Good bbq in a food hall? Yep, Honeyfire BBQ defies the odds. If you see a line join it and thank me later. We got the double combo with the ribs and brisket. The brisket was delicious! Ribs were good as well but the flavor could be a little more smoky. The Mac was ok and the cinnamon apples are basically just a dessert. Sugar goodness! Bbq sauce is sweet and went really well on the ribs. If back in Nash, I'll revisit!

RANCH HAND SANDWICH and MAC & CHEESE

Inside the awesome Assembly Food Hall. Hubs got the Ranch Hand sandwich with Mac n cheese side. The sandwich was fine, nothing to write home about. Mac n cheese was delish.

Atmosphere 5/5 - This place is located in the Assembly Food Hall which is a cool spot off Broadway. Lots to choose from and it has indoor and outdoor seating options. Food 4/5 - Chopped brisket sandwich was ok. Meat was flavorful, but the bun was cold. I ended up ditching the bun. White queso mac n cheese was nice and creamy. Service 2/5 - I was standing in the front to look at the menu and an employee told me to move back towards ordering area. When I said I was looking at the menu, she was not very friendly. The cashier was fine, but wasn't paying much attention and put a set of utensils on my plate and then added another one in my cup. I nicely returned one set and he grabbed it to throw it back in the bin. I'll be back to this food hall, but not to this booth.

Buffalo jones best chicken sandwich I've ever had. And the mac and cheese with the queso... chefs kiss. Come and experience this before you leave Nashville. They know what they are doing.

The BBQ here isn't bad, especially considering it's located in a mall-style setting like the Assembly Food Hall..but it doesn't quite measure up to some of the top BBQ spots in Nashville. I wasn't a fan of how the brisket was minced in my sandwich; it came out a bit dry and could've definitely used more of that tasty BBQ sauce they offer. On the plus side, the slaw was pretty good, and the service followed suit. I really like the overall concept of the Food Hall. It's clean, spacious, and offers plenty of seating with charging outlets, free WiFi, and TVs showing whatever big game or event is on. It's a cool spot to hang out, and as far as I know, there isn't any direct BBQ competition within the hall. That said, if I find myself back at Assembly Food Hall, I might explore a different vendor just to try something new.

The Big Cheesy with chopped brisket

I have followed HoneyFire on social media for a while but haven't had the opportunity to have it due to not living in the area, but that was remedied recently and I am damn glad it was! I had the Big Cheesy which is the macaroni with a bed of protein of your choosing on top. I had the brisket and it might've been the best brisket I've ever had... yes I've had your brisket, Texas! It's been over a week since I've had it and I'm trying to find a reason to visit Nashville again to have more. I added the baked beans because they sounded good and they were a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich with green beans. The pork was pretty standard and solid, while the green beans were awesome as well. It was also our first time to the Assembly Food Hall, which I think I could spend all day there. Live music, great food and awesome vibes.

BUFFALO JONES SANDWICH

HoneyFire BBQ is an absolute gem in downtown Nashville. Tucked inside the food hall off Broadway, it somehow manages to outshine just about everything around it. You can watch your meal come together right in front of you. Like dinner and a show, but with way more delicious smoke involved. I went for the Buffalo Jones chicken sandwich and it was perfection. The chicken was seasoned beautifully with a subtle smoky depth, then absolutely pampered in ranch and buffalo sauce, with a swipe of mustard and some seasoned jalapeños that brought just the right amount of kick. It sounds intense, but the heat stayed friendly. More high-five than slap in the face. The coleslaw was creamy, tangy, and exactly what you want next to a sandwich that's doing the absolute most. Service was lightning-fast and everyone behind the counter was genuinely pleasant. If you're browsing the food hall and debating where to eat, just save yourself the decision fatigue and head straight to HoneyFire BBQ. You'll leave happy.

This place is one of many food vendors at Assembly Hall. I loved their pull pork and my 3 friends had Brisket and were all very happy with their choices. Staff was pleasant and quick.

The Brisket was SO tender! My wife had salad with chicken, it was yummy Too! Highly recommend for great Bar-b-q!!

SOUTHWEST BBQ SALAD

What can I say other than it was so good! Ribs were tender and fell off the bone. It was full of flavor, and the sauce was sweet. The southwest bbq salad was huge and so filling with generous portions of pulled pork. Service was also quick. No picture of the ribs since it was gobbled up instantly.

Food was good! I suggest not going after 8pm because they'll be out of most of the meats. White queso mac and cheese was awesome though!

I had the brisket tacos, which were flavorful, though a little dry. I am giving grace here because it was takeout and possibly was much more moist prior to transport. I did like how the toppings brightened things up: cheese, slaw, pico de Gallo, bean salad, and fried jalapeños. I also had the Nashville hot link, a smoked sausage with house made spicy pimento cheese and pickled jalapeños. It was indeed pleasantly spicy. We shared some fries, which were hot, crisp, and well seasoned. They also have ribs, wings, bbq nachos and fries, fried pickles, bbq chicken and turkey, various sandwiches and platters. They also offer Nashville's staple hot chicken in platter, sandwich, and taco form. Catfish is another option, in all the same varieties. Sides: cornbread, Mac & cheese, baked beans, green beans (in bone broth and bacon). Cold sides such as bean salad, potato salad, Cole slaw. They also have a couple desserts and salads available, as well as a kids menu. Very affordable, as we got meals for 15 people for only 230 dollars.

The sides were kind of meh. The green beans tasted like they were from a can and I think the noodles for my Mac and cheese were too firm. But it was still good. I'd go again just get different sides. Oh and the banana pudding was great!

Absolutely the Best BBQ in Nashville - Honey Fire BBQ on Sawyer Brown Rd is a Must-Try!…read more I recently visited Honey Fire BBQ in the Bellevue area and left completely impressed. From the moment you walk in, the place feels welcoming with its clean, modern vibe and that cozy wrap-around covered porch--perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. The star of the show is their slow-smoked meats paired with that signature sweet heat sauce. The brisket was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, the ribs had the perfect bark and fall-off-the-bone texture, and the pulled pork was juicy and delicious. Their house-made sauces (especially the honey-based ones with just the right touch of tangy sweetness and a little kick) elevate everything--I've never tasted BBQ quite like this Nashville twist on tradition. Sides were equally outstanding: the baked beans had a great depth of flavor, the mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the sweet corn pudding was a standout. Everything felt fresh, generous, and made with care. Service was friendly and efficient--true Southern hospitality that made us feel like family. Whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, this spot delivers every time. If you're in Nashville (or driving through Bellevue), do yourself a favor and head to Honey Fire BBQ on Sawyer Brown Rd. It's become my new go-to for outstanding barbecue. Highly recommend. I will definitely return and bring friends. From our family to yours--thank you, Honey Fire!

Tap in below: Whether dining in, or taking out, this location has a dine in section and a take out section. Both sections were extremely nice and inviting: took mine to go but I can promise you it'd have been even more than a 5/5 if I sat down and had a meal there. Highly recommend!!! -Ribs and brisket platter: 5/5 Trying brisket in 4 states and 5 different styles I'll say the cuts I was given were well paired with sauce which compliments the brisket, but it honestly doesn't need it.... Collagen that melts as you bite into the fatty part and melt in your mouth tenderness that's just a smokers craft. Ribs were fall off the bone, flavorful, and just well done. BBQ sauce was well paired with it but would like to try some different sauces to complement it differently than the brisket. The potato salad was astounding, but the Cole slaw.... Probably tied for best slaw I had on the trip. Overall, THIS is the place you go for BBQ in TN. There's a ton of reviews for other places, but this is where the locals go. Donelson has a gem with Edley's here. I would venture to say that this location is a perfect spot for trying Tennessee style bbq first hand and loving every bit of it! Restaurant seemed to be lively and just a place you'd love to step into for a drink and a good meal!

And the mac and cheese is unusually intriguing with subtleties of maybe peppers and even something slightly sweet in the crispy breadcrumb topping. It's pleasantly complex. I think the best dish at the Donelson Edley's is the brisket. Some of those cuts have the perfect balance of a salty, fatty edge and hearty, smoky meat. The worst dish is certainly the ribs. They're extremely dry, even with barbecue sauce, and don't have a good flavor at all. But Edley's is a good addition to what was once a pretty desolate food scene in Donelson. Thank heavens they moved in!

Parking was super easy, and the woman at the counter was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean, and the restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of tables and room to spread out, which is always appreciated when dining with little kids. My kids played outside while we waited for our food, but the food came out quickly. The kids' meals are some of the best values in town. One tip: the bun on the kids' cheeseburger is huge compared to the patty. I asked if they could add an extra patty, and they did for just $1. After removing some of the bun, it made for a much better burger and still kept the meal incredibly affordable. The spicy chicken tacos are also some of the best tacos in town. Our family of five ate for about $50. We usually buy Edley's gift cards at Costco, so our actual cost was closer to $40.
