This is how rubbery the "chicken" was
Jake D.

Ordered take out. Hands down the WORST and i mean ABSOLUTE WORST Chinese food i have ever had. Chicken was literally inedible. My wife and i each took the first bite from two separate chicken meals (gen tso and orange chicken) and spit it out at the EXACT same time. Even gave a piece to our dog and he held it in his mouth and went under the table to spit it on the carpet. Let that sink in. A Dog wouldnt swallow it. Unreal. Aside of that the flavor was non existent and suuuuuuper dry. The rice tasted like cardboard smells. $50 for 2 meals and a side of rice that went STRAIGHT in the trash. Also ZERO soy sauce or chopsticks or napkins. Now at 9:30 on a sunday we are going to the only thing open, Cub, to get a quick meal to make. This is actually the first comment i have ever made online. This was beyond bad. So bad i downloaded the app just to warn everyone to avoid this place at all costs. Wow. And it was between Leann Chinn and Ding Dong Buffet and assumed the latter would be more authentic. Big mistake. I wouldnt even give it 1 star but i believe you have to at least give 1 star to submit a comment. Anyway, long story short, if you are craving Chinese in the chaska area...... LEANN CHINN!!!

We stopped here and were pleased with the wide selection of food. The staff was friendly and polite. The food was really fresh and delicious. Our only complaint was since they weren't busy some of the dishes weren't as temperature hot as we would like them. We would eat here again.

From 12 o'clock: "Teriyaki" chicken on a stick, honey chicken, general Taos chicken, snow white chicken, and mei fun.

I'm nonplussed by my experience at this restaurant. Shoulda paid attention to Yelpers over my co-worker's recommendation. You have to pay before you eat, ala Golden Corral. That's always concerning. You also have to pre-tip. I wish I hadn't. Drinks are also self-serve, but they're tucked back in a corner...it looks like perhaps they served you at one point in time. After I finished my first plate(s) and went back for more, they cleared everything else off. A family decided to sit where my stuff had been. No one apologized, and I had to find a new seat. No mustard that I could find. Food selection was very mediocre. The General Tao's chicken was more sweet than spicy. Cheese puffs were very chintzy. Do not recommend.

Sanitation hazard, guess how their kitchen will look like!

I was not a fan of the cream cheese wontons, as the outside used was too thick. The servers were quick and accommodating to our drink requests & cleaning up our finished plates. Beverages are included which was nice. I love getting hot tea. The restaurant was clean & well taken care of. You pay when you first arrive with cash or card (they only take visa and mastercard). Note that if you pay with a card and add a tip, they will just give you cash from the register for the tip amount to leave at your table when you leave. I would bring cash to tip your server with at your table. After paying, you can seat yourself anywhere and a server will come by and take your beverage order. The buffet includes unlimited soft drinks, drip coffee, and hot tea. Their Dr. Pepper is extra syrupy compared to normal fountain drinks, would recommend! Throughout the meal, the server will clear your empty plates and at the end of the meal they will drop off fortune cookies and towelettes. Crab days are Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. During these days they serve lil crabs. There is also a build your own noodle station where you can choose your mix-ins and sauces, and they'll fry it up for you. The fried rice is solid and the garlic toast is shockingly really good. Food is pretty fresh and warm, and there are people constantly refilling trays and cleaning the buffet.

(2026 Golden Tempo) Now, it has been several years since I made a trip to this racetrack. I remember it being in much better shape! I was disappointed especially in the rest rooms. Rather Gross. Needs sprucing up I think. Strangely, all the food & Beverage staff seemed to be Volunteers! Every interaction I had with the bartenders and counter staff was delightful. They all seemed to be very happy to be there, despite the tips only income. Very accomodating and service oriented, especially the bartenders who had the Mint Julips ready to go! The selection of food at the different counters was better than average, but everything I wanted was sold out. Nada, no more, too bad so sad. What were the bosses thinking? No one was going to show up for the Derby? HORSES ARE ALWAYS EXCITING

That will be $47." My partner's card declined at first swipe, which was loudly announced. But we got through and were provided our 4 paper napkins and one set of cutlery each. Only to discover 4 dirty & underwhelming buffet lines. And a sea of rude & dirty people. Not a single cut of red meat in the building. The "crab legs" were imitation crab (not even sure that's legal). The shrimp were whole- had to peel and de-vein them myself. Remember the 4 napkins? Extra miserable when you have to rip through your own seafood with your hands. The flavors of what I did try were abysmal. Only thing decent were the egg rolls. Flies buzzing everywhere. The cookies are obviously store bought from Sam's or Costco, the jellies are cheap, the cream puffs were also store bought. The ice cream didnt even look good. You can find better Asian cuisine in the frozen aisle at dollar general. The staff are all incredibly rude. The middle aged woman working the dining room was following me around so close that she stepped on the backs of my heels, twice. And hovered over me as I ate. The employees at the food line also love to hover and actively get in the way. I truly expect to become sick from eating here. And will update when i do. My partner tried one of their doughnuts and ate nothing else- wish we had just walked away when we encountered that snot upon arrival. I'm reporting them to the health board and BBB.

One standout for me was the chicken wild rice soup, which was rich, comforting, and surprisingly enjoyable even with mushrooms mixed in -- the flavors were well balanced and hearty without being overpowering. The salad bar was another strong point, with a good range of fresh ingredients and prepared salads that felt thoughtfully stocked rather than repetitive. The pizza was decent -- not the highlight of the meal, but serviceable and satisfying as part of the larger selection. To finish, the ice cream was excellent and easily one of the most enjoyable parts of the experience, offering a classic, nostalgic end to the meal.
