I don't really know about this place, it's a bit sketchy. The orange chicken seems to be the favorite, but it was SO chewy, that litterally my jaw was SORE. Deep fried to the point that the chicken inside was like thin beef jerky. I don't really want a jaw workout. The ladies that work there seem to not be happy to be working there and lack that normal Customer Service you'd expect lol. read more

Quality here has gone down big time. The beef and broccoli doesn't even taste like beef.the orange chicken has more batter than it does meat. They barely give your good amount of portions like other spots do. Also customer service from the lady in the back there was really rude and doesn't appear like she wants to work there. I suggest management do better training or find better employees. I can deal will low quality food for the right price but being rude to your customers for no reason is why I won't be returning. read more

This place has fantastic chinese fast food! Ordered from the overhead menu. Orange chicken, spicy chicken, mushroom chicken, beef broccoli, egg flower soup, rice and noodles. This place does not dissapoint. This is a hidden Gem. Food is delicous. Tell you the truth, you cant tell the difference between fast food vs dine in. Food is fresh and tasty!. They serve you large portions in a to go box! You get the best for your money. Totally affordable! Nice chinese people that serve you. Humble and gracious. You won't he dissapointed. Been coming to this place for over 10 years easily . This is by far the best Chinese food in Long Beach . Their orange chicken is forsure the best hands down . Some times there is a few inconsistent pieces but the flavor and hint of spice from the chili they put in definitely makes up for it . I personally ask for the orange chicken sauce on my chow mein that's the way to go . Love this place the workers even eventually recognize me I will drive all the way across town to come eat this fire Chinese food . Not too impressed ! This is more of a fast food pick up type ovation with mediocre taste . You get some blast noodles, rice is ok and I got orange chicken, beef broccoli and mushroom with chicken. This was the first time going there, I read the YELP reviews and they were so divided that I decided to just try it and then make my own decision. Yes, the ladies were super nice and the service was fast. But the food was not good at all. The food had no taste whatsoever. I didn't expect much but I didn't expect the food to be so tasteless either so it was a disappointment. This was recommended to me my nail salon (nearby) who even brought me a sample of the orange chicken. I went by after manicure. BUT. I didn't order the orange chicken, so, that's totally my bad. I ordered honey walnut skrimp and string bean chicken two combo with lo mein and fried rice. The to go container was STUFFED so full, I could not believe they provided so much food. It was my first time here. There not many Chinese food fast food places around. Specially being this good. The service was great, they were fast and friendly. The place was clean. But now let me talk about the food, I dislike when my BBQ pork it's dry, and this one was so yummy and juice with a lot of flavor. The walnut shrimp was amazing too, all the other sides we got were so good. Hope this new review helps since they don't have many new reviews or new pictures. And ignore all those reviews saying it was not like whatever restaurant they know, it's a fast food place! Anyways enjoy. P.S. for sure one of our fav places to eat now. read more

This lady was very rude. She tried to skimp me on my beef and broccoli and when I asked if I could have a little bit more of something else because it wasn't a full serving, she had the audacity to say oh my God in front of my face very rude ended up just having to leave the establishment. This is a Chinese takeaway place with a hot food bar. As it's close to home, we get this place fairly often for quick Chinese. It's reasonably fresh, and portions are large. Orange chicken and chow mein are go-tos. This place isn't going to win any awards for quality or atmosphere but the food is solid, very reasonably priced for what you get and good for a quick Americanized Chinese fried food fix. They do have a few tables there but not much ambiance, more utilitarian than anything. It has a slightly cluttered and dated feeling. But the ladies who serve the food are helpful, and the food is good so we will keep coming back, now that our #1 takeaway place (Chinese Combo in Signal Hill) recently closed. read more

I used to come to this place a lot a few years ago, but for some reason I stopped - I guess I was trying to eat healthy and cook more. Well after a busy day, I was not in the mood to cook. And I also wanted a lot of food. Remembering my last Chinese steam table restaurant experience, I decided to head back here. I got the two item combo with chow mein, orange chicken, and teriyaki chicken (no sauce). The portion was HUGE. So big I could hardly close the box. The combo also comes with an egg roll, drink, or soup. I got an egg roll and it was pretty good. The food itself was also pretty delicious. The chow mein noodles were well seasoned. The orange chicken really satisfied my craving - I was actually thinking about getting Panda but their noodles are so bad that I never go - but this place's orange chicken was very good. I wish they had bigger pieces of chicken though. The teri chicken was also really nicely flavored and had the charred taste I associate with teriyaki. All of that food for $10 is a steal. read more

I was throwing a 13th birthday party for my niece and I did not want to cook. She loves Panda Express orange chicken and beef and broccoli so I mentioned to my daughter let's order from there. She recommended Lucky Express as it would be more cost effective and they have a catering menu! Perfect! I ordered a large tray of beef and broccoli and orange chicken, a half tray of the barbecue pork and a large tray of the chow mein. I made my own steamed rice at home. I had about 45 guests and it was plenty of food! It saved me time and money, and for once I was able to enjoy one of my parties more without having to slave over the stove. I forgot to take pictures, but I can assure you everything looked great . It was packaged nicely, hot and fresh. My guests had no complaints. I'm surprised this place has such low reviews. It's a fast food Chinese place, so you have to manage your expectations in terms of quality and service. However, I've been here a few times and the food always tastes good and the customer service is pleasant. Ambiance is not super inviting although I've only been here in the evenings. They have plastic covering along the service counter and the lighting is dim with a few tables. I've never dined in, so it's not a big deal for me. Service is fine. Staff was not overly welcoming or friendly, but they were efficient and I got what I asked for, so can't really complain. Today my partner and I ordered a three item combo, an order of dumplings, and a can of coke. It was more than plenty of food and had enough leftover for at least one additional serving. For the combo we ordered half and half rice & chowmein, orange chicken, string bean chicken, and walnut shrimp. The shrimp was $1.50 extra, I didn't mind since it was going to be an inexpensive meal for two. The three item combo was $10 something before tax. Everything was yummy. I would have liked if the chicken and shrimp were crispy, but the flavors were good and they were cooked well. The string bean chicken was more veggies than chicken, but they tasted fresh and had a nice crisp to them. The combo comes with a drink, egg roll, or soup. I chose the egg roll. While I usually don't like egg rolls with a soft filling, these were good. The outside was nice and crispy, the filling was soft but not overly mushy, and it was flavorful. The sweet and sour was meh, it was obviously not made in house. The dumplings were filled with pork. I saw them grab a frozen bag and dump them in the fryer. It didn't bother me, but they're definitely not made in house. I didn't count how many came with the order, but it was a good amount I would say at least 6. They tasted fine. Not bad for the price ($6 something). Had to wait about 5 minutes to cook. It came with dipping sauce that tasted way better than the sweet and sour. The can of soda was $1. Total, we paid under $22 for two people. Not too bad considering we usually spend double that. I definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for something quick, filling, and affordable that's not a chain /drive through spot. read more

My family and I love this place for a quick fast comfort food. I got the spicy chicken and I loved it. I would say it's a level 7/10 spicy which I love! Good stuff at this little restaurant. We usually get combination plates with two choices. Always the BBQ Pork. Their BBQ Pork is so delicious. We love the fried rice too. The crab rangoons are wonderful. They give a huge portion and we generally have enough for two or more meals. Totally recommend. Everything is always fresh and hot. Yummy! read more
