The og honey berry french toast was out of this world. i don't think i've ever had french toast as delicious as this places. the berry compote is so flavorful and the fresh fruit such ties the entire dish together 10/10. the omelette was also really good but it's just an omelette but it was massive. All the dishes that my group received were very large portions and we all had left overs which was good bc the french toast and the omelette hit later that night too! the brunch spot was packed but we didn't have much of a waiting time so the waitstaff are very efficient! overall the food was great and the waitstaff and environment was a lovely way to end my stay in chicago. read more

my friends and i went here today to get some quick breakfast and the service was not the best. We had Vanessa as our server. She probably spoke and came up to us twice in the time we were there. We had to wait at-least 20 minutes for her to finally come up again and get us a check. She tells us shes getting the check and disappears for another 15 minutes. Coming from someone that's been working in food service for a while, it's not that that hard to get us a check and check us out. We had places to be and i asked another server walking by us for our check and i told her we've been waiting for a while and she just walked away. We understand she had tables but we're also one of her tables as well and we were not getting service everyone else was receiving. I loved this place. My food was delicious it hit all the notes . Excellent fries, really nice smooth coffee . The monte cristo had ham Turkey raspberry jam on two thick slices of French bread with some delicious raspberry sauce . Had an excellent balance of a little salt sweet and tart from the raspberry .French bread was crispy on the outside and nice and pillowy on the inside. Frys I think had a nice batter on it which gave a great flavor and crispy bite to it. My friends Benedict was great. That serve this delicious full bodied coffee that's very alkaline so it's very smooth and velvety on your tongue. Was opened in July and very clean , excellent service. Upon arrival, you are greeted at the door with a host. it's was almost a full house but I was able to get seated right away at a party of one. Immediately was greeted by my server with a friendly smile and a menu and a cup of water. She asked if I wanted to start off with anything to drink and since it was still morning. Coffee is my go to. I like that the menu offers a wide selection but not overwhelming. For instance like many breakfast cafe's, you have a choice between savory or sweet. Each "category" has just about 6 options or so to choose from. The corned beef egg Benedict was amazing! the muffins weren't dry and the sauce had a really good flavor. Corned beef was cooked to a nice sear which I love. I was pretty hungry and the fruit added a lighter yet touch of sweetness to the meal. The server was consistent with delivery and friendly. She approached one me with a refill of coffee just before the food was delivered which may I add was delivered in a good time frame. The server sat the coffee kettle at my table. Firstly, let me say the food quality and preparation was very good and no one in our party had any complaints. However, our party was the problem. We were a group of 7 and Honey Berry IS NOT EQUIPPED TO DEAL WITH LARGER PARTIES. They don't take reservations and the rely on a call ahead system to seat their customers. Unfortunately call ahead does not work well with larger groups. Maybe what I should say is their staff doesn't know how to use call ahead to manipulate their seating to accommodate larger groups. I called in a half hour before our scheduled arrival and arrived early enough to let them know we had arrived. From my arrival point, they were unable to seat us for the next hour. If it was just me, I would have left. But I had my family there and we were forced to suffer the poor seating process. While getting to the table was my major dissatisfaction, the server was also unprepared for her job. She was either inexperienced or she was unmotivated and disinterested. Four of us ordered coffee and a small pot and four cups were left at the end of the table. None of us even realized that the coffee had been delivered. When we called her to the table to inquire about the coffee, she silently pointed to the four cups. Not one word from her mouth. We went to a different restaurant this week and we discussed our last week's Honey Berry experience. The vote was unanimous on a ten point scale. .Being seated: zero! Table service: zero! Ambiance: pleasant, but a little on the noisy side. Let!s give ambiance a 7, since they were busy. Food preparation: 9-10! What a way to ruin a nice meal. read more

Hubby said he wanted breakfast food after his appointment at Accession Hoffman Estates. I Yelped breakfast and this place came up. Reviews looked good and there was no wait, so we came here. The dining room is good size and there was even outdoor seating. Their menu is extensive both breakfast and lunch options. Hubby tried the Berry Blast smoothie, which was very tart. All three of us really liked it. Hubby had an omelette; GINORMOUS and he got the regular pancakes as the side. I got the Mile High Skillet. Also ginormous and delicious. For my side I ordered the Oreo Madness pancakes; FIVE actual Oreo cookies came on top! I also appreciated the B&BW wallflower in the ladies restroom. I had the Veggie Skillet and it (I don't exaggerate) could have served three or four of us. Giant, very fresh, sell cooked and excellent flavor. Another two had omelets that looked like they were about 6 eggs, again well over a serving. And one other had Brioche French Toast and could eat less than half of that serving. Ambience was very modern, clean and open. My main complaint, however, is the fact that this establishment has ZERO CHANGING TABLES for babies, which for a restaurant, should be mandatory to operate. Stopped in today before Christmas shopping. Restaurant was busy. Our server, I believe her name was Rachel quickly greeted us and brought menus and took our drink order. Today was my first time eating here. It did not disappoint. The corned beef hash skillet was huge! The eggs were poached perfectly and it came with 2 big pancakes as well. Finally after half an hour wait we got seated which I understood since they had two big parties normal when you sign onto the line your in at the time they tell you. My son had red velvet pancakes and they looked pretty and tasted amazing with the milk chocolate chips and white chocolate chips and cream cheese glaze. My other son got a monte cristo and it was huge he ate half of half the sandwich and I ate the other little piece it was good it was lacking a flavor but I think it was that I forgot to put syrup on it. I got build your own omelette just bacon, sausage and mozzarella cheese again huge portion two can eat from this and I eat a lot. The place is very loud since it's always packed. I had to pick up my order at Sephora so decided to try a new place for breakfast! We walked in to a 20 min wait but were able to sit at the bar right away. So we did. To our pleasant surprise, they had mimosas! The make amazing mimosas. A lot of restaurants put so much OJ in their mimosas that it is barely a mimosas. Since we sat at the bar, we were able to see the bartender make them and she did a great job! The menu was big! Lots of delicious items to choose from. I ordered biscuits and gravy and my husband had the breakfast sliders. The cool thing about the breakfast sliders was you were able to get different meat choice on each slider. We loved both! The meals are very large also. Enough for 2 people to share one item. You will definitely have leftovers for home. When we got the bill it was under 40 dollars! Another plus to the visit! The service here isnt good at all, out waiter was super rude. The atmosphere is really loud which may of contributed to it- we were in a rush and asked if we could order which she ignored. She ignored others at our table as well- drop food off and immediately leave or pour coffee and immediately leave- which makes sense for a busy atmosphere but you would at least expect nice attitude. The food was alright- some was really good like the key lime pancakes but some of it isnt good at all. The red velvet pancakes taste really off like shortening or like someone used a dirty spoon to mix the batter. We've come here a few times and it was always delicious. This last time, we went a little later. My omelette was wrong, it contained ham instead of bacon, and there was only one type of mushroom in the omelette that is listed on the menu as containing 3 kinds of mushrooms. My replacement omelet wasn't much better. If they were out of mushrooms, they needed to have told me, and I would have ordered something else.
