First time experiencing a bar in Nashville and honestly... it was such a fun time We came here the other night and I was excited because I heard we were going to a honky tonk bar, so I was fully expecting country music and line dancing Even though there wasn't much line dancing, it was still such a vibe. They had a live cover band playing everything from rock, country, and even some R&B, which honestly made it even more fun because everyone was singing along and having a great time. The drinks here are STRONG lol but really good. I had their "Just Peachie" drink (or something close to that ) and wow... after 3 of those your girl was definitely feeling it hahaha The whole atmosphere was super welcoming, energetic, and fun. I loved just people watching and seeing everyone enjoying themselves. It really felt like one big good time. Great place overlooking broadway. This place consistently has quality house bands on each floor that all put on a great show. I've been a customer here for many years and the mid-day band on the main stage on the first floor has been performing there as a group for years. Be sure to tip for "the devil went down to Georgia" it's a unique performance. Service is great and food is good for bar style fast food. I genuinely like this place and it has a more classic feeling to it than many of the newer bars on broadway. Big cavernous, roomy bar on a corner. Huge wrap around bar with TVs, lots of seating and great country bands! We got some apps/bar bites, the tater tots and pretzels were perfect to soak up all the beers we consumed! Hic* The server was sweet and helpful! Lots of folks singing and dancing! Great spot to people watch and check out the Broadway! It's a tad sad that all these great bands work for tips and basically beg with a bucket. Then the singer got on the bar and danced on the bar with her butt in the patrons faces... kinda tacky, not appropriate for this type of bar, (this isn't a strip club) pretty desperate move. I guess ya do what ya gotta do! She got the men to tip her, duh? Anyway, we were happy to tip the bands and we've tipped every one of them!! I've been to here twice now: once at night when it was crazy crowded and once during the early evening when it was quite slow. Honestly, I enjoyed both; just depends on the vibe you're going for. They have multiple floors of live music with the first floor being the most lively. It was my last night during my short trip to Nashville. I had an early flight so I wanted to check out a spot that seemed to have a bit more of a chill vibe. The music was good and it was pretty crowded. Luckily I was easily able to find a chair at the bar. I didn't go check the other spots within this establishment. Service is solid. Food is shockingly very good lol. Crazy how you have to go to Broadway to find actually decent bar food. Ambiance is obviously great and a total party but the music can be way too loud. And before you judge me, I am a young guy, not some old angry man, so I really mean it when I say it's too loud. I know it's supposed to be loud and a full time party but that's not when I'm talking about. I go during the slow weekdays sometimes for a good chicken wrap and the singers (who are trying to get discovered) are mostly terrible and playing their music full volume when there's only 3 people in the entire place. There's so much talent in Nashville! And the Honky Tonk Central stages is one of many places where you can visit on Broadway to get your musical feels. Their acts cover all genres, mostly country, but if you're on level 2 you'll get a good mix of pop and rock. The venue is cool because it's on a corner (4th St S) so there are balconies of either side of the upper levels. Shout out to LB - the coolest most attentive server who handled my group of 30 people with style and grace all by himself without even breaking a sweat! And a big shout out to Gina and Laura who helped reserve the tables for my group when I was desperate and scrambling last minute to find an alternative solution because our first choice venue cancelled on us due to severe weather. Fried pickles were really good. We each got a drink. The live music was really good. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were quick and friendly. The restrooms were clean which is a huge plus. The one thing that we didn't like is that they keep your credit card behind the bar if you want to leave the tab open. Not a fan of when places do that. read more

Honky Tonk Central was one of several bars I stopped in while walking the Broadway strip in Downtown Nashville. It goes without saying that there is no shortage of bars in this area, so I think what makes one stand out from the rest are the drinks and the entertainment offered. Even with that, it's easy to be non-committal since none of the bars here charge covers. Anyway, I'm digressing; Honky Tonk Central offers pretty much what I've come to expect - live music and basic drinks. When I stopped in there was a band playing covers of 80s/90s pop/rock/country songs (again, standard) - I got lucky it wasn't too crowded and was able to get a stool at a table with a good view of the band. Decor/aesthetics were basic and casual - nothing too noteworthy which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Drinks were fine, I had a sweet tea vodka which was pretty standard. They serve food but I opted out of eating this trip so unfortunately I can't speak to it. Overall, in my view, Honkey Tonk Central is pretty standard when it comes to Nashville bars - it doesn't stand out too much to me but I don't think it's a bad spot. If you're bar hopping up an down the strip, it's worth stopping in. read more

Came in as our last stop Sunday night of thanksgiving weekend girls birthday trip. My two girlfriends were crashing fast but this place picked them right up! They aren't country fans and this was by far their favorite music of our trip! We danced our butts off! We also laughed our butts off! They made me wear a crown and sash and that was quite the attention getter from the young (barely 21) Eastern European boys hahahaha. I also had a Russian guy ask if I was getting married half a dozen times and finally I said yes tomorrow and the face he made was priceless. I personally love this bar. There are so many bars in the area that blast music so loud that it's hard to have a conversation. I think this place does it just right. Our party of 10 opted to sit upstairs around the bar and unfortunately, I don't know the name of our waitress, but she was extremely attentive. Wheeling around this place for a few hours, only because it was pouring outside, but the band was great, and the bathrooms are relatively clean. Visited late night on a Monday and the place was jumping! The band was playing mostly 90s alt covers which really got the crowd moving. There were lots of seating options and dance floor space when we were there but I could see how it would get full really quick. We stayed on the main floor so can't speak to the upper levels. Security was great covering the floor and walking the sidewalk right outside the open windows frequently. Drink service was pretty good. Overall the space is one of the older ones so it's a little run down but it matches the feel of many of the other bars nearby. It's a great spot to check out for a drink and see if the band is one you would like. read more

Honky Tonk Central is one of the best places to sit, watch the people go by, while listening to good music and eating great food! The cod fish and chips was cooked perfectly! It was so good I ordered another entree! Yes, I really did! I think that's a first for me. The fish had the best flavor, texture, crunch and flakiness. I could not believe how delicious the fish was. Make sure and order it when you go. My service was excellent! The music was excellent! The venue is excellent! I highly recommend and they take reservations! It's very close to the Ryman, Bridgestone arena and on Broadway. There is valet parking so park and play all day and night for one price. read more

Looking to be apart of the night life, my sister and I came across this place as it was one of the many options on Broadway. This place had multiple floors with a couple of live bands playing to fit whatever style you want. There's also a rooftop and full bar. We never ended up getting a drink but the experience was interesting in itself. May need to try this place again in the future! read more

Checked this place out based on a Tik Tok suggestion & I was not disappointed. It was a little noisy on the second floor with the band and crazy bachelorette parties yet manageable to enjoy the balcony view. It was great to eat and get a nice tan at the same time. We ordered the Southern Style BBQ Sandwich and the Turkey Bacon Club sandwich with a couple of Hop Perfect IPAs. The bbq sandwich was super filling and I struggled to finish the sandwich without going into a food coma. The meat was tender and paired amazing with their French fries that had such a great seasoning. This was recommended by our server who checked in on us every 5 minutes. Bud light and a shot (cinnamon toast crunch) was about $25 dollars. Crazy. Bartenders stare at phone and don't help you. Service was worst in Nashville. I gave a 3 dollar tip on this tab because it took 5-10 minutes of trying to get this girl's attention when her and another bartender were just showing each other pictures on their phones and not helping anyone at the bar. When I checked my statement in a couple days, she had added extra money to her tip (turned the 3 to an 8). Be careful. Sure this happens all the time in this establishment.
