Or perhaps try one of their specialty coffees as a "one and one" (get a shot of espresso and a cappuccino to compare the flavor.) So glad we found this place while visiting legoland. Very disappointing. I've been looking forward to trying this place for quite some time. The store itself is very clean and cute. There are pastries on display out front and some bread choices right behind the counter. The service was friendly. However, the bagels we got looked awesome but were toasted in butter and that's all you could taste. They were drenched and tasted stale. I got the herb and garlic shmear and it was flavorless. The sausage on the breakfast sandwich was it's only redeeming quality. It was served with a very small, overcooked egg and a stale tasting bagel drenched in butter. The prices are a bit high, but I normally don't mind paying a bit more for quality. Unfortunately this just missed the mark. read more

Awww, man- I know it's greedy to wish that Honeycomb was in LKLD when we already have Born and Bread- but I feel the way that I feel. I'm from New Orleans and this is the kind of delicious, well done spot that I just love so much. The food is all clearly cooked from scratch, and the organic bread, croissant and other pastry is so fresh and good. Being from NOLa, we were hesitant to try the gumbo, because it's often just so poorly done by other places, but this was ::chef's kiss:: perfection. 10/10 And the quiche?! My wife and I visited Honeycomb Bread Bakers for breakfast this morning. We ordered the Avocado on Sourdough, Baked Brie + Apple Butter, Cheddar Bagel w/ Garlic Herb Schmear, and Blueberry Pop-Tart. The Avocado on Sourdough was my favorite: nicely toasted sourdough bread was topped with creamy tangy avocado, crisp onions and peppers, and fresh cilantro. The Baked Brie + Apple Butter was also delicious. A wedge of brie was melted on toasted bread and paired with sweet flavorful apple butter. The Cheddar Bagel w/ Garlic Herb Schmear was savory, nicely toasted, and paired with a creamy and garlicy schmear. Finally the Blueberry Pop-Tart was a flaky on the outside, soft on the inside, and filled with a lightly sweet blueberry filling. I didn't know this place existed... I had spent a long overnight evening in the hospital with a family member and came out this morning and googled "coffee near me" and of the places listed, this one caught my eye. So, I decided to try it. The caramel latte I got was (thankfully) only about a quarter as sweet as a Starbucks caramel latte, and the delicious fruity, nuttiness of the coffee was more forward than the caramel flavoring. The body of the coffee was nice with a good mouth feel, and the strength, for me, was perfect, no bitterness. I primarily detected the caramel in the back of my mouth after I swallowed, and it was like a burnt-sugar-buttery bloom of flavor. Subtle and enhancing without overpowering the coffee. It was the most satisfying cup of latte I've had in a long, long time. The lox on bagel breakfast sandwich was delicious, also, with the freshest tasting ingredients! The cafe is airy and impeccably clean and the staff are genuinely interested in your enjoyment! You can also tell they are proud of their offerings, as they should be! Super popular in Winter Haven, but be sure not to pass it. The white building off of sixth st sw doesn't stand out, but it's good sure does! I stop almost every other week to grab breakfast for me and my coworker! I highly recommend the prosciutto sandwich! Savory or sweet you can't go wrong!!! So The business doesn't stick out too much. I drove past it and had to come back again to find it. The building and sign didn't stand out much to me. Inside there looked like two staff. One on the register and one in the back. I got two bagels and a croissant. It took at least 10 minutes to get my order and it wasn't super busy. The bagel selection was very small and I didn't see a big variety of other things. The bagels were so-so. Better than grocery store but not as good as others I've had in mid-Florida. They actually seemed like they were from the previous day. The croissant was very good. Superb job on that. Prices seemed a bit high. Parking was pretty limited but that's just the location. Been waiting to have a chance to try them and got it today. I am more about the take home bread than going for lunch so I got bagels croissants and cinnamon rolls to take away. I had an everything bagel when I got home with their garlic cream cheese and it was very good. Nice an soft inside. I ate a croissant for dinner. I made a chicken salad sandwich with it and it was amazing. For dessert I ate the cinnamon roll and it was quite tasty. Overall I really liked it and the fact that the owner was quick to answer a question to my extreme satisfaction I would say it is a must try. read more

First time customer and I had a pleasant experience. I placed my order inside for carryout, and had very little wait time. I chose the Breakfast Potato Hash and it was delicious. I saw a picture online and it showed sliced avacado on top, but my order had a scoop of guacamole instead. I prefer sliced avocado on my breakfast entrees, but it was still very tasty. The fried egg was fully cooked, sadly no creamy yolk, but a very generous size. The portion of potatoes was also very nice. The onions and peppers added to the well seasoned potatoes. I'd definitely order it again ($12). I also ordered a side of toasted sourdough bread w/jam and it was delicious. Very crisp with a deep sourdough flavor! TWO slices, enough to share ($4). I would recommend requesting one slice untoasted to enjoy at a later time, if not sharing:) I also chose a sweet treat to enjoy later in the day, Orange Kouign Amann. Unfortunately, it was missing the deeply caramelized bottom the pastry is known for. It was actually barely sweetened, which was quite surprising for this particular type of pastry. Additionally, It had virtually no taste of orange, to which I was greatly looking forward too. I"ll try something else next time, I'm sure there are some delicious alternatives. The bakery is small but very cute inside. I know some reviews have indicated long waits and small portions, but I didn't have that experience. The ambience of this modern bakery and coffeehouse with flowers and tablecloths and bustling uniformed staff stands out in WH, which tends to plastic booths and Formica tabletops tended by waitresses in hoodies and jeans. I ordered through Grubhub and my lox bagel and iced coffee were ready the exact minute promised. However, the everything bagel was stale and nothing more than thick, poorly risen bread shaped as a bagel. My coffee tasted strongly of black currant, a tea option of theirs. The lox was average quality and the schmear of cream cheese was really just a smear, hardly detectable. I threw about 75% of my food away. Just could not eat it. I have to admit I would go back just for the ambience and if I do, I will update with other food options. read more

I'm really sad to write this review, but the quality has gone down from when they first started. Today made the third bad expense I felt I needed to say something. I've talked with the owner and he's very defensive... I understand protecting your business, but you need to listen to the customer. Today we had the pretzel and there and it had an unusual metallic taste. We noticed there were dark spots on the top and that seemed to have the overwhelming metallic taste. We took it back in and again stated everything is made fresh and really didn't want to hear what we were saying. Finally they replaced and there were just two tiny spots on that one. Something metallic definitely dripped onto this batch. The other pastries we bought we just terrible. The dough was not fluffy or buttery. It's almost as if they are premaking dough and freezing it. Unfortunately after three bad experiences we are done. Sad because it was are go to place on Saturdays. Hopefully they will put the quality back into making their pastries! read more
