Visiting from the East Coast and had a hankering for sushi. Riyoma delivered absolutely delicious pieces of nigiri with the perfect amount of rice, a fresh and tasty squid salad, and a dragon roll that was my favorite item that I had. The restaurant has a very welcoming environment and is very cozy. I sat at the sushi bar, as I dined alone, so service was minimal but satisfactory to the experience I wanted of a quiet and quick lunch. If I happen to be in the area again, I know exactly where to go for sush

Food was very fresh, i came on a Tuesday night so service was prompt. It was very clean and the staff was nice. They had holiday music playing low which was nice and it was super comfortable! Most of all sushi was super good, definitely will return!

Riyomas is the best place in town for traditional sushi and well worth the price. We have followed Ungí chef /owner since he owned Jackpot Sushi in northeast El Paso. He is a wonderful sushi chef he took over Riyomas when original owner retired. The food is great and the prices are competitive. Our family favorite "spicy scallops hand roll" , safe go to is Chirashi bowl or sushi' sampler no other place makes it as delicious. My personal guilty pleasure is Uni, it's sweet and buttery.

Very good sushi place very traditional and has a wide selection of dishes. The palace is super clean and the service is on point. Will definitely come back.

I stumbled upon this place looking for "decent" sushi. I'm so glad I did because they are far more than decent. Let's start off with saying, I've been to the original markets in Japan and have had sushi there. This is not that, HOWEVER, in consideration for it being El Paso, TX where sushi is not on the map here, this place is worth the shout out. I had a donburi, fresh sashimi and multiple rolls. I've been here several time and although the items can add up, I never leave feeling disappointed even with a heftier price tag. The food is made with the freshest ingredients and the sushi is hand crafted in front of you. The UNI was especially sweet and being that I know the authentic type should come in a wooden box, we'll you know it did when the sushi chef brought it out. The staff is as friendly as if being in Japan. They truly cared if we enjoyed our dish and truly apologetic if an item was out...which to me, is a good sign. Selling out is better than being discounted on food, so you know there is constant turn over. This place is a gem in EP. continue to support them and keep them alive. You will not find sushi places like this in Texas to be as authentic as they are.

I'm always skeptical about seafood in El Paso, but the reviews here about the fresh fish convinced me to give it a try. Ambiance - Plenty of seating with a traditional Japanese feel. The server was very patient and even told me that they kept their fish fresh by importing it from LA on a weekly basis. Food - Tried a ton of different things, but the outstanding ones were the sushi. As expected, the fish itself tasted fresh and well made. My only issue was that while the fish was really good, the rice was definitely not up to standard (which is odd, because it's usually the other way around?) Overall, while I enjoyed the experience overall, it is a bit far from the West side and the rice was just not up to par. I'm giving it a 4 because of the quality of the fish, but I just wish the sushi was balanced with good fish AND good rice. Hopefully this happens during the next visit.

Amazing food all around amazing I've been coming here for over a decade The owner is the Sushi Chef and he buys the best quality fish available and has his special touches on everything. Sounds so simple but the best thing on the menu is their spicy tuna. Must go You won't regret it and for non-sushi lovers they have great other options too.

Best sushi by far in the El Paso, Alamogordo, Las Cruses area. Being from hawaii, I have pretty high standards in sushi. The fish is fresh, the service and very good. They are so kind. But the sushi is for real soo good. My kids normally get the udon and love it.

I'm a sushi aficionado. And this place is always very satisfying. I wish the ambiance here was more comfortable and relaxing; alittle romantic. I think what they need to do is dim the lights alittle bit. Other than that, I love this hidden jewel. My sons and I started with Gyoza dumplings w a special dipping sauce. They were tasty. My youngest son is a dumpling expert and he gave them two thumbs up. I also ordered the Vegetable Tempura. The portions are smaller than most Japanese restaurants. But they are tasty. We ordered 4 rolls. The rainbow roll is always a great choice because you get to sample how fresh the sushi truly is. It's not deep fried and they are not clouded with cream cheese. And the fish here is fresh. The caterpillar roll was very tasty. And the presentation is awesome. If you have kids, order this roll. They will love it. The Crunch roll was my favorite. It has shrimp tempura inside the roll and the outside is really crunchy. It's a great change from the previous two rolls that are soft and mushy. This was my favorite roll. My least favorite was the Crown Roll. It's warm and I don't like warm sushi rolls. It's also covered with a spicy mayonnaise sauce. This is just my preference. I don't like the mayo sauce. But my sons liked the warm roll. For a change. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a great relaxing and quiet place to have fresh sushi. Yum.

Delicious food , I love to eat the sushi here . Only one chef which means you'll always get the same consistency . Very generous with their portions and great service

My husband is a fan of hibachi style cuisine so we looked up a spot near our home and Koze was the first to pop up! They also had good reviews so we were all for it. When we first arrived the hostess asked if we wanted to be seated at the grill (for show) or the dining room. Since my husband does like watching the cook do his thing, we opted to wait the 15-20 minutes for a grill to become available. Next time we will definitely make note to call ahead and make a reservation though! Once we were seated we looked over the menu to see our options. I will say that the service at Koze was a bit lacking. Our waitress took quite a while to come around for our drink order, main course and then at the end of the evening for us to pay our bill. I'm not sure if she was serving a lot of other tables for the night but that was just our experience. It would have been nice if she came around more so we weren't looking for her. My husbands parents got the shrimp and scallop meal to split, my husband ordered the chicken and scallops. I, however, decided to try their sushi - so I got the California roll and the BBQ salmon roll. Once the chef came around to start cooking (which took quite a while) he started the show. I will also note that there was a bit of a language barrier between us and the chef. He tried asking us questions, such as if we were celebrating a birthday, but it was very hard for us to understand what he was saying. We could also tell he was a bit new at the job because certain "tricks" he'd mess up on or had to try a couple times before he got it right. For the food, I will say that I did enjoy my sushi. Both rolls were delicious! My husband ate mostly the protein on his plate. They give a huge portion of fried rice for the main courses, it's definitely enough for two people. I believe his parents said they thought the meal was good as well. I think it came down to the service we received which kind of left a bad impression. The food was good it was just the lack of service that left me wanting more. I know there are other hibachi restaurants in El Paso. I will probably try those with my husband. I wouldn't mind coming back to Koze, I understand maybe they were just having a bad day. But I would also try other places.

Is it the best ramen I've ever had? No, but it was good and it was pleasant until it wasn't. A man came in to the restaurant and approached my husband and I. I thought he was going to try and sell us something as this has happened to me a few times here in El Paso. I'm not from here, my husband is stationed here and I haven't seen anything like this since I was a young adult living in the inner city of Los Angeles. So while I'm not alarmed by this, I am put off by it. This experience was different though, the man was panhandling. I have never ever been approached for money inside an establishment. It was very awkward as my Spanish is extremely elementary and my husband doesn't speak it. I tried to explain to the man that I didn't have cash on me and was desperately hoping the staff would kindly help the man. He lingered for a long time, almost ruining our lunch. The man waiting on us saw and did nothing. Listen, I'm not heartless but I can't help every person panhandling. The staff should take care of this situation and not pass on the responsibility to their customers. I'm sorry but this looks very poorly on the City of El Paso which I hate to say, I think it's a wonderful beautiful city. If I were not Latina or hadn't experienced similar situations like this in my youth I'd have been clutching my pearls and would have left. I know this will come off as heartless, it broke my heart. I don't know this man or his situation and I couldn't properly communicate with him, put on the spot at that. Please, staff at establishments, handle these situations in kind, dignified ways to both your customers and people fallen on hard times- it's your responsibility, not the customer's.
