Food is SPECTACULAR. Don't listen to these other reviewers who crap on the food. They don't know a thing about genuine asian food and what a quality hole in the wall is. You can't tell me you know more about Chinese and Asian flavors food than a guy who is ACTUALLY FROM TAIWAN! He knows what he brings to the table and its 11/10. I ordered the Chow Fun with 0.5 spice and my wife got Hot and Sour Soup with 4 spice. We loved all of it and a re coming back for sure! The Chow Fun was delicious. The perfect ratio of Beef, noodles, sauce and veggies. You can test the sauce and Wok Hei in every bite. Everything was fresh too. My personal biggest point for the dish tho was the noodles! Every noodle was coated and cooked perfectly. Loved every bite. Owner is the chillest and funnest guy ever running this show entirely SOLO! Running it alone is no small task. Super extroverted and amazing to talk to just be ready to talk back cause you'll want to have a convo with him. Ambiance is what it is. Placed an order for pickup. Food was fresh and hot, the owner was finishing up the dishes when we arrived. Ordered orange chicken one of the best Ive had in a long time and made with natural oranges, no neon orange color! Pork fried rice, szechuan beef, pork chop suey, mei fun vegetable noodles and wonton soup. Everything was nicely seasoned, and delicious. Spice level we got a .5 and it was enough to taste it and feel it but not overly spicy. Overall great service, the restaurant was empty but was clean and quiet. RUN FOREST RUNNNNNNN!!! DECIDED to take yet another risk today and it was a disaster. Over $25 dollars wasted on ardent greasy minced meat beef fried rice, over cooked miniature egg rolls and burnt dry Crab Rangoon! I ordered: Beef fried rice, crab rangoon and egg rolls! I got!! The foe beef fried rice was ardent the color was black, it had a veggie mix that included CORN!!! GREASY minced BEEF, either bottom or eye of round. Dry , inedible and microscopic!! The only flavor profile I could detect was stale grease. The CRAB RANGOON!! The filling was a stringy imitation crab meat mixed with a 1/4 teaspoon of imitation cream cheese. MIA was the crab meat, cream cheese, green onion, seasoning and flavor! The nasty after taste was revolting! The Egg Roll Trio: The filling had a grey/green hue nothing in the blob I pulled out resembled an egg roll filling! The taste was identical to the rice and crab Rangoon . Dirty oil and stale product.... I believe the all in one, owner/waiter/cook/dishwasher/server took my order. He gave me a short speech on the freshness of the food. I order delivery from this place once a week and the food is amazing. It's delicious, the prices are reasonable and their portions are very generous. The one problem is that they always find a way to mess up my order. They forget the coke I ordered, no chopsticks when I ask for them, no soy sauce, etc. In fact, yesterday I ordered delivery and they gave me everything I ask for, but the Dr. Pepper that came with the meal was hot. Pretty good place. We live within walking distance so we frequent this place somewhat often, once a month or so. To me, the standard that all Chinese restaurants should do well are egg rolls. Their egg rolls are not very good. They're not bad, they're just not good, average at best. I really like their beef fried rice. Has nice flavor to it. Their sweet and sour chicken is also pretty good with minimal breading and nice flavor to the chicken. Most of the time, it's just a 1 man shop operating. I give the man kudos for running the shop by himself. Because of the 1 man shop, service can be hit or miss. The dining room is rarely occupied, seems most customers get their food to go. Would I eat here again? Yes. Is it more because of the convenient location than because of the food? I would say yes. It's not bad, it's not good but for El Paso, it's good enough. read more

I'm sad to say that my one last, decent Chinese food restaurant either tanked or just had a bad day in the kitchen. I suspect new management which would be a pity. My orange chicken was hard and chewy, I didn't even recognize the chicken teriyaki, and the sesame chicken was just barely ok. We've been ordering from them every Christmas Day for about 7 years. Dear sweet baby jeebus!!! The Singapore noodles are reminiscent of some of the higher end Chinese restaurants in California. I can't get enough of the kung pao chicken because they leave out the celery for me. Like I said, dear sweet little tiny baby jeebus, this is good stuff. Eating IN the place is a bit weird. I usually have them deliver, because I mean, delivered Chinese food!! But sitting in the restaurant really showcases their skills. The tastes are a million times better. This is good Chinese take out. The food is always ready in 10 min, fresh, and piping hot. The egg rolls are crisp and not greasy. They have no problems with special requests. The vegetables are crispy. I enjoyed the spicy eggplant. It was not cooked to mush. They are generous with the rice and the condiments. I ordered chicken almond ding and they were very generous with the whole toasted almonds. Dinner portions are very generous. Service is very friendly. I have only ordered take out. read more

We came in and order the Peking duck whole. And requested it be simply cut down the middle so we could split it which was no problem. They were very friendly and accommodating to special requests and understood us perfectly well. The fine in experience is a bit bland as it's more a take out place but the tables chairs and dining area were clean and welcoming..just a little bland on atmosphere. I agree with Matt L. Below. My favorite think is combo fried rice and General's chicken so I have my faves I go for. Last week I reviewed my takeout menu before order. I tried the house chow fun (combo) and beef in garlic sauce. Both were really well prepared. I got the chow fun with the flat noodles and they were delicious. I've had enough to say I would trust anything on this menu. I for one am enjoying the 4 or 5 go to chinese restaurants we now have on the west side. We all know them: China House, Peking Garden, Sun Garden, Golden Budah. Currently for my money Hongda is the place to go due to location, quality of food, they say 10 minutes and its ready in 10 minutes, friendly staff. read more

I am a Lo Mein and Chow Mein junkie and this place has the best Chinese food on the west side. Spring rolls and egg drop were on point.

Placed an order for delivery. Waited for over an hour. Called back to check on status. They responded it would be an additional 30 minutes after having said the same thing to another patron over the phone who cancelled their order. I cancelled my order as well and the person taking my call was unphased, unapologetic, and more concerned with getting me to cancel my order. This food was so disgusting we paid our bill and left our full plates on our table completely uneaten. The appetizers were ok (spring rolls and wontons), but my God, the General Tao's chicken was so bad I spit it into my napkin. It tasted like something out of the sewer. My husband didn't believe me, so he tasted it. It was slightly gratifying to hear the gagging noises after he attempted a bite.
