My second favorite place in town. I grew up knowing the owners and can't overlook your ethics. It once was my favorite place but the quality does seem as great as my favorite spot. As any buffet Iya best to go when they first open or when they are busy. That completely when they have the freshest food. read more

In the last 10 months, my husband and I have noticed a decline in the quality of their food. When we ordered the first couple of meals, the food was hot and very good. However in the last few months the fried rice is white rice and turmeric (yellow), this isn't fried rice. The food is now tepid (warm), as if they took some of the food from the buffet instead of cooking it fresh. We don't plan on eating there again. read more

This is my most favorite restaurant. I love their food. You will get your money's worth. The people who work there are very friendly and respectful. Note: they are not open on Monday. There could be improvement for parking but other than that four thumbs up. Yummy, yummy, yummy read more

Very tasty beef and broccoli and it was definitely enough for two people. The Hot and Sour soup was perfectly spicy and the Garlic Chicken had lots of just crunchy enough stir fried veggies. read more

Got shrimp fried rice with no taste. Rice was hard not cooked. Also got sisame chicken that was hard rice not cooked. Also the chicken fried rice was not cooked it was hard. I was feeding my 91 year old mother. After the meal statedi that her stomach was hurting. This was a disgrace. I get food about every 1 to 2 months with no problem. read more

Ever since I moved here from NC, (7 years ago) I've been craving really good sesame chicken. I will be honest, I wish I would have found this place when I moved here, because they have the best sesame chicken I've tasted since I've been living here. This is without a doubt the best Chinese buffet in the Thomasville Georgia area and veggies were fresh and the meat it's fresh I kept the buffet up very quickly and the price is reasonable I highly recommend eating at this restaurant read more

Best Chinese restaurant in Thomasville. Staff is always so sweet and attentive. Food is always fresh. I love that it's downtown because it's so convenient when I'm in the area. They have a lot of different foods both in the buffet and on the menu. My stomach is growling just thinking about their delicious food. Fan for life! read more

My hubby informed me before a trip that he wanted to eat Chinese food for lunch. I'm not a fan of Chinese buffets - most of them all taste the same and have the same issues (dirty bathrooms, food has been left on buffet for too long, over-cooked, etc.). I chose Hong Yip because of other Yelp reviews. I wasn't disappointed at all. I was rather surprised. The food was fresh, the place was clean and the price was perfect. I'd recommend this to other friends as a go-to for good Chinese food. read more

Our mains consisted of the daily blue, two had the new chicken sandwich, and I ordered the duroc aged pork chop. Liam's is fancy now, with mains not coming with sides. This certainly cranked up the bill. I had the pork chop, which was really small despite the declared weight and the price of $45. The taste was good, but didn't really impress me. The daily blue had skin that was charred, but the fish part was good. My daughter wasn't impressed with that. The chicken sandwiches, however, were a hit. Go figure. All but the daily blue ordered a side dish. Two had the mashed potatoes, which were good, I ordered the side with stringy cheese, prosciutto, peaches, and sliced peppers. No flavor. I get the bill and there is a $9.40-something charge in there for a "non-cash transaction". Also, my two drinks were charged a dollar more than the menu price. With everything there at a premium price (a larger and much better pork chop can be had at St James for more than $10 less - with sides!), everything is a la carte, and a silly charge for not having cash means I'm done with Liam's. The place where I discovered my first and favorite scotch, a love for unique cheeses, and great cooking techniques has been outdone by at least one local competitor while increasing prices and serving less. It's a shame, but they never seem to be full, so instead of improving value and delivery, they've gone to increasing prices.

They make their own dipping sauces. They also sell cool products and wine at the front. Service is on point, always friendly and fast.
