Where do I begin? My husband and I moved into a 57 year old remodeled Arcadia home after living in NE Scottsdale for 21 years. The first month was great but then my husband began to get sick the second month. The day after Christmas 2016 both my husband and I became very sick,(sinus congestion, chest congestion, ear congestion and sore throats) long story and 4 rounds of antibiotics (December 26 to March 1) Late one night we found out that the previous owners had cats (we are highly allgeric to cats) That evening(8:30pm) we emailed Honest Air, Brandon responded immediately with a quote. The next morning we hired them letting them know it was an emergency and needed them out that day. Brandon was understanding and very sympathetic he stated Lance would be over between 4-6pm Lance called said he was early and promptly showed at 3:20 and began. Lance was professional, knowledgeable and patient with all the questions we asked him. We can not thank Honest Air Care and Duct Cleaning enough we paid what they quoted us, they were on time and professional what else can you ask for especially in an industry that gets a bad wrap. On a scale of 1-10 and 10 being the worst the house coils were a 10+ Right after the service you could tell the air was crisper, thinner and smelled fresh a day later the air feels so clean and fresh. We found out that inside/outside coils need to be cleaned every 5-7 years and especially after a remodel or if you are moving into a house and don't know the history. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT ONLY HONEST AIR DUCT BUT LANCE. I will be letting everyone know what a great job they did. Make sure to check out the pictures. read more

My husband was hurt at work last October. He had to have surgery & has been in physical therapy for 6 months. When he was hurt the owner drove him to the ER & all of his tools were left @ the job site. A picture of the tools were sent to him to let him know they had them and they were "safe" During this entire process we couldn't get one response from the owner/boss after MULTIPLE calls & texts. He will not allow him to resume his position, his tools ($1000 worth) are now "missing" and even after being told they would be replaced we STILL cannot get a response from anyone. This is the shadiest company and shadiest situation I have ever witnessed. We have 3 children and mouths to feed. We have tried reaching out and spoke to someone in HR named Julie, she is also no help since she is Eric's (the owners) girlfriend. If you're looking for an honest HVAC company this is not it. Yesterday I was looking for a new a/c company to take a look at why my heat pump made weird noises and shut off when the heat was turned on after a while. I came across this company, rolled my eyes a bit when I saw their name "Honest" Air Care and I thought to myself 'yeah right.' Needless to say I haven't had the best experience with other a/c companies; a lot of crooks out there. Yesterday rained all day and a few of the companies I called said they wouldn't work in the rain..huh? I called Honest Air at 4:30 and they had someone here by 5:30pm. When the guys walked in they put on 'booties' to protect my floors from the rainy debris outside. That was my first pleasant surprise since I was already excepting to have to clean the floors after they left. I told them what was going on, showed them a video of the noise the heat pump was making and they both looked at each other. In my head I thought, oh that can't be good. To my 2nd surprise they told me that noise was perfectly normal. It was the unit defrosting its coils and that they get this type of call all the time in winter. A less honest contractor would have gone outside, tinkered with it and told me I needed hundreds of dollars of work that I didn't need. They explained to me that the unit would steam up and then turn back on and continue heating. We tested it and sure enough it did exactly that. My last surprise was that they didn't charge me a trip charge ($80). Afterwards I was left with the feeling that this company truly is "Honest" no bs and will definitely be contacting them to do the cleaning of the coils before the summer hits without any hesitation! read more

I called to have them install my friends nest thermostat. I knew there was a possibility of needing to wire run and didn't know the price. I called another place and they wanted to charge just to come down take a look to give me a quote and then apply that as a credit to the final bill and these guy didn't. I saw their ratings and reviews here so gave them a chance. Here are the things I liked: -Spoke with me on the phone and was honest about the cost and repair scenario from easiest to worst -He offered to stay and fully program the thermostat and even tho I thought it wasn't necessary -Quoted price was higher than we talked about but he found a way to make it work -Without being pushy he politely and informatively made me aware of the age and potential issues of the current ac unit -I asked about repair to replacement scenarios and he fully broke it down from a general cost and timeline perspective. I can't say enough about this company and how they are living up to their name. I have a mini split air conditioner and it had not been cleaned since the we moved into the house about 4+ years ago so I called a company to come do a rejuvenation on the machine and after it was cleaned it stopped working within 5 hours. Called back that company and they sent someone out to inspect and they tried to charge me over $800 to check a system for a leak that they might have caused. After having a spirited debate on who should cover it the A?C guy finally agreed to cover the costs only after i mentioned needing to replace this unit within a year. When he tested it turns out they did cause an leak. After coming back the next day to fix it the unit know made a noise starting up and would leak water out of the unit at the rate of about a gallon and hour I was done with that company. I called multiple other company and one stated they would be out on Saturday, and then Monday, and then nothing as they never showed up. Called Honest on a Tuesday Night and got an immediate response within an hour and then had a technician at the door the next morning. Looked at the unit and fixed it and just charged me the visit fee because of how quick the fix was. Also talked about how to meet my A/C and let me know not to do some thing because it would just be a waste of money. How Honest can you get? This company more than lives up to it's name and they have earned my business for the other A/C units I have in the house. read more

Honest, prompt and professional in a niche industry where most companies try and scam you. This is not the case here. Lance did a great job and thoroughly cleaned 14 vents and 1 return. He adjusted each one for best airflow into each room. My wife was able to tell the kitchen felt much cooler! Lance also said some vents were upside-down and he put them back the correct way. I chose this company due to the Yelp reviews and I am glad I did. It has been a week now since i had my air ducts cleaned. I am very happy I did it and the service provided by Honest Air Duct Cleaning was as advertised, honest. Pricing was excellent and outlined up front-no surprises. I also opted to have them clean my dryer vent which hadn't been done in about 2 years and man was it clogged. The technician, Lance, arrived on time. They gave me an 11am -2pm window and he showed up around 11:10 am. Very professional and he even helped me out with my air vents not being opened all the way, now they are, which has resulted in way better air flow in my house. I have noticed a difference with the dust not accumulating as much and way clearer breathing, especially when waking up in the morning. Another contractor another Yelp find. This was one of my first "to do's" when getting our new place since my wife and I both have bad allergies and since it was previously a rental, who knows when the last time the air filter was cleaned out. The guy who came out (sorry forgot his name, I think he was the owners brother though) was very friendly was able to work around all the construction projects we had going on around the house and the lack of working electrical outlets. He took off all the vents and washed them down too and pointed out some vents had mold on them. He was able to wash them off, put a treatment on it to prevent mold growth and gave us some tips on air duct maintenance. I also found out our air vents are over 55 years old so if we wanted to get newer modern ones, they wouldn't fit on the ducts, good stuff I wouldn't have known. Anyway I know I'll feel much more comfortable in the house knowing our ducts were professionally cleaned by some of the best in the valley and we're not getting ripped off by the big companies. read more

My heroes. I just spent three horrible days trying to get my heat pump working using Shafer and Sons Co. Bad diagnosis', dishonest owner, costly charges for unneeded parts, and freon, no show for promised repair visits....on and on. I called Honest Air on SUNDAY. Eric came out a couple hours later for their customary $59.95 dianosis charge, waived if repaired by them. Problem was a problem in the thermostat wiring. Wow! I was very impressed with how the technician (unfortunately don't remember his name) handled my situation. I hired them based on their great reviews and here I am, leaving one myself. :) I needed dryer vent cleaning only and got a quote from the office for that service only. There was some miscommunication between the office and the tech and when he came in he cleaned the air ducts as well. (it was at a rental property so I didn't know about it till after the fact). When he called me for payment and gave me a higher amount I explained to him that I only needed the dryer vent cleaned. He immediately said that he'd only charge me the quoted amount and that I got my air ducts cleaned for free. No arguments, no trying to get more money out of me!
