I heard so much about this place on social media I had to check it out myself! It was definitely work the drive from Fort Lauderdale. The parking is close by the area is gorgeous and the vibes inside are amazing! I was helped by Gabriel and he was great! I came after the busy rush at 2:15pm and it was the perfect time. Not too loud but the music is bumping! I had the corn milk matcha, the egg soldiers, and the sourdough French toast. Very cute and aesthetic coffee shop, service was good but slow. Coffees were strong and smooth, nice presentation. The eggs and sausage toast was okay. The eggs were flavorful, and the toast had a chilly oil spread on it which added a nice zing and acidity to balance the fatty of the sausage. However, the bread was sliced very thick which made it impossible to eat without having to use silverware, and even then crust was extremely hard. I think this place may be overhyped. Upon entering, it was packed. Every seat taken, and a huge line. I felt like I had to hover over people to claim a spot. I ordered the tiramisu latte and my friend ordered the corn flake matcha. The latte wasn't too bad, probably could use more coffee. The matcha was honestly not good. There must have been like 3oz of matcha and the rest was ice and cereal. I also noticed the to go cups are almost double the size of the cups given when eating in. There are places I love and intend to go back to and it never works out. Facade is the exception to that rule! I've gone twice in three weeks and am already planning on going back a third time. The cornflake matcha is a must try as is the tiramisu latte. The cardamom bun is fantastic but the real stand out to me was their corn cake which is elevated by crème fraiche. Facade is the epitome of a cozy breakfast/brunch cafe with out-of-the-ordinary elevated plates and vibes. Although they don't allow laptops, the thing about this place that encourages you to connect the most is how unexpectedly delicious their simple breakfast plates are. From their steak and eggs, to their traditional sausage egg and cheese sandwich that tastes not at all traditional, their food and ambiance is some of the most eloquent of the cafe scene in Miami. Aside of the food plates, which I have yet to try one I don't like, the drink variety is incredible and their matcha and coffees are made with a lot of care. They also have a very unique corn milk latte which as strange as it sounds I would recommend to get you out of your comfort zone. The food is delicious but the place deserves some love in terms of cleanliness (both inside and outside). They don't clean regularly enough after each consumer leaves so the tables are often dirty and floors as well. It was so bad that I even felt uncomfortable sitting outside. It's very rare that I visit the same place twice while on vacation but I could not get over their corn flake matcha. It was SO delicious. The corn milk worked great with their quality matcha and I LOVE a crunch so the corn flakes were my favorite part. I also got a cardamom bun that was bursting with flavor. I LOVE that Facade bakery advocates for no tablets, no WiFi and no laptops! Just a fair warning not to come to this coffee shop thinking you're going to get any computer work done since you're not allowed. I brought my kindle though and asked if it was okay to read and they said yes. I ordered the iced latte with almond milk and it was fantastic. I love that they use glassware, it truly alters the taste of the coffee for the better. It was flavorful, fresh and cold. In addition, I ordered the breakfast sandwich with added avocado. The bread was doughy & fluffy. There was SO much flavor in this sandwich, I polished off the entire thing before my workout. It was awesome. With every bite I could taste the freshness. The vibe is relaxing and calm. I love the marble finish of the countertop. Beautiful interior design. There is street parking all along the street outside of Facade. We really love coming to this bakery, we've been a few times now. The pastries are really delicious and the dishes are nice as well, some of the bread slices are humongous, though, I really think they need to reduce the size of the slice because it's kind of overwhelming to have a bite that big. Also, the prices are definitely on the high side, I'm surprised that some of the pastries are 8 to 9 dollars and some of the dishes are over $20. Still, this place deserves good reviews given the good quality of food however, it's definitely a splurge to come here! We felt like we deserved a good meal and neither of us had been to Facade yet. Well, it was spectacular. The service was fast. They don't play about their employees. Went to Facade on a Saturday and while the line was long, it moved fairly quickly. The seating is limited so make sure to keep an eye out for any open seats. Don't be one of those people that steals a table when you have 30 people in front of you. By the time you get to the cashier, someone is bound to be finishing. Food was great we shared a ham and cheese croissant, mushroom and eggs, and sausage and egg toast. The mushroom and eggs was the star. I don't like mushrooms but the cream sauce was the best thing we ate. Croissant as well and the sausage toast was delicious but if you have to get one thing get the mushroom. We got two coffees and both hit the spot as well. Took a star off because of the price. Maybe it's me but I spent about $80 on two coffees, two egg dishes, and a croissant. I had heard about Facade Bakery and finally made my way here for the perfect Saturday morning coffee and yap session with my girlfriend. We got there around 11:45 on a Saturday and it was bustling. The bakery is located on Giralda in that building that also houses the WeWork across from Bank of America. It has indoor and outdoor seating and the natural light from the huge windows is dreamy. They offer breakfast and lunch options, and everything sounded so good from the menu. I opted for a Sausage and Egg toast while my friend got the avocado toast. I also got a cappuccino with oat milk. I loved both. While it can appear super busy when you wait in line to order and then find a seat, I found that we were able to find a spot at the communal table when we finished ordering. It has this homey feel, it's lively, it's cozy and it just gets you in a good mood. :) As for the food -- think top notch, high quality ingredients (who doesn't love that?!) amazing creations, and creative baked goods that'll have you wanting to try one of each. My favorite is the cookie, as a cookie connoisseur, it's on my top 5 cookie list. Their croissants are to die for, and their loafs -- but honestly you can't go wrong with anything here! This was a cute little spot in coral gables. There's such great food options to chose from. I enjoyed the façade morning sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. It had cheese, eggs, FC sauce and I added bacon to it. It was served on a brioche bun that was so soft and sweet, it was incredible. My friend ordered an avocado toast, the presentation was beautiful. She really enjoyed it, she said it was very flavorful. I really came for the corn milk latte, because I had heard that it was the best coffee on the menu but it wasn't my favorite. At first it tasted good but it has an odd after taste. They'll make coffee any way you like it, and they have alternative milk for the intolerant. I had a Cuban style Cortado with regular milk that was great. The pastries were exceptional. I tried the cinnamon roll, the pan de sucre, and the ham and cheese croissant. They warmed them up. The cinnamon roll was the standout and the one I would recommend. See the pictures I took where I cut it open to show the inside. It was nice and soft with that warm cinnamon sweetness I was craving. The pan de sucre was delicious, but a bit plain and overpriced for what you get. If you get this, try dipping it into your coffee for max enjoyment. I did. The ham and cheese croissant was delicious. I loved the vibe of this restaurant! The baristas felt like friends, everyone was kind. I liked the large refrigerators with produce when you enter, but I wish they had a little more seating. I ordered the spicy onion toast with carmelized onions, a fluffy egg and chili oil on sourdough. You can tell all the ingredients are top notch, but it was so salty I could barely finish it.
