One of my favorite Chinese spots in Lancaster, the only one I really go out of my way to choose in the area.

I don't think I've ever given someone a 1 star or wished I could give no star. This has to be the worse food I've ever had in MY LIFE! Chicken wings were old and tasted how they look(dry and hard) Beef Egg Fung Young they gave me four pieces, two of which had no beef and the other two pieces had one piece of beef each and greasy. The Spicy Chicken was old and dry. The Orange Chicken and Spicy were ok. The Soups were ok but were missing some flavor.The only thing that was to eat was the soups and half way edible was orange chicken and the fish. Out of $56.00 of food a threw away about $30.00. Please save your money and taste bud and fine somewhere else to eat. read more

I believe that this place deserves 5 stars. I've been coming here since I was just little getting around the same thing (7 years old now 18). Some of the food you would want the preference for. Like the coconut shrimp yes it is slathered with the sauce although I like it. Obviously some people don't. The lady that works here is so kind. I would come here back to back and she'd recognize me mainly for the coconut shrimp. (I don't think she knows I've been coming here strictly for years). the place has gotten new anime decor. This place is very clean and the service is fast. The quality of food is just good. Food was fresh and hot The chow mein not my favorite, 5 out 10 fried rice cooked to a perfect. 7.5 out 10 Orange chicken tender, but piece to big, sauce had a zest. 6 out 10 Jalapano chicken very tasty, not spicy enough, chicken to onions not even onions won. 8 out 10 Over all recommend the food just don't expect high quality for the buck spent. Outstanding food! I've ordered from here twice already and the food has been hot, tasty and fresh. I ordered it via Uber eats because I'm usually stuck in a hotel and I will probably order from here every time I'm in Lancaster. I give it 2 for being open Christmas Eve and the cream cheese wontons were good. The food all had this strange taste. Whatever oil they use or something was funky. Things I love about this place: the generous portions of food they give, and the price. Things that need improvement: friendlier staff, updated seating (some of the booths have duct tape on the seats) cleaner condiment containers (salt and pepper shakers are gross... like you need a napkin just to touch them gross) and most importantly, food quality consistency. Sometimes their Egg Drop Soup is amazing, other times the film is thicker than the soup, and they will ACTUALLY SERVE IT TO YOU! SMH read more

Hey, it's Chinese fast food.. How good or bad could it be? So I've had Dragon Garden (see my review) and so naturally it was time to try HKE (Hong Kong Express).. Like Dragon Garden, HKE is nestled in a strip mall complete with your lively 'characters' adding to the daily drama and atmosphere of the place. Once inside I was greeted and shown nice customer service. Btw, this place also serves buy 1 get free shaved snow ice.. Ok so cut to the chase: Chow Mein: Pretty alright, bigger better noodles than Dragon Garden. Orange Chicken: looked good, sadly it was soggy and gelatinous. . The meat was like half good, and half I dunno what animal that came from. Egg rolls are my fave.. These were soggy, floppy sticks of lukewarm veggie mush. Yes, I still ate them. So yeah it's a toss up between HKE and Dragon Garden.. Both are mediocre, bit can be good, and both will leave you hungry within an hour or two. :) read more

Pretty decent food. Spicy food wasn't spicy at all & consisted of more vegetables more than anything. It's definitely a lot for your money. I spent $24 & had enough for 2 days. Very good for those on a budget, being frugal or a college student craving Chinese food. I wouldn't call it authentic, but it's a heck of a lot better than Panda Express. They DO DELIVER which s a huge plus. I'm not sure why it says they don't, but they do. You just have to order $15 worth of food & they tack on a $2 delivery fee. Overall, I will be ordering from here again. I just wish the food was spicier & there were less veggies & more meat/ protein/ seafood. read more

Food is greasy! The food is ok I guess. They do serve you a crap load of food though lol like a lot! They don't play around with portions. BUT, and this is a big BUT! I honestly don't know why this place doesn't have any reviews. Let me start by saying my husband & I are very picky about Chinese food. We have tried a lot of different places here in the A.V. and this place has really good Chinese food for low prices! Their BBQ pork is delicious& their orange chicken is yummy! The staff was very courteous & they give you large portions. It is set up like panda express but Hong Kong express is so much better! Just tried out this Chinese spot down the street from our apartment. It's really good, since moving from the San Fernando Valley we haven't really had a chance to explore but today we decided to give this place a chance and boy am I glad we did.
