After a very fun night in Nashville we stopped off at the diner for a cup of coffee and muffin to start the day and drive to Knoxville. The coffee line is just off to the side and quick and efficient for those looking for a quick grab and go option. The lattes were fantastic and the muffins was packed with flavor. Staff was super friendly and quick on it while also helping the counter sitters as well!

Loved the location, view and service but the food was mediocre. It was right around the corner from the hotel we stayed at so it was perfect for us to be within walking distance. It was also pretty cool that there's different floors to eat on. We were on the 6th floor so the view was great. Our server was knowledgeable about Nashville so that was a great conversation with her. The food was mediocre - I had the avocado toast that did not have a lot of avocado but it was ok. I wanted an over easy egg but they only have scrambled eggs. My husband had scrambled eggs, potato's and bacon...again nothing special. Go for the view from the 6th floor!

The honey bunny coffee (recommend it and I already drank some in this picture)

All the food I tried was really good. The menu had a lot of options so if you are a picky eater they probably have something for you. They took our orders very quickly and food came out relatively quickly. The serving people were really nice. I would highly recommend this place because the food and service were really good and it wasn't super loud. They might have a band on one of the floors but not the one I was on. There are like 6 floors to the place so it is never super crowded, so if you need a break from the loud city this is a good place. The inside was also really nice and the bathroom didn't smell bad. Stopped in for breakfast and had a really solid experience from start to finish. The eggs and waffle were prepared just right -- classic diner comfort food with a nice home-cooked feel. I added the sausage gravy over biscuits and honestly, it made the meal. But the real highlight? The hot chocolate. Hands down one of the best I've ever had -- creamy, perfectly sweet, and seriously memorable. If you're a hot chocolate fan, this alone is worth a visit.

5th floor view, eggs, potatoes, and biscuit

The Diner in Nashville is a pretty unique spot since it is a six-story diner right on 3rd Street. We ended up being seated on the 5th floor, which gave us a really cool view of the street below. It was fun to watch all the life and activity from up there, though there is another building nearby, so your view might depend on exactly where your table is. As for the breakfast, it was solid for what you expect from a diner. We had the standard stuff like scrambled eggs, skillet potatoes, and biscuits. There was honestly nothing bad to say about the flavor of the food because everything tasted good and was well-prepared. My only real gripe was the size of the biscuits. They were basically silver dollar sized, and you only get three in an order. It was hardly enough to really sit back and enjoy them, which was a bummer. But again, the flavor was good across the board, so the rest of the meal kind of made up for where the biscuit portions fell short. The staff were also incredibly nice and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Another cool thing is that they have an in-house coffee shop on the first floor. It is worth stopping by there after your meal to grab some of their seasonal drinks or a coffee for the road. Overall, it is a neat place to check out if you are in the area.

Food: 4.5. Had the classic diner breakfast and it was really good! The eggs were perfectly cooked and the home fries were too. The coffee was a bit average but fine. Ambiance: 4.5. Multiple floors with seating facing the street and interior counter seating. TVs showing the latest games. We opted for both, street watching is very entertaining. The bathrooms were very clean with fully private stalls and the game blasting over speakers. Service: 4.0. Reasonably attentive, answering questions efficiently, nothing bad nor over the top. I do love diner food and would recommend to give this unique experience a try!

We had a great breakfast here! It was a Saturday morning and lines were wrapped around the corners of a lot of local breakfast joints, so we went online and found that this one had available reservations, so we took it. They have six floors of space. Impressive! When they told us to take the elevator up, we couldn't believe it. Great views, awesome server, and really good breakfast food. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, waffle - everything was delicious. Even the fresh squeezed tasting juice. Would definitely recommend! Edit: we came back the same day for a late night meal. Chicken stir fry and egg rolls were delicious and just what we needed after a night of bar hopping!

This place caught our eye with their captivating multi level restaurant. We stopped in for breakfast at the first level bar and had good service from the bartender. I ordered an espresso martini and enjoyed it! Our food was very mid. No flavor, but fine for an easy breakfast. Wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a tasty breakfast. Would be interested in visiting the additional levels as it looks like there is varying menus on different levels!

    I got a Shirley Temple!!

I had chase as a server and he's absolutely very nice, the food is extravagant and really good. It's not a long wait at all for anything and the place is very clean I definitely rate a 100/10.

I've been here several times and the food always hits. It's cozy and consistent and the hours make this a place somewhere I keep coming back too. I've had the pot roast, shrimp boil, salmon, shrimp tempera roll and everything is great. Even if the kitchen is held up, the service is top notch and the staff will make sure you are taken care of. If you need a place to grab a bit, make the short walk to this place. It's worth it

Don't get the avocado toast, not fresh avocados. Probably a package spread.

Stopped in for the view, and that was the only thing that was worthy the avocado toast was mediocre at Best should've checked out Yelp before coming

    Fried chicken!
    Ariel L.

A good place for a quick bite while in Nashville. Multiple floors, various cuisines including oysters and sushi! This is in addition to your local fried chicken and waffles! Very casual, you can come in shorts if you like or as you ate if you're just coming back from a full night on broadway . Service is relatively fast except if you're a big group like more than 6 (which we were). Otherwise, worth a try while you're in Nashville!

Scramble with Bacon and Sourdough toast

Amy our server was great. My scramble was good. The bacon was perfect and warm sourdough toast was good. The potatoes were hot but would have liked for them to be seasoned. Good breakfast. Great staff. I should add. They play great music! Classic rock thank you!

Anyways the staff is really helpful. As soon as you're seated you're greeted and given the 411 on the place being a scratch kitchen, everything made in house and this is important because it contributes to the amazing quality control. But I digress. They also have merchandise and a pastry kitchen for you to grab and go coffee if you don't have time to enjoy the delicious food at a table. Now you cannot really go wrong here. We started off with the ricotta and honey on sourdough...amazing. And that honey? I wanted to take one home so bad but I did not want to check in my bag for it so I'll have to come by again. I could eat this pairing for days. So good. We stuck to the basics, biscuits with our cravings (chicken on mine, and bacon + egg + cheese on my friends) and a curry. Left leaving stuffed. Those biscuits...you must. 10/10 recommend and will be back!

I'll start off by saying I'm not the biggest fan of pancakes, nor cinnamon and have to be in the mood for both. Today happened to be the day. I tried their pancake sampler, with cinnamon, Caribbean and banana bread pancakes. They were all good, fluffy, airy and flavorful. Banana bread with their maple syrup, Caribbean with cinnamon. But, their cinnamon pancakes were amazing!! Those were definitely the winner!!! Best pancakes I've ever had. Their three pig omelette was pretty bomb as well. I got some of their sausage gravy on the side, to douse the omelette and that was definitely the move there. I think this is the first time I didn't need to use cholula for flavoring. The location is centralized, set up nicely, with huge open indoor space with plenty of seating outside. The service was great as well. Attentive and fast. All in all, I wish I had the time to come here yesterday, so I could try something different today. But, I took the place for everything it had and it definitely delivered. Highly recommend and I will be back, when I'm in the area for sure!
