I call another store and they said no cause they use the Girahdelli powder chocolate packets inside the smoothie. Ok maybe it's vegan? She said no there dairy in it. (Like a low %) I said huh. I google if maybe there a chance it was a dark chocolate. Ok I guess that company of chocolate only have a dark chocolate bar that's it. It's unlikely it was dark chocolate chips that's vegan since it's from a powder packet and said said it has dairy in it. Ok tropical smoothie cafe, maybe she was misinformed what vegan is. Still why on your website you only acknowledge vegetarian and gluten free diets but not vegan... Anyways. October 1, 2025 Stopped to get a smoothie I wanted to taste the apple cinnamon protein smoothie and I'm not gonna lie. It was very good. The girl was very good and she did a great but I was leaving taking it with me in the car. when I went to take a sip of the smoothie it was in a Styrofoam cup that split on the side and needless to say broke open, what a mess. Nothing I could do about it. I wasn't going back as I was driving on I 55. Got home cleaned up the mess. I did not call them. I might call today cause that was like throwing almost $14 out the window but again it was the cup that broke so I would go back but I would absolutely make them double the cup, it's extremely flimsy. Not the fault of the employees. Smoothies are thick and heavy should've been in a plastic cup, which is the companies fault I just wanna make that plain. This was the Cresr Hill store. #44/2023 Well the tropical smoothie Cafe located here in Lockport. I came here once a few years ago but never did anything on Yelp. I was here though in 2020 I ended up with my very first rotd ever during the covid height. Few things have changed through the times Gone a few of the sandwiches they used to have. I have the summer specials that you should just call them smoothies now they have a fancy name for them non-alcohol mocktails with three different kinds for the summer they have the watermelon mojito the strawberry margarita and the island punch. I came in and I ordered a chicken pesto flatbread sandwich. Basically flatbread Chicken with a mozzarella and Parmesan mixed kind of cheese with tomatoes and the pesto sauce toasted. I went with the combo got some Sun chips harvest cheddar and I tried the watermelon mojito whatever they called it it was a little different than what I remember of a straight watermelon smoothie because it has a few extra ingredients in this one now they put a little strawberry and lime but it was tasty. As for the staff well they're young kids here now. Can see they haven't been working very long at this location or in general you can definitely see they were definitely high schoolers so I'm not going to fault them for not knowing a lot of things as far as the full menu and having to look at myself and figure out what I wanted. All in although it's still a good four star experience and I'll just not change it after over 3 years and keep it like it is. read more

I've been one of the very first most loyal customers to this business from the beginning the morning workers no longer write your supplements on the side of your smoothie causing a major problems when I bring multiple smoothies to customers/coworkers they are accusing this place of not putting the supplements inside, I asked the worker if it was company policy to write each supplement on the side of the smoothie when purchased she told me NO we no longer do that service and she was too BUSY (10 Am) (no one in the store no one in line) It's the little things Like this adding up that makes me want to walk away from this company. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon they weren't too terribly busy but the place was alive and jumping. My son enjoyed the peanut butter banana crunch flatbread sandwich it was so good I ordered him a second one. I purchased a chicken bacon ranch toasted flatbread sandwich for my wife that comes with grilled chicken bacon tomatoes Romain lettuce cheddar cheese and light ranch. They have a deal here will you get any flatbread sandwich and a side for five dollars! Everything is made fresh and prepared in front of you, even though it is made fresh it is delivered to you quickly. This place is great for kids they are very friendly lots of smiles, there's plenty of places to sit and it was very comfortable inside. They truly have something for everyone and the menus are very descriptive and they have pictures of everything and everything looks really good. I enjoyed the Paradise point which has strawberries banana and pineapple and I found that to be quite delicious and a good value for the money. My son enjoyed the peanut butter cup which has peanut butter banana and chocolate and he found it's quite delicious, it reminded me of a Reesie's peanut butter cup only via a straw. Looked just like the picture in the menu, and tasted even better than it looked. My co-worker has the bbq chicken flatbread and even that was amazing looking and he loved it. The only downfall is the slightly depressed looking/acting coworkers. And i don't feel exactly welcome, no greeting, asking how i am, etc just how a normal place should be for food service. So glad another smoothie place opened back up in this spot in Lockport. Have come multiple times since they opened and everything I have tried is delicious. I would recommend the pomegranate plunge or the blimey limey (I personally add kiwi to the blimey and it's just delicious)! Pricing is super cheap especially for the size you get. Have not yet tried the food but my brother and his girlfriend got lunch here and have only said good things. I will definitely be getting something to eat the next time I stop in! This was a total joke. I walked in and not a single one of the employees said hi. They were all rude. I waited at the counter 10 minutes to put in an order and ask about the smoothies as I had never been here before. Not one of the employees even made eye contact with me. One of the girls was chit chatting with a couple customers that seemed to be her friends. The one girl in the drive thru window was busy. The last girl walked by and side glanced but then didn't say anything. So how about someone says HELLO or WELCOME to customers when they walk in the door. And maybe be willing to offer assistance? I had to walk out as it was upsetting to be standing there waiting not getting any help. I'll never come back and hope my 1 star review brings down the rating of this place because bad service will put them out of business eventually! Karma will come around.
