Ordered take out. Hands down the WORST and i mean ABSOLUTE WORST Chinese food i have ever had. Chicken was literally inedible. My wife and i each took the first bite from two separate chicken meals (gen tso and orange chicken) and spit it out at the EXACT same time. Even gave a piece to our dog and he held it in his mouth and went under the table to spit it on the carpet. Let that sink in. A Dog wouldnt swallow it. Unreal. Aside of that the flavor was non existent and suuuuuuper dry. The rice tasted like cardboard smells. $50 for 2 meals and a side of rice that went STRAIGHT in the trash. Also ZERO soy sauce or chopsticks or napkins. Now at 9:30 on a sunday we are going to the only thing open, Cub, to get a quick meal to make. This is actually the first comment i have ever made online. This was beyond bad. So bad i downloaded the app just to warn everyone to avoid this place at all costs. Wow. And it was between Leann Chinn and Ding Dong Buffet and assumed the latter would be more authentic. Big mistake. We stopped here and were pleased with the wide selection of food. The staff was friendly and polite. The food was really fresh and delicious. Our only complaint was since they weren't busy some of the dishes weren't as temperature hot as we would like them. We would eat here again. read more

Pick up order. Chicken Mai Fun tasted like someone spilled an entire salt shaker in it. My son's beef Lo Mein meat was super chewy, must have used a cheap tough cut like flank steak. I'm nonplussed by my experience at this restaurant. Shoulda paid attention to Yelpers over my co-worker's recommendation. You have to pay before you eat, ala Golden Corral. That's always concerning. You also have to pre-tip. I wish I hadn't. Drinks are also self-serve, but they're tucked back in a corner...it looks like perhaps they served you at one point in time. After I finished my first plate(s) and went back for more, they cleared everything else off. A family decided to sit where my stuff had been. No one apologized, and I had to find a new seat. Have had 2 great delivery experiences now. I recommend the hot and sour soup, beef and vegetables, Mongolian beef, and egg rolls. Delivery has always been correct and they are fast! We walked in to find that they aren't currently doing the all you can eat buffet - you grab a to-go box, fill it, and pay by the pound as you can exit the buffet. You can sit at one of their tables and eat out of your box. No thanks. There were stacks of cardboard boxes (presumably paper products or fortune cookies) next to their makeshift checkout table in the middle of the restaurant. Hardly attractive. Can't speak to the food quality- we left, as did the family who came in behind us. If they continue with this format we'll never be back. Two stars for surviving the pandemic. read more

Never have had a bad experience at this Chinese buffet, except for the other guests hogging all of the salt n pepper shrimp. The bathrooms are a bit dirty as well, and very old booths that aren't too comfortable. Other then that the food is always fresh though because they stay so busy. I like the fact that I can get my own drink because most places you wait awhile for a refill. The different entree choices are always good. I love the pepper chicken, and honey walnut shrimp. Great variety of dishes to pick from. The lomein is awesome too. I did notice that they don't offer any beef, which would be nice. The prices are really good compared to some buffets around the twin cities because you have to pay extra for sushi or a hibachi added on. For two of us for dinner was $26. Just don't expect a fortune cookie here because they don't give them out. :) read more

False advertising I provided a valid coupon with the Hong Kong name and phone number on the coupon when I presented the coupon at time to pay the sales person got defensive saying she could not accept the coupon. I was confused, because she admitted my coupon was a valid coupon for the restaurant however still refused to accept it. I am frustrated with the fact of false advertising and discrimination. For what it is - a cheap, local, divey/charming Chinese-American buffet - it's perfect for when we're at our most hungry and indecisive. Why? Well for one, it's easy. It's also closer & cheaper than panda. Plus, the kids love it. The place is dated, but always clean, and the staff are always friendly. Most of the food also seems fresh/scratch-made, which is surprising given the price point. The steamed dumplings are always a hit along with the Japanese chicken & garlic green beans. If you're looking for fancy, go elsewhere. If 5 modest buffet bars (3 hot, 2 cold) isn't enough, move along. They generally don't even have beef on the menu - just chicken and seafood. My only gripe that (I'd love some beef & broccoli sometime, please!) and that the General Tso's chicken is too soy-saucy, rather than sweet-spicy, but there's plenty else to fill our plates. read more

As a gluttonous American I love a good Chinese buffet. Is it a little bit grungy and outdated? Yes, but so am I, and who cares when I'm gorging on a plate full of lo-mein. It was under $10 for the lunch buffet and they had the usual lineup of suspects on the line. Lo-mein, fried rice, white rice, wonton soup, sweet and sour chicken, et al. I did see one thing I haven't see before, crab meat mixed with broccoli. Everything was warm and fresh, even for 1pm in the afternoon. I even gave it one extra star for having Mountain Dew! I came to this restaurant a few nights ago and the ownership does not listen to you. You have to scream through plastic WHILE STANDING OUTSIDE IN THE COLD.
