Lines here are unbelievably long basically all day long. I've been here a few times and it's been hit or miss. The busier it gets, the less consistent the drinks get and there is zero urgency from the staff regardless to the customers. Baked goods are excellent, the matcha is elite it's just a mission to get it.

A very high in demand coffee/matcha spot & I completely understand why. They had a pretty long line but it went by quick! I enjoyed the Strawberry Matcha in Pistachio Milk and their honey foam, delish!!! The blueberry scone was also very tasty. Ambiance is modern but comfortable. With plenty of areas to sit both inside and outside. I would definitely be back if I'm in the area :)

I was quite disappointed with my visit to be honest. I was excited to check out after seeing their advertisement collab with my favorite brand Kulani Kinis plus I've been on a matcha kick. I got the KK special but it didn't come with the scrunchie or sleeve like advertised. Plus it took 15 minutes to get my drink and it was chaotic. The drink was very bitter and she messed up with doing a regular foam instead of the strawberry foam. I would have rather had her make a new drink than watch her scrape it off into the trash. Overall disappointed and not sure if I'll return. The cinnamon was at least good.

I have tried Honey veil time and time again because so many people rave about it, but personally I am not that big of a fan. I love the back story behind the founding of this place, but have found the product in my experience to be a little lack luster each time I come. I tried their Lavendar honey matcha today. I have been on a Lavendar matcha kick and wanted to try their spin when I saw it was on their summer menu. And in my opinion, I could barely taste the syrup at all. It mainly tasted like earthy matcha. Not necessarily a bad thing if you really like matcha in it of itself, but I was really disappointed that I couldn't taste any of the flavoring. Additionally, I saw their pastries and thought that they were a little lackluster. Some of them looked like they had been sitting out for awhile. Some did look pretty fresh, but it really depends on what you order. Additionally I think the price is a little expensive for me to want to pay for a product I am not completely happy with. While I know a lot of the reviews for here have been extremely positive, I have a hard time finding the appeal. Realistically I don't think I will be coming back here unless the syrup to matcha ratio is adjusted a little bit. Maybe this type of matcha is perfect for someone else, but it's not really my speed.

Holy smokes, the hype is real! I have been speculating wether to come here or not based on the long lines and controversial opinions but can truly say any hate this place has gotten comes fully from natural controversy caused by such an exhilarating success, because the matcha speaks for itself, and it is ADDICTIVE! I got a matcha latte with maple brown syrup & the honey whip on top and truly I can't find a single negative thing to say about it. The texture is yummy, the color is perfect, the sweetness is leveled, and the flavor is truly addictive. You can tell they have nailed down their recipes so well for the amount of matcha they are hashing out on a daily to still have this high a quality. Although the place is honestly full to the rim constantly (I stayed working from my laptop for a couple hours and the line NEVER went down) everyone is very friendly and the staff know how to manage such a big crowd with ease and success. The iconic blue branding is a delight to be around and I can't wait till I'm back for more!

Finally had honeyveil for the first time and it did not disappoint. The interior was big and crowded, but service was not too long. I've had experience of waiting 45 min to place an order but luckily this wasn't one of them! The matcha was definitely a must get. I got the seasonal flavor which was the lavender matcha. I personally was not a big fan of the honey whip because it would flatten my straw since it was rather thick and reminds me of a marshmallow fluff/meringue topping and overly sweet but definitely have the honey flavor. I did enjoy the matcha actually having the lavender flavor. I also had the sour dough cinnamon roll which I thought was quite small for the price and probably was cool by the time I received it but I definitely understand why it's a best seller. I would recommend the grilled cheese with all the toppings listed on the menu because it was a had a v long cheese pull. The avocado toast was okay, nothing quite special about it. I would definitely return to try the banana bread matcha because I heard there's bits of banana in it.

I love honey veil! The service is wonderful. The line is always out the door. I love the blue tile decor in here. I ordered the Miso Caramel Iced latte with the honey whip and almond milk. It was absolutely AMAZING! It came with 2 espresso shots. I also ordered a freshly baked cinnamon roll. It was so soft and yummy. This was my second time here. I have consistently had a 10/10 experience! Can't wait to come back.

Triple Banana threat: bread, latte, and matcha... their must famous items. The honeyveil signature veil is the cherry on the top

First you might think they're giving away items for free because of the long line outside the shop. Then you might assume it's just another overhyped Instagram viral sensation. But the reality is that Honeyveil is just as smooth and tasty as their signature whipped topping. What really stood out to me on this visit was the service. Even with a constant line moving through the door, Juliana at the cashier was incredibly patient and accurate with every order. She took the time to make sure everything was right, keeping the line moving without ever rushing customers. That kind of attention in a busy spot is not easy to pull off. Then Sarah took over the magic behind the counter, carefully adding all the toppings we requested. She was meticulous about the proportions, making sure the flavors didn't overpower each other and stayed consistent with Honeyveil's signature recipes. You can tell the team really cares about what they're serving. Actually, the whole crew brings great energy. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and clearly working hard. It's refreshing to see a new generation that's motivated, eager to learn, and proud of what they're building. Another cool part of the experience is learning the story behind the brand. Honeyveil was created by Regina and Cecilia, two passionate dreamers who started with their own truck and eventually took over the former Spritz Pizzeria spot in the SOMI square (which many say was one of the first in Miami). This family business, spearheaded by their mom Cecilia, is proof that when you truly believe in your formula and work hard as a team, success follows. The space itself has become a great hangout and networking spot for UM students, who seem to be their number one fans. And honestly, I can't blame them, I walked in curious and walked out feeling like one of their biggest supporters. On this visit I went all-in on banana bread everything: * Banana Bread Matcha * Banana Bread Coffee * A slice of their Banana Bread Loaf This triple banana combo might officially be my new benchmark when trying banana bread drinks anywhere else. Their banana bread stays classy and true to the original recipe, no unnecessary tricks, just great flavor. And of course, you can't skip the Honeyveil signature whip. Even though it looks rich, it's made with natural honey yogurt, which adds incredible texture and flavor without feeling heavy. It's honestly an addictive formula that keeps bringing "Honeyveilers" back for more. If you're craving something savory, I strongly recommend the grilled cheese with bacon jam. That touch of bacon jam adds a memorable finish that elevates the classic grilled cheese in the best way. Between the thoughtful service, the family story behind the brand, and the addictive drinks, Honeyveil has definitely earned the hype. And yes... I'll be more than happy back in that line as it is worth every bite and sip

Latte with signature honey whipped and their toasted focaccia capresa.
    Graciela L.

I finally stopped by Honey Veil and had to try their latte with the famous whip, everyone talks about and it absolutely lived up to all the buzz around it. The coffee itself is smooth, but that signature whipped honey foam really takes it to another level. It makes every sip creamier, softer, and just slightly sweet with that delicate honey touch that they're known for. Honestly, their whip should probably be patented, it pairs so well with the cappuccino that you end up slowing down just to enjoy each sip with pastry or sandwich of your choice. To go with it, I ordered a toasted focaccia with caprese filling and balsamic dressing. It came out perfectly toasted, fresh, and packed with flavor. The cheese was warm and melty, the tomato tasted bright and fresh, and the balsamic gave the italian flavor I was expecting for. One of those simple combinations that just works and gets better with every bite. The ambiance is lively and definitely leans toward a younger crowd, which actually adds to the charm of the place, you kind of feel younger just being there. It's relaxed, social, and a nice spot to hang out for a bit instead of rushing your coffee, even thought I have to admit it gets pretty packed so it can be tough to work around or even to find a table and relax. Price-wise it's pretty standard for a coffee shop these days, so if you're going to spend it anyway, you might as well spend it here, support a local spot, enjoy organic, high-quality ingredients while you're at it, and being served by lovely girls that go through all the rush carrying a smile. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

I have been seeing this place all over Instagram. So I decided to drive on down and see what all the hype was about. It's on a street where you have to pay for parking. Even on a weekday it was quite busy. I decided to try the banana bread Matcha latte and ask the young lady at the register if they had any savory/non-sweet pastries. She recommended a chocolate chip cookie or the blueberry scone. Not sure how either would be savory but, I decided to try the blueberry scone. I would say it did take a while for me to receive my items because like I said it was busy. I paid for 30 minutes of parking and had two minutes left before it expired when I received everything. The blueberry scone I did find to be very good. The only sweetness it had was the drizzle on top. That's definitely something I would order again the banana bread Matcha latte I got with their pistachio milk. I thought it was OK. It did taste like banana bread. They put their infamous Honey whip on top, which is a little thick. It doesn't really break down in your drink so most of it was left at the bottom of my cup when I finished. If I'm in the area, I would definitely swing in to try something else maybe a strawberry Matcha in the future, but this was really far from me.

I visited Honey Veil, a charming corner spot in South Miami that is clearly created with great taste and intention. The place was absolutely full the entire time I was there. I spent about an hour enjoying my matcha, and there was a constant flow of people coming in and out. The line would get shorter and then fill up again within minutes, which says a lot about how popular it is. The crowd was mostly young adults (around 18 to mid-30s), giving the space a vibrant, energetic atmosphere. One of the highlights was being attended by the owner herself, Ceci, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. That personal touch makes a big difference. The ceremonial matcha was excellent, high quality, smooth, and beautifully prepared. The ambiance is very pleasant, with nice music, spotless cleanliness, and an overall cozy yet stylish vibe that makes you want to stay. I didn't try the pastries this time, but they looked amazing, and you could immediately tell the bread quality was exceptional just by appearance and presentation. It's definitely a place I will return to. Highly recommended if you enjoy good matcha, a lively atmosphere, and a thoughtfully designed space.

Can't recommend Honey Veil enough. All of the staff is amazing but Pao is always so sweet! Since I visit here quite often, she's remembered my favorite menu items. This place is always packed and playing great music. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and they have the cutest merchandise for Valentine's Day.

I am a BIG fan of matcha . Honey veil matcha is the best matcha in Miami. I have been waiting for opening for months. 8 had went 3 times but there was a line outside . I went in on Friday at 8 am and got lucky with no line. The cafe vibe is modern. I got the honey veil matcha, a cinnamon roll, and a cookie. I loved the vibe . I am so happy they now have a physical permanent location. Highly recommend ! A great cafe that is family owned. Yummy treats made with love. Decently priced.

When we walked in, about four employees stared at us while we were visibly confused about whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. The response I got was simply, "Yes." ...Yes what? I had to ask again before being told we could seat ourselves, but that the kitchen would be closing in 30 minutes. Totally understandable, and we reassured them we only needed a couple minutes to look at the menu. Once seated, our server again reminded us the kitchen was closing soon, which felt a little rushed considering we were ready to order almost immediately. Then when asking whether the breakfast sandwich or the truffle egg bun was better, the response was, "I fu*k with the breakfast sandwich." Honestly, it caught me off guard a bit. The overall service throughout felt awkward, rushed, and not very polished or welcoming. We decided to go with the breakfast sandwich, and then he asked if we wanted a side salad or potatoes.
