The food is always fresh! I'm pretty picky about orange chicken because it tends to get mushy and here it's ordered so often they hardly have it on hand or mushy. It's crispy but not burnt! Service is great, give good portions and with a smile. Ambiance is chill it's a fast food Chinese restaurant so it's not filled up but very clean and airy ... it's a go to favorite in my family for more than ten years!

This was recommended to me my nail salon (nearby) who even brought me a sample of the orange chicken. I went by after manicure. BUT. I didn't order the orange chicken, so, that's totally my bad. I ordered honey walnut skrimp and string bean chicken two combo with lo mein and fried rice. The to go container was STUFFED so full, I could not believe they provided so much food. I ate the honey walnut skrimps but couldn't eat more. I didn't love the noodles or the rice. I probably won't go back - I prefer Golden Phoenix on Paramount.

It was my first time here. There not many Chinese food fast food places around. Specially being this good. The service was great, they were fast and friendly. The place was clean. But now let me talk about the food, I dislike when my BBQ pork it's dry, and this one was so yummy and juice with a lot of flavor. The walnut shrimp was amazing too, all the other sides we got were so good. Hope this new review helps since they don't have many new reviews or new pictures. And ignore all those reviews saying it was not like whatever restaurant they know, it's a fast food place! Anyways enjoy. P.S. for sure one of our fav places to eat now.

We were in Long Beach after running errands and was craving some fast food Chinese , and quickly found this gem.... Now you NOW, this place is going to be delightful when there's people waiting in line... everything was fresh, from the rice, noodles, orange chicken... and they Jam pack each item; literally till you can't close the lid.... Will definitely visit soon... YUM

The food is nasty and over priced. A bowl is $10 ...... and at plate is $14 And the fried rice is not good at all.

I believe the owner is celiac or has a family member that is. Always really delicious, high quality food here that gets prepared fast. I am from Asia and I always really miss the food -- Nomad has some items like the chow fun and bok choy that are basically what I'd get back home. Everything is family style and the portions are huge, and can last two people an entire week. They also have additional items on the menu that you can ask to be gluten free if you call. Our table ordered hot and sour soup, egg corn soup, chow mein, fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, garlic chicken, Kung pao chicken, and filet mignon with black pepper sauce. The hot and sour soup, egg corn soup, and honey walnut shrimp were exceptional and must orders. The Kung pao chicken and filet mignon with black pepper sauce were very good as well. I'd say you can pass on the chow mein, fried rice, and garlic chicken--they weren't bad and still enjoyable, but I'd say the other items are way better. Portion sizes here are generous and I'd say they're good to have family style. The ambiance here is super casual and gives family restaurant vibes. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and I'd say the ambiance outside looks nicer. Service here is friendly and attentive. It is located in a fairly large plaza with a lot of parking.

I wanted to find out if this spot was as good as I had remembered it. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I was practically disappointed by two out of the three dishes. Two of them that should've been the best. I'll start out with the Mongolian beef. There was plenty of meat and onions and green onions, but there was no kick to it, not the greatest flavor either. It was also a little watery, which was a major letdown for me. I was really looking forward to enjoying it with the white rice that came with it. Next up was the chicken chow mein. I was expecting to have long noodles in its to go box but when I was eating it, it was small noodle cuts. That was a bit shocking for me. It also didn't have a lot of great flavor, and again I was let down. I did get vegetable fried rice, because who could actually screw that up. It was the best dish out of the three. Not a ton of flavor in it but enough for me to actually enjoy it. I tried using the leftover chow mein by putting it in a skillet and adding a few spices and oils. It improved it just a little bit, but not enough. Clearly, I can't go back here. It's like they say: buy cheap get cheap.

She did not let me down as we walked in and noticed how truly authentic it was going to look. Chinese decor on the walls and boxes of restaurant supples in the corners. Just as it should be. The bonus was that they had a TV showing the NBA Finals when we arrived. Pretty nice touch and in the back of the restaurant so as not to distract everyone. We went with a couple of our favorite dishes to run along and the Chicken Lo Mein was pretty good. Crispy pieces of chicken and soft noodles and veggies to go with it. We chose to get Mongolian Beef and it was absolutely fantastic. Crispy celery, green onions and decent sized pieces of meat in a terrific sauce. I would love to try to replicate that. My wife wanted a shrimp dish so she ordered the honey walnut and it even looked good to me when they brought it. She loves egg rolls, so she got a four piece and said they were pretty good. My biggest wow of the visit was their vegetable fried rice. MY GOD. I dont know what they season or flavor it with, but every fork full of rice that i ate, it was this sense of flavor that reminded me of butter or something else. I really loved the sensation i experienced from this particular dish. I am really curious on what it actually is. I will definitely be ordering out or coming in for Chinese because that reminded of many other places that put out fantastic dishes.

To be honest, the fried rice was a nice way to break the monotony of just plain ole white rice. I'd you like a good value, the entrees are also proportionally very generous. I thought both were quite good. You get plenty of protein and each dish tasted exactly how you'd expect them to taste. Highly recommend L V if you're in the mood for good ole Chinese food.

There's loads of amazing Thai places in Long Beach but you tend to go you the ones you like. I been to a good amount where they're highly rated but something about them isn't what I'm looking for. Some tends to be very Americanize, others are just whatever but people love them. I like what I like and this place is one of them. Like mentioned, whenever I'm in Long Beach a visit here is always a must. The service is amazing as all the staffs are very friendly and welcoming. The place isn't that big but a fairly decent amount of seating on both side. They do have a table out front but it's only one. Menu has pretty much a good selection of Thai dishes. I like what I like and tend to go for the same items as they are one of the place that makes it the way I prefer. And why is it some Thai places don't offer their classic dish, the boat noodles. I've been to a few and they don't offer it while some places, it's not that good. Here, it's alway consistent and very flavorful. That a must for me and alway ordered. We also love the papaya salad which you can have Thai style or Laos style. Depending on what your preference is. Their larb is great as well. Very flavorful and tasty. Of course our main items we tend to get here, the boat noodles which I love as it's flavorful, broth is perfect and all the extras added. Also all their curries are excellent. Lately we've been getting their massaman curries which the flavors is really nice. Whatever protein you like. The curries do come with a side of rice but an extra order is alway needed. Love it to have with the papaya salad and larb. All their dishes are great and very flavorful. Spice level varies on what you like but I tend to go with medium and add all the extra spices for myself with their sauce selection. We tend to alway be full even before being asked if we wanted dessert. The food is always amazing and the staff are always friendly and sweet. There's two restaurants that's a door apart and both are great but this one takes the cake for me. It's always a must when I'm in town as I know the food will alway be delicious. Highly recommended. Heads up, parking in the area is a bitch. It's all residential so people tend to stay in or else they're going to lose their spots. Just a heads up.

The fried rice was next level good. And the tom kha soup was excellent as well. I didn't love the drunken noodles themselves but the bbq pork on the dish was delicious. The fried pork belly was a little too tough to eat but the sauces it came with were both great. And the basil eggplant was solid.
