I was at the barbershop nextdoor and saw a decent amount of traffic at this place so I decided to give it a try. I got Mongolian beef and mei fun, both were disappointing. The beef was chewy and the mei fun had about a half a cup of tan colored liquid in the container. It tasted like chicken broth. This actually tastes almost authentically "New York" and might just be our new favorite neighborhood Chinese. We had the General Tso's Chicken, Roast Pork with Chinese Vegetables, Beef Fried Rice, House Special Soup, and Roast Pork Lo Mein. The portion sizes were very big for the price, we'll be eating leftovers for days! The subtotal for the food was around $50. I really enjoyed the House Special Soup which had loads of fresh vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, carrots, snow peas, mushrooms) and meats (roast pork, chicken, shrimp) in a chicken soup type clear broth. It was accompanied by a bag of fried wonton skins which tasted slightly bitter, like they had been fried in old oil. We didn't order it, but an egg roll arrived with the delivery order, so guessing they included that for free. The noodles in the lo mein had the perfect chew and the sauce was good, but included surprisingly little meat, especially considering the quantity of meat in the other dishes. But overall, still good, and will be ordering again. read more

Not bad in terms of Chinese take out. I enjoy their soups, lo mein, and really addicting crab rangoons. I also tried the Happy Family which has pork, chicken, and shrimp. The pork was a bit tough, but good brown sauce. They use yellow rice for fried rice, which I'm not a fan. Hong Kong is located behind O Reileys and where the old Georgia Department of Labor used to be. It's right next to a barber shop with plenty of parking, and sometimes you will see people hanging around outside. It looks sketchy, but has been harmless the times I've been. FYIs, the health score September 2018 was 81. They offer delivery and take out. read more

This is my favorite place for American Chinese take out. Located in a strip mall, the restaurant itself isn't much to look at but the food is top notch for what it is. My husband loves the moo goo gai pan and so far I pretty much like everything. Their service is super speedy and everything is ready in 10 minutes. The lunch special portions are very big and come with a spring roll and a plain fried chicken wing. Their spring rolls are filled with pretty much just cabbage but I still love them. I was quite disappointed with the food. We ordered a huge array of food including sesame chicken, lo mein, crab rangoon, shrimp fried rice, and ribs. The sesame chicken was dried out pieces of chicken in an okd sauce. The crab rangoon only contained cream cheese with no pieces if crab, and the lo mein was old and rubbery. The place is very hole in the wall esque. Not super clean looking. The cashier was friendly though. We order steamed dumplings, some chicken kabob thing, general tso chicken and the house lo Mein. But the wait took like 20-30 min and we were the only people in there when we placed our order. However.... while we were waiting a few people came in ... one of which was "a former drug abuser and I know this because she aptly told us she is clean now after another customer in the store told her she needed to turn her life around... to say the least there was a lot of drama going on. It is definitely New York style Chinese take-out, from the peculiar (but delicious) style of the chow mein, served with both rice and noodles, to the fried frozen seafood appetizers and the spicy Singapore mai fun. I like their egg foo yung, as well, which can be hard to find these days. The dumplings are a little on the heavy side, but the flavor is good and they are filling. Fried won tons are crispy and come with plenty of dipping sauce. This is not fine dining, but it is reliable, homey food at a good price and with a lot of variety. The mall location is kind of run-down and dreary, but the staff is very friendly and has always made good whenever there was a (rare) problem. Especially since there are not many restaurants in this neighborhood besides the fast food chains, Hong Kong is one of our regular go-to favorites. read more

I went on the recommendation of a neighbor and I really like this place. The dining room was clean and the service was fast. I ordered online and the food was ready about 3 minutes after I arrived. I ordered 2 soups and 2 entrees and everything was delicious. This is your typical Chinese take-out with photos of each dish on the wall. That said, this is some of the best 'typical Chinese take-out" I have ever had. Servings per entree will feed 2-3 people and come with lots of white rice. Small soup was enough for me for one meal. Reading reviews beforehand I had some concern about the servers, but they were very nice. The lady who seems to run this place was very friendly and spoke good English. She did have one level of speaking and that was LOUD, but I suspect that is her culture and not because she is rude. I suggest you order online to make things easier. read more

The dumpling wrapper was very thick and the filling just fell out once you took a bite.
