bouncers and security is ABSOLUTELY terrible, aggressive, and violent. I was with my mother, my sister, her boyfriend , and my friend inside of honey when a man was continuously harassing my mother after her telling him she is not interested . I guess he was affiliated with the security working at the time because after being told no, he went and got security. It is then when they started to assault my mother, pushing her pulling on her hair .That is when my sister saw grown men being violent with our mother and pushed one off of her .It is then when a GROWN ASS MAN who is staff of this establishment body slammed her to the floor .Her boyfriend saw these men pulling hair ,shoving , and practically beating my mother and sister up , and he stepped in to protect them . It gets worse. As he's pulling grown men off my 22 year old sister he gets hit and basically jumped by this group of grown up bullies , the SECURITY GUARDS that get payed to be there. He is now left with a black eye and needing stitches above the eyebrow .Me and my friend were on the other side of the bar being held back after they had dragged our family outside .This is absolutely unacceptable for any establishment to use this amount of force on a paying customer ,ESPECIALLY WOMEN. We were harassed ,assaulted , and then embarrassed by employees. Honey is an absolute shit show , just by reading reviews i can see this is an ongoing issue with aggressive security . What i can also see is David , the manager of this lovely establishment doesn't do shit about the treatment of his customers , every review that was about this same problem was replied to with some short apology and an idiotic excuse. We're not from florida so i don't know how yall handle things around here but where im from we don't play that ! Grown men dragging WOMEN by hair, putting women in chokeholds Like who does that . So if i got anything from being at honey is was that this is a mediocre "club" , who has barbaric employees those who are supposed to make us feel safe and welcomed , and a lazy manager and owner who let employees beat up women and get away with it . i love florida tho ! read more

What a scummy POS venue. Lets start with the service - the female bartenders spend more time on their cell phones texting than they do taking care of the bar clients. You can never get their attention and then you can never get your credit card back even when you tell them you don't want to run a tab. We spent a few late hours there 2 Saturday's ago. Friendly crowd, nice people in the bar. After spending over $100 on drinks, which were well poured, no complaints. My girl and I were in the front corner, laughing, drinking, making out a bit and one of the midget bouncers came over to us and we were told we had to leave. This was at about 1:20am. He said SOMEONE complained that we were doing blow in the corner we were standing. Now I have to tell you, I am 20 years past doing drugs. I told him we weren't snorting coke, I haven't done it in 20 years and asked the mental midget in front of me who accused us of doing blow. He mumbled something unintelligible as only a bouncer with a high school education can and said again that we must leave. After a few stiff drinks I did get pissed and told him to get the 2 cops that were outside the window by us and have them come in and frisk me and have me empty my pockets and find the blow and the vial. He wouldn't do it. Mr. retardo bouncer was baffled and asked us to leave again. Realizing this was a no win situation we took the high road and left. So, if you want to go out and enjoy yourself, get shit bar service, get hassled by the bouncers and have them wreck a perfectly good evening for you - go to Honey. AGGRESSIVE AND ABUSIVE MANAGEMENT. I've been to Honey a handful of times and never had an issue. The music is decent and there is usually a good vibe. Last night a man, 6'2" African American pierced ears, who is supposedly a part of the establishments management, proceeded to make inappropriate and sexual comments about my friend and when he was calmly told not to continue, he physically shoved and threw us out the door. He picked my friend up by her arms and threw her across the threshold, multiple people witnessed her hitting the ground this man then ran back inside the establishment to hide.... I understand his "right" if he is truly with the establishment to remove people from the property however I am not sure in what world it is okay to use physical harm against young women because you are asked to stop harassing them. I love the 80s and this place does these awesome 80s nights where they bring in old school artists to perform a few hits. It's definitely cool and sometimes amusing to see how some of these artists have aged...some not so well haha. Anyway the ambience is super hip and the specialty drinks are a little pricey but very good. The bar staff is super friendly, especially the big guy that always works in the back bar. He always greets us with a big smile. Anyway, If you haven't been there yet, definitely check it out. read more

Save your cash! The old 'Delux' concept was much better, all they did was remodel, change the name, and raise up all the prices. The new gimmick is geared for older professionals to spend $15 on overpriced drinks! The place is not even fun anymore and is just posing as a wannabe South Beach type-club. Great place to go on a Friday and Saturday. The bouncers are very cool, no ego or drama. The music is great, they play well known commercial stuff. The bathrooms are completely dirty and disgusting. The line for the womens bathroom took for ever and once you are finally inside, the foul stinch of fish and diarrhea is wafting in the air. Gag. Honey has a great atmosphere for a casual happy hour or night out on Atlantic Ave. The drinks and food are reasonably priced and very tasty. Honey is also in a great location right in the center of the hottest spots on the Ave. Honey is by far one of my favorite places to go for any occasion. read more

The bartenders try to make you open a tab and "forget" to give you your card back, even after asking multiple times. The drinks are overpriced at $14 per cocktail with mostly ice, fruit and juice and hardly any alcohol. read more
