loan number I managed to pay my monthly payment. After 3 months in my car, the windows are not working, I sent Stephanie an email asking for an explanation because he chose the worst car for me without the opportunity to verify and she answered that she had 18 years in this business and never had any problem or made a mistake. It gave me a lot of sadness that treated me terrible. Because I worked in Business and lending in a bank for 12 years and I had a lot of satisfaction with my clients but whenever I made a mistake or someone was not satisfied I always tried to take it by listening to my client and satisfying their needs. She is perfect and I do not so I expect Honda to fix my car problem because I like working with humans who make mistakes, not with perfect humans and narcissist read more

My experience with Honda North was nothing short of outstanding! My salesman, Sean Geyer, truly went ABOVE AND BEYOND in helping me get the best deal for the car I wanted. He even corresponded with me while I was out of the country on vacation, to assure that the car was available and the deal could be met. Aside from being a helpful and knowledgeable salesman, he's a genuinely nice person. I feel so fortunate that I got assigned to him when I first walked in. I normally dread going to a dealer for a new car, but my experience with Sean was such a breath of fresh air. I NEVER felt pressured and from beginning to end, the whole experience was excellent. I was in the market for a Honda Civic lease for my son and had called 5 local Honda dealerships of which this was one. We went for a test drive and loved the car. Come time to sit down and negotiate is where the experience got ugly. I was told in no uncertain terms that the lease rate was non-negotiable and proceeded to walk away. This was after talking to both the salesperson and his desk manager. I called a friend who is in the warranty business marketing to New England dealers and he recommended that I call Boch Honda in Norwood. Well, within 15 minutes from being told the lease rate was non-negotiable, I had a faxed commitment letter from Boch with a monthly rate of $158 with $2,000 down and for 24 months and told they would hold a car for me under those terms. By the way, Honda North explained I could only do a lower term and higher monthly payment. As my friend in the business explained to me, high-volume dealers like Boch qualify for a manufacter's credit which provides them with latitude on ALL the terms. So, within a span of two hours from being told "can't be done", I was driving a new Honda past Honda North which happens to be 1/2 mile from my house. Driving the extra hour to Boch was well worth the drive and my son and I were treated very fairly. Bottom line: I would never recommend anyone patronize this business and I was fortunate enough to walk away and get a better deal. read more

Fraud!! That explains Honda North in one word. I bought a new car there and they sold me on the deal with their 7 year/100,000 mile extended drive train warranty. My mistake was I didn't look into that warranty before I bought the car. 1. They "forget" to tell me that you have to have all, 100% maintenance done at THEIR dealership, forever. 2. They will not give you a document stating what you have to do to stay within the guidelines of the warranty. 3. I contacted the General Manager and the Service Manager several times and they refuse to reply to my request to give me this document. 4. Salesman will give you a verbal (after the sale) to "just do the maintenance". The second you try to get Honda North to honor the warranty, you'll then see the document, stating you missed something and that voids their worthless, fraudulent warranty. Presently, I'm in contact with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office and they are very interested in my story. You can read my full story on the BBB site shortly. Terrible experience with the service department. Was having some issues after getting in an accident a few months prior. I had to wait a week before having it looked at at all - they misdiagnosed the problem. 2 weeks went by and the problem persisted - when I called they said I'd have to wait ANOTHER week before they could look at it. Finally all was resolved and I went to pick it up... there was no gas in it (I dropped it off with over a quarter tank) and it was FILTHY inside - dirt / dust everywhere - had to leave it there for a 3rd time (mind you I have a 45 minute ride to and from this place) for them to fully detail it as it was that dirty. Spent a lot of money here fixing a gas leak and some wheel bearings. Before agreeing to replacing the final bearing, the service rep confirmed that Honda North would pay for the Enterprise rental I had. They never paid for that, and instead offered me a meager discount to replace another wheel bearing. To boot, they lost my spare tire cover and did not offer to replace it. I called them a lot, and whoever I spoke to would blow me off or tell me they would speak with their manager. After weeks of this, I had to dispute some of their charges with my credit card company. Some of the worst customer service I've ever had. If my car broke down in their parking lot, I would have it towed elsewhere before having them fix it. read more

Giving this dealership one star was generous. They sweet talk you at the service department, but the bottom line is they don't know what they're doing. My car overheated four times in two months. I brought it in and explained to them that the radiator fluid was leaking and that the grill was hot and that my Honda had overheated four times in two months. Driving it was literally endangering my life. And I explained that i clearly needed to have it fixed. Or we have them figure out what the problem was. So I brought my Honda in for servicing and they gave me a loaner which, by the way, the gas gauge was basically on empty when they gave me the loaner. So I Started off by spending $30 for filling up a gas tank that was empty when I picked it up. Bottom line: after 3 days in their service department at Honda North, they insisted the car was fine, they did not listen to me when I explained about the fluid dripping out of the bottom which a fifth grader could have noticed. They never addressed the issue of my radiator. They insisted nothing was wrong with it and they fixed everything BUT my radiator. I drove out of the dealership after their 'service' feeling frustrated that nobody would listen to my concern that my car was going to overheat again. Within five minutes of leaving Honda North service department...guess what happened...? Yep, my car overheated again. Do NOT service your car with these people. They do not want to hear the truth. All they want is to have your Honda run into the ground in the hopes that you'll buy a new Honda from them. I'm buying a Honda but NOT from Hinda North. I am instead buying a new Honda (cash.
