What's not to love about Luna's? This was my first visit to the Downtown location and I was not disappointed. The space it pretty roomy with lots of tables and chairs for getting work down and sharing a meal with friends. They have lots of great pastries, both sweet and savory, as well as a full coffee bar of course. I asked for a breakfast recommendation and the manager Chris recommended a smoked salmon avocado toast. I got it with pickled onions and feta cheese. The toast was really tasty and it had just enough avocado spread on it. Everything was fresh. It was a great choice. I also got one of their seasonal drinks, the banana bread latter. It was great. Awesome location that probably doesn't get too busy or loud. Plenty of booths with outlets so you can work here for a while. The only downside is that the metered parking outside only allows you to stay for up to 2 hours. Would have to move around or maybe not stay long. read more

Stopped by on our walk of the warehouse district the morning after a Guardians game. Samples h The Ham& cheese croissant, tomato danish and Nutella and banana crepe. Everything was top notch h at a Midwest friendly budget (so much cheaper than CA). Very worthwhile a stop for a snack. read more

Despite my ongoing anger that the charge you extra for mayo on a sandwich, the coffee here is amazing. Their pastries, I've come to discover, are likely the best in the city. The banana bread is a staple for me. Very moist, chock full of chocolate chips, and very tasty. Their rasberry croissants are some of the best I've had. I thought they'd be purchased frozen and reheated. They're not. You can tell they make them fresh. Great vibe. I used to live in St. Louis when the St. Louis Bread Company was THE BOMB. They were then purchased and expanded as Panera Bread, which is total shit. I hope this becomes the next big export like St. Louis Bread Co. but without the last part. I'd love to live in a world where I can go anywhere and pop into a Luna Bakery for a pastry and a good cup of coffee And they love my dog, Gromit! read more

Nice little shop for coffee, breakfast, and lunch. There are two counters to place your order which is good for getting service quickly. Cheerful and bright environment makes it worth hanging around to enjoy good conversation and company. Pastries are tasty and well made. Crepes and coffee are delicious. We tried a savory crepe and a sweet one as a finish. Not sure where to park. Some street parking is available, we walked from the Hilton Hotel, so it's convenient to the area around the square. read more

What a wonderful morning treat!!! Visited the downtown location with my daughters and it was a great treat! I got the pumpkin pie latte - hot and it was Delicious. and a ham and cheese crossiant (tip: get it warmed up - yummmm)! They had so many treats - all baked fresh and such an extensive menu, that if you can't find something good, you're just not looking! Luna is an average coffee place. I got a blackberry rosemary latte. It was fine, nothing impressive. My boyfriend got a pumpkin cranberry bread. It was moist but very dense. The flavors did not seem to come through for that cake. I chose to get tuna panini. I would say I've had better tuna somewhere else. Overall, it was okay. Let's start with no one replied to my email I sent regarding the disappointment I had with a recent order so that's really unfortunate. Quick summary.. I called and placed an order for 2 dozen cookies ($72 worth) and gave the day and time I would be picking up from the downtown location. When I went to pick up the cookies, they could not find the order and gave me a BS excuse that the "baker had quit that morning" so they told me they could bake a new batch if I gave them 20 minutes. I said " No problem" and then when I returned almost 2 hours later, the cookies were still not ready. I was told to take a seat and wait, and then approximately 30 minutes later, my cookies were finally ready. The issue didn't stop here though, when I got home and tried a bite, they were ROCK SOLID & inedible. I am extremely frustrated as these were the ONLY request my son had got his college graduation celebration. I can't believe that a business owner would put up with this kind of customer service... it's really disgusting and I will be sure to NEVER recommend Luna Bakery to anyone again. Sucks that they failed a SIMPLE cookie order for my son's special day and also shame on them for not getting back to me and even offering to make it right. Yes, I visited with the intention of becoming a repeat customer. Unfortunately, both the customer service and the condition of the food did not meet reasonable expectations. After the female store manager refused to provide me with my prepaid order and stated that I would not receive my order and refund, is when I was forced to escalate the matter to the General Manager. The next day, your General Manager (GM) apologized for his staff unwillingness to resolve the matter amicably. I accepted his apology because I was eager to put the bad experience behind me. When I returned to the bakery, under the GM's instructions the store manager finally released my prepaid order. Again, I had accepted the GM's apology and order in good faith. I truly had hoped my bad experience with Luna Bakery had ended. However, upon my return to work that day, after consuming a portion of the item, I experienced sudden stomach pain and sweating. While I am not making a medical diagnosis, this reaction only occurred shortly after consumption and was significant enough to cause concern. This condition paired with vomit and other bodily excretions lasted throughout the night and into the next morning. My comments are based on what I personally observed and experienced -- not speculation. I am also aware that other customers have publicly shared similar concerns regarding product freshness and rude customer service. Therefore, my experience aligns with those reports, which is why I felt it was important to document to show there is a pattern . Although, I did not seek medical treatment, which is the only reason this matter did not escalate beyond a consumer review. That choice should not be interpreted as the issue being insignificant. My intent has never been to harm a business, but to inform in hopes you will make improvements in food safe handling and customer service. Transparency matters. This place rocked my socks off. My food was fantastic (check photos) and the vibe was preset great. Just enough energy, just enough peace. It was the perfect place for me to be caught in a rainstorm. It's the kindof place you walk in, look at the menu, order, THEN sit down and they'll bring it to you. And they got my food out in short order, so I'd say the service was fasten enough just not much interaction with the servers is implied in the setup. That being said- GO GO GO...it's nice. read more

Fabulous, quiet cafe, the pastries looked outstanding and my 20 ounce (hallelujah for large sizes!) lavender almond milk latte hit the spot. I ordered avocado toast which was somewhat of a let down - a small piece of toasted wheat bread with a little bit of avocado smeared on top. Some radishes, feta or everything seasoning could have jazzed it up a bit but it was still good. read more

What a great spot! I got the pumpkin pie iced latte off the fall menu and it was great! There were a lot of baked goods and a very large breakfast and lunch menu! Tons of gluten-free options as well. I got the combo of soup and panini. The corn chowder soup was good! And the veggie panini was tasty! The one worker (I think she was a manager) was extremely helpful and accommodating. The other workers were super sweet as well! We ate on the "patio" outside. There were a few small tables outside. Parking is metered street parking, but there's usually a ton of spots in that area ! read more

Woohoo! New Luna. Same menu options as the other locations. We went around 11am and did not experience a long wait. Service was friendly and gave some great tips for what to order and got us signed up for the rewards program. I found this location to be less loud and anxiety inducing than their other locations which I enjoyed. read more

emailed cake decorating dept on monday 12/2 now 12/5 no reply.. do you still make cakes, do you not answer the emails? last time I ordered a few yrs ago I just called put my order in and was done, now you have to email someone whos obviously shorthanded or too overwhelmed to reply to emails. its Christmas season I'm sure your busy but where busy too as customers trying to find things for our parties but when u have ppl who just leave ya hanging or no one to reply to emails why bother having emails??!!! i mean there's only 4 different email options to use for lunas, go back to phone orders, who has time to play email tag w a bakery when your competitions have direct human access when you call, god forbid I have a question about an order or need to change something having to email someone is unacceptable.. read more

Only a few years back, Luna's was my primary choice for a great breakfast. A little over a year ago, things began to change. The quality of the food has declined, some members of the wait staff have been very rude and less than cordial. On one visit, I witnessed a screaming match between 2 servers, both yelling and using every expletive known to man, in the middle of a packed restaurant with families and children present...VERY unprofessional.
