There is a sign that says Combo C (fried rice + chow mein & 3 entrees) for $11.99 For my entrees I got teriyaki chicken, BBQ pork (bone out) and fried chicken. I specifically told the lady COMBO C. She rings me up and the total comes out to be $16. Which was weird cus it said $11.99... she then tells me that the BBQ pork doesn't come with combo C and the fried chicken counts as a side. Mind you, it doesn't say anywhere what items are excluded. It doesn't make any sense to me. Whatever item should be included in that combo, and if something is excluded then they should be transparent with that. I pay the $16 but rest assured that I WILL NO LONGER BE BACK. My colleagues and I were craving Chinese food, the bad ones where it tastes so good that it's so bad for you? The one you see in movies where people working late through the night and just get Chinese fast food and eat it out of those famous paper take-out orders? Well, we were in that mood and I Yelped for something different because we were sick with the ones close by to DTLB. I made an effort to drive from DTLB to this place, in Santa Fe actually.. I think this is near Santa Fe Sandwiches area... The staff were super nice and so friendly. And they take cash only! AND, I didn't have ANY cash!!! Geesh.. but lucky for me they had a sign that they accept ZELLE... so, I zelled the lady. Portion was big and they were generous. I took it back to my coworkers and we chowed it down because we were hungry. It was decent and not as oily.. My coworker also got the veggies egg rolls but not sure how it tasted because I forgot to ask him. In the end though we were just okay with it and since it's a short drive for us, prob we won't make the effort to go back to get it .. The sisters that run this spot are the best. They are very reliable for catering orders and you should DEFINITELY go to them for a tray of chicken wings if you have a large group to feed. Wings are super flavorful with a good texture - not as crispy all the way around, but good crispy edges with umami flavor for days. $39 for a tray (or $70 for a huge tray) is not a bad deal. Was in Long Beach, looking for some fast food and this seemed rated way higher than other regular chains. If you like Panda Express, well - I kinda feel sorry for you, but you'll probably quite like this place. It's the epitome of Americanized Chinese take out. Otherwise, their food is pretty inedible. Wings were very dry & overcooked. Everything - especially chow mein - covered in bland orange sauce. Orange chicken very gooey. Simple mabu tofu was bland with same terrible sauce as kung pow chicken which had way more squash & baby corn than chicken or peanuts. Ended up throwing away wings, 2 egg rolls, orange chicken and will likely toss the rest tomorrow. read more

However, the orange chicken didn't have much meat inside. It was mostly the skin. Also. I only got like 3 little pieces of beef. There was one big piece but it was excess skin and not good. The flavor of the rice was good. I didn't expect them to place a veggie roll inside, but it was good! Overall, if you're not picky about your Chinese food, I'd say give it a try. I should have known when I walked in and saw a 1 Item Combo was only $7.79. Desperate to get some lunch and with limited options in the area, I went ahead and ordered. The noodles were dry and tasted like they were sitting for a while. The fried rice had zero flavor. My pepper chicken had bell peppers, onions and chicken cartridge and bone. There literally was only one edible piece of chicken. I'll chalk it up as lesson learned and steer clear going forward. Oh and it's cash only. Which you only find out when you get to the register and they have a receipt sized sign stating "cash only". They only take cash or Zelle I believe but they do have an ATM inside, it charges the most I've send for an ATM at $3 to withdrawal cash so come prepared if you don't like the fees. You walk in. You get told it's only cash or Zelle. No matter your response she won't believe you have money so you have to show her or she will keep asking you if have money or Zelle. Then you will get rushed on what to order. So you need to study the menu before you go in. If you order teriyaki chicken you will get it with no teriyaki sauce. So buy sauce from Albertsons before you go. Then you will be told there is no more kung pao chicken even though you are staring at a good serving left. When you get your bag to go you will ask for hot sauce and she will say it's In the bag already. You will then go to your car and open the bag and check and see no hot sauce. So stopped here for boba and if I hadn't eaten already, I probably would have ordered some food because it looked very appetizing. Everything looked fresh and delicious. I am a huge fan of orange chicken so definitely would love to come back to try theirs. I ended up ordering a Vanilla Smoothie drink with boba. It tasted more like a milkshake and was a little strong but still very good. The boba was fresh and had a great taste too so that was a plus. The ladies who work there were so sweet and helpful. They kept welcoming everyone and since it was New Years Eve, they were wishing everyone a Happy New Year. One downfall that I have to remember is that they only accept cash. I want to support our local businesses. But the woman who served me today was so STINGY, giving me the smallest pieces of chicken wings - returning the bigger pieces if she accidentally gave me a big piece. She didn't even want me to order more chicken. It's 12 noon and no customer was there. How can one support a business who's not even grateful for patronage and treat their customers so poorly. The place is wanting for some cleaning and upgrade, but a minimum of good customer service would go a long way.
