Was looking for a nice lunch and coffee/tea spot for a post business meeting wrap up. This place hit the spot in so many ways. Warm welcoming staff, cozy ambience and an extensive and imaginative menu. If I lived here, I would trying something new each time and it would probably take two months to get through my short list! Lots of healthy options including fresh fruit and yogurt. Every type of egg dish imaginable in combinations that sounded better than the next. The avocado toast was a standout along with bottomless cups of fresh coffee (accommodated with cups of ice since I drink mine over ice). Cute book shop next store just opened, so great spot to pick up a new read and then have a dream breakfast at Honeyfield. My wife and I were pleased to have found this place. The restaurant is in a strip mall with limited parking. The place was full and we had to park in the strip mall next door. It's a nice restaurant and it's clean. The service was great! Short waits and prompt service. Our server was great. The food was real good. I almost hate to leave a good review because I want to gate-keep honeyfield. I love breakfast. But I crave the banana fosters French toast from here. I always get two meals out of what I get from here. The staff is always friendly. I drive 20 minutes out of my way to eat here. It's worth every moment of my drive. read more

First time here and not sure we have never heard of this place. Wait was a good 30mins. But worth it. I got the turkey club, which was good and fries were bomb. The biscuits are definitely amazing and better than the side of pancakes. My boys loved the hashbrowns and eggs. And also the hot chocolate. Saturday morning we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. The place was busy. It looks like the locals were here in full force. Once we were seated out server told us we can serve ourselves coffee. The coffee pot was on the table. I guess it's self serve here. They also had a water pitcher and cups on the table. My daughter ordered eggs and bacon. My mom ordered the French toast meal. My husband had the banana fosters crepes. I had the pumpkin pancakes. Someone brought out out our order. I had to ask someone passing by if these were the pumpkin pancakes because our server was nowhere to ge found. My husband's crepes where terrible. The granola and gloppy canned whipped crème overpowered the whole dish. His crepes tasted liked whipped eggs. My pumpkin pancakes were delicious once I finally got them. They took a long time to come out. Our server did take my regular coffee off the check to make up for her mistake. I felt bad for our server because she was overwhelmed. She knocked over some high chairs when she was bringing out food. We asked her for more coffee but she disappeared for awhile. Maybe they were understaffed. My mom said her food was okay. read more

I very much enjoyed Honeyfield Restaurant. I got the French Crepe Combo with banana foster crepes. The combo was delicious, I added smoked Gouda cheese to my eggs and my bacon and hash browns were perfectly crispy! The bananas foster crepes were a little messy but still very good. I personally don't do sweet very well but these were still very good. My boyfriend got the Chicken and waffles with pancakes with strawberries and blueberries. The chicken and waffles were good but nothing special but the pancakes were good. The ambiance was great. Little dim but I like that on a cozy Sunday morning. Came on a Sunday morning, the wait was less than 20 minutes. The staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is old school breakfast diner. The menu has a wide variety of options. We had a lovely brunch here today. Picked Honeyfield because of the location as we were meeting friends driving thru IL from MI. We came down from the NW suburbs. First and foremost, I have always been a huge fan of the Banana Foster Crepes and Pancakes. The Service can be sketchy at high peak times but mostly not bad. This easily became a Family Favorite, thanks to its Family Friendly atmosphere. The other day while finishing up our lunch, I saw a Roach scurrying across the wall. My husband has never been a huge fan, so I didn't say anything. However when my Sister told me she experienced something similar, I knew I had to say something. What a neat diner! We arrived a Monday mid-morning and the place was rocking, but there was still plenty of seating. Beverages were served quickly and we were given plenty of "space" to look at the menu and ask questions. Speaking of the menu, it is plentiful with something for everyone. They even have gluten free choices available. I had one of the skillets with pancakes. The skillet was good, but the pancakes were the bomb. Outstanding! The only reason I am giving this facility a four star rather than a 5 was the odd, "old house" smell that was in the entry way and was present with us in our booth by the front door. I will be returning to this establishment in the future, so hopefully I will be able to update to a 5 star, at that time. read more

Good morning! This is one of those breakfast places that breaks the same ol' breakfast place mold just a little. We were dining out side in the tent due to Pritzker imposing indoor dining again. It was during a rain storm and was still dry and we felt very comfortable. The wait staff is very kind and they hustle to get your food to you hot & dry. I had the crab cake eggs Benedict. The cakes were crispy outside, tender inside, and tasty. The hollandaise sauce was done well, did not start to break at all. My potatoes were crispy just like you always want, yet rarely get. I had a side of pancakes which I normally don't get, not my favorite breakfast item. These however are pretty great. Nice rise to them, fluffy, browned perfectly, just a little sweetness to them. This is a must try dish. My lovely wife had the chicken and waffles. This is served with chicken tenders, waffles, and sausage gravy. The chicken is tender, not chewy, and flavorful light batter. The waffles are light, and have just the right amount of crispness to them. The gravy is very tasty, not greasy. However, I would recommend to have it served on the side. Looking forward to heading back here, there are a few more dishes that had me struggling to make a decision that I need to still try. Maybe I'll see you there... Me and my husband have moved around quite a bit and wherever we go, we establish a breakfast place to call our own. Our latest place is Honeyfield and this is our favorite of all time. We have been almost weekly regulars for about 2 years. Everything from the homey wood panelled decor and the Norman Rockwell artwork on the walls to the awesome people who work here tells you you're in the right place as soon as you walk in. The menu is vast and has many options for folks with a leaning towards organic or with gluten allergies which is nice to see. I have my favorites, (steak and eggs and the vanilla cream cheese blintzes with fresh strawberries,) although I have tried many others. Nothing ever disappoints here. The lunch options are just as delicious but we mainly come for the breakfast. Their freshly squeezed fruit juices and smoothies are a nice addition as well that many places don't have. There is a lot of care put into the service and making you feel like you're home, you're never waiting very long for food and your glasses are always kept full. It's a small place and it does get busy on the weekends which is when we go, but the servers have their jobs down pat. It's a pleasant hustle, no one seems stressed and there is a lot of smiles and laughter. The manager or owner? is always checking on you and making sure things are running smoothly. The wait never seems as long as they tell us it will be but be prepared for a half hour wait if you try to roll in on a weekend at 9 or 10 am. We always talk about what we're going to do when we move again and we won't have Honeyfield anymore!
