Here's what I loved during my visit: Food: * Honey Walnut Shrimp 5/5 - Crispy shrimp with a delicious mayonnaise-based glaze with a hint of orange. This was my favorite dish that we ordered! * General Chicken 5/5 - If you like something crispy and saucy with a slight kick, you'll love this! I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious this was! * Mongolian Beef 3.5/5 - I'm used to this dish being spicier, but whoever's sensitive to spice would enjoy this! * Egg rolls 4/5 - Came out hot and crispy with a side of sweet and sour sauce. The cabbage filling was nicely cooked down and almost creamy in texture. * Shrimp Chow Mein - 4/5 I'm not sure if it's because I got the last of the serving, but I wish there were more noodles than onions and bell peppers. Got there early and had to wait 5 more minutes so was able to peruse the menu and take pics to update their Yelp menu profile! Restaurant is clean and well maintained. Lots of people dining in and lots of people also picking up to go orders. We got the beef chow fun and honey walnut shrimp. The chow fun was very tasty and not super greasy like some restaurants. We tried the General chicken (crispy, perfection with the right balance of sweet and spicy) and the Beef Chow Fun (wok-fired goodness with tender meat and fresh veggies). While staying at a local rv park, we were looking for a nice Chinese restaurant for some take out. One of our friends recommended Hong Kong Seafood. They mentioned it has recently come under new management so I looked up the menu and read reviews. Sometimes people are overly critical but overall customers were positive, so we gave it a try. It's not often that businesses exceed your expectations, but this restaurant sure did. We had the egg rolls, Mongolian beef and steamed rice. Everything was excellent. You can tell the egg rolls were house made. The beef was nicely seasoned and tender. Serving size was generous. We had friends at home who owned and ran a family Chinese restaurant for years. We always held them as the standard for great Chinese cuisine. Hong Kong is every bit as good. Service was very professional and the hostess had everything ready when I arrived. Evie and Paul have taken over the restaurant. The quality of the food has improved overall. They have also made the restaurant brighter and more inviting. They are open to suggestions. We suggested brown rice and it is now available as a side or as a substitute for white rice on the rice plates. Our favorites are the chow fun (bbq pork and veggie). My wife likes the egg foo yung. New Ownership is all positive. Lunch. I had Deluxe Chow Mein which includes all meats and schrimp. Extremely tasty. My friend had Honey Walnut Schrimp and small bowl of Rice. He raved about it and I got to have one. Probably the best I've ever had. My only complaint was the ice team. Not strong enough but the owner said they are trying to get the right strength. In a small town with only a handful of restaurants, Hong King Seafood is a stand out. A small, lovely place with a small but wonderful menu. So far evey dish I have tried has been delicious, particularly their pot stickers, barbequed pork noodle soup, mongolian beef and shrimp chow mein. I ate here once a month ago and The food although it took a while was delicious BUT I ordered from them recently to go and the food was not great to put it politely but the real nail in the coffin was a piece of nail or needle that was in the pork so I don't know what happened with the restaurant or where they get there meat from but will not go there again for a while. read more

I don't have anything unpleasant or really a concern about this location. With me starting with four stars. Being that it was just our first visit here yes our first meal was very pleasant. The owners are very nice although we visited here on a warm day we still enjoyed ourselves. But I would like to do another visit or two to ensure that, I can rate as a five star. The meals here are served as family style, which is a great place for two people having dinner so there your portions will be very much so enjoyed. From the looks of it they used to serve buffet, but I'm not sure if that is still something that happens there. The ambience location and building. But the food was really good and fresh. I did notice a lot of the locals coming in and enjoying their meals or picking up something to go for their dinner. There is storefront parking not metered. However, I did notice a lot of the locations around the area Are only accepting cash due to High credit card fees. And also not running AC for the possibility of being an older building board needs repairs. So there was a tall standing fan circulating throughout our visit. I would like to visit here again to ensure that my next rating will turn into a five star. read more

I happened to be in the small town and stopped here for lunch. The place was a little crowded and they only had one waitress working. I had to grab my own menu because the gal was overwhelmed and going back and forth between customers. But that wasn't her fault as she didn't have help. I ordered Mongolian beef. I gotta say it was the worst tasting Mongolian beef I ever had. It didn't have the typical flavor you experience when ordering Mongolian beef. It was actually very salty tasting. Which is not normal for that particular dish. The food was ok but I only ate what I was able to. But needless to say I won't be eating there again. The atmosphere wasn't bad. Having lived here in Rio Vista for over 8 years, my expectations in finding an authentic Chinese restaurant has diminished from extremely low to 'why bother ...' That's until my wife and I sampled Paul's cuisine at the Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant in downtown Rio Vista tonight. His dishes are on par with some of the finest Hong Kong has to offer. Having been born and raised in H.K. I am acutely aware of the unique 'wok' flavor emanating from the 'Dry Fried Beef Noodles' dish. The Sweet n Sour pork was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sauce was extremely tasty and not overbearingly sweet, as evident in most Chinese eateries. His wife Evie is delightfully charming. This will now be my go-to restaurant for delicious, yet very affordable, Chinese cuisine. read more

Each time we try to order something different ... but always we fall back on favorites. And of course there is Wor Wonton soup ....
