Our order consisted of four SoCal fries (which are basically buffalo fries from The Buffalo Spot with a drizzle of cheese and ranch), a 10-piece nugget, a small fry, a large order of mozzarella sticks, a Thai tea, and a few sides of sauces. To speak bluntly, the experience turned sour for me as soon as I started placing my phone order. While I was ordering sauces, I was rudely cut off by the man working: "Yeah, yeah, anything else?" I felt like I was being rushed off the phone, even after mentioning it was my first time ordering and kindly asking questions about their sauces. The customer service here just overall gave me the ick. Anyways, onto the food. I was super excited for my SoCal fries. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, and I opted for the spicy BBQ. On first impression I was surprised with the generous portions. I ordered a small Socal fries that looked more like a medium. As soon as I dug into my meal, I was met with immediate disappointment; the popcorn chicken on my SoCal fries was extremely stale. It tasted as if they served us three-day-old fried chicken that had been left sitting out. My siblings and mom also agreed the chicken was super hard. I…read morehate that 18 bucks is an entirely reasonable amount of money to charge for one Thai entree these days, being I remember a time it would've been literally half that, so it was great when a few days ago we were looking to order a quick dinner for pickup through Doordash, originally planning on using a 25%-off coupon, until saw a new Thai place was offering BOGOs on several popular items, including their Thai tea and our favorite Thai noodle dish, pad se ew, which was obviously better than 25% off. So we each got a pad se ew, and I drank a a Thai tea and saved the other one, sans ice, for later. Whether or not they'll still be running a BOGO , but they were an entirely reasonable amount of food to be an entree, and that is just market price for a quality entree these days; I can't live in 2015 forever, unfortunately. I'd definitely buy Thai food here *more* if they kept running BOGOs, though. Anyway, other than being $18, everything about the pad se ew we got was great. Well, maybe it could've used a tiny bit more Chinese broccoli, but I'm happy to report, it *was* Chinese broccoli (a pet peeve of mine, supposedly-Thai places that use American broccoli, a much-inferior vegetable to gai lan), the pork was great, the noodles were perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and a decent sized amount. And, unlike the last couple times I've picked up a Doordash order from Thai District... it was actually ready to be picked up when Doordash told me to pick it up (not too long after ordering), instead of telling me it was ready quickly but then having me wait another 20 minutes once I got there :p. I was totally happy to have gambled on a new place. Thai Tea was also great. No complaints about it, a regular sized Thai tea. Again, $6 being a regular price *feels* wrong to me, but doesn't appear to actually be wrong these days. Or at least, it *is* wrong that everything's this expensive now, but that isn't Thai Rim Naan's fault. $6 for *two* quality Thai teas is of course a much better deal, if they happen to be running that deal when you read this, and you have a use for two Thai teas. :p
