True dive bar behind Hawkers ( an upmarket street style Asian food place) Two areas. One air conditioned with bar and stage with frequent performances including amateurs. No beer on tap but heavy bud choices. You can get Stella at least and limited cocktails. Prices and atmosphere for this type of place good. Service friendly if brusque. Older people during the day and I assume much younger crowd later. This place has been here for over 20 years so must be good in its market. The good or bad is that it is hidden around the back of the building on the Main Street so unless you see crowds waiting to get in or know where to look you will not spot it. read more

Be warned: if you don't leave a tip, you may be physically attacked. I chose not to tip a bartender who was extremely rude to me. In response, she cursed me out, and security asked me to leave. I complied without issue. However, as I was outside, a barback who works for Hurricanes approached me and shoved me from behind. I reacted instinctively and shoved him back. He walked away after that. I then sat down on a curb outside the property, waiting for my friends to finish their drinks. While I was looking at my phone, I suddenly heard footsteps in front of me. It was the same barback--he kicked me in the face and punched me around 10 times in the head. I immediately called the police. They investigated and confirmed the entire incident was caught on video. However, three employees who witnessed the attack refused to cooperate or speak with the officers. Despite the evidence and witness presence, the owner and manager of the establishment have shown no concern for public safety. They've chosen to protect an employee who physically assaulted a customer rather than take accountability. I'm incredibly disappointed in the management. It's disturbing to think this may not be the first time this particular employee has attacked someone. I hope others take this seriously before someone gets hurt even worse. read more

If I have ever seen so many heads turn when walking in the door, I would have never admitted it. My friends and I happened to open the back door off the parking lot to venture inside to have a drink as we were early for our reservation at a place close by. We were dressed nicely but not in formal wear as the looks from the locals on the stools would make us feel. The fill-in bartender asked us where we were from as if we were from out of town. When we said Boynton Beach, the heads turned away and the locals were no longer interested in us. We grabbed 4 barstools as the place was pretty empty which is surprising for a Saturday early evening because this place is ready cool. Great bar selection and very decent prices. Even has happy hour pricing on the weekends until 7pm. I want to go back but this next time I will feel like I fit in better because I will dress comfortably in shorts and a Tshirt. read more

I'm giving it a four because it's a fun little dive behind Atlantic, nestled between an alley way and 7th Avenue. I was going on a little bar crawl with some friends, and we decided to stop here at 11 or 12 or whatever time it was on a Friday evening. They had some cool bar band playing some covers while we danced on the floor, beers and hand, keeping it real. I feel this is a good spot to keep it real at. I applaud their realness here. Very important to keep it real here. And they do keep it real here, and the bands keep it real here. The bartenders keep it real. In fact, I didn't see anyone not keep it real there, so this was a major plus for me... Realness. They have an inside bar where the band stage is located and a tiki-styled bar technically outside -- but the latter is covered by a canopy or roof of some sort of roof, so if it rains, you can stay put and drink and not run back inside like a pack stampeding bulls. I was pleasantly intoxicated when I was here but I applaud them. I'm sure I'll be back when I'm embarking on another bar crawl with my hommies and hommie g wilakers, posse people, and other types of dudes, dudettes, bros, sistas, and aardvarks named Sue. read more

Excellent locals spot for music and watching sports. They always have good bands playing on the weekend around 9 or 10pm. It's a younger crowd and mostly a locals spot. Some of my friends really love this bar. It's fairly hidden, a real locals dive. There's an indoor and outdoor, and I think my friends like it here because of the live music. There isn't food here, but there's food elsewhere on The Ave including Mellow Mushroom right next door if you're hungry. We came in during happy hour with a very large group. The bartender was clearly caught off guard, and she showed it. She gave a bit of a flustered attitude but we didn't do anything wrong. I ordered a Corona and realized I was the only one who didn't get a happy hour deal. I didn't know until after that I guess it was only good for domestics and well drinks. So when searching for a bar just to get a drink we found this one. They didn't have any hors d'oeuvres or snacks which I think they should've at least had snacks so people wouldn't get drunk ha ha. My husband and I were lucky enough to arrive at happy hour so it was two for one. So we had Jen and tonics and they were OK. The music was kind of loud and a lot of people were talking so unless you're really into the bar scene might not be for you. Local dive bar hidden off the main Downtown Delray's Atlantic Ave. They have an outdoor area, and the indoor area has a dart board. Great bartenders and it's a super laid back atmosphere. Great way to end the night bar hopping in Delray. They have love music on certain days and it can get quite crowded at times. You have to be a certain kind of person to enjoy this certain kind of place. By certain kind of person I mean d****ebag and by certain kind of place I mean a place that does not care about customer service whatsoever. I'm used to my id being looked at for five minutes and then having the guy pulling out his flashlight and looking at it for 5 more minutes but I have never had anyone belittle me and be a d**k about me looking young. However, as my friend and I sat at the bar (after already having been id'd by the bouncer) the bartender decided she needed to see our ids again. Then someone else was called over so they could together ridicule our ids asking "where is the height on here" which I took as a jab to my being 4'10. I'm sorry that my milky white skin shines with youthful radiance and has not been charred and shriveled by years of fake-baking like everyone else in the place. The sun's effects made it hard to judge ages but I would say this bar draws an older crowd. Also, if you were excited to learn that this bar has live music then STOP, STOP RIGHT NOW. I didn't know such horrible cover bands existed. I've been there twice and the first time the bands' members all sounded like they were playing a different song. I'll admit I will give the second band a little more credit because they didn't sound that bad considering their lead singer was A HUNDRED YEARS OLD. Local divey bar, with indoor and an outdoor covered space located off a small driveway that is easy to miss off Atlantic. The drinks are reasonably priced and they don't charge a cover when bands are performing. The quality of the cover bands can vary--we went late on a Friday night and ended up back there Saturday night. The band on Friday night had a good set list, but the band on Saturday night had much better musicians. There is a dart board and a photo booth machine on the wall past the stage. The crowd also varied each night we were there. Friday was more crowded than Saturday. Staff is friendly enough, some of the patrons left something to be desired. read more

Thursdays are ladies night- ladies drink free wine and well drinks but be careful, that house Chardonnay will give you a nasty hangover. They have darts, which is fun, and an indoor and outdoor area.
