My friend and I came to Oahu for spring break and this was honestly our favorite excursion! We did both the whale watching and snorkel tours with Emily, Avery, Christina, and Captain Jeff. Avery and Emily were super knowledgeable about whales. Christina was an amazing snorkeling guide-she was super helpful and was able to point out all of the sea life! We saw whales, dolphins, fish, and so many turtles. Captain Jeff was super safe and nice, and he brought along his dog Korra (who is absolutely adorable and sweet), which made the rides even better! read more

Amazing tour! I cannot say enough good things about this company. We used their snorkel gear and life jackets to snorkel in electric beach and shark's cove on day-1 and booked their turtle bay tour for day-2. The price was very affordable and they had all necessary rentals available on the boat. You can get the sea sickness tablets, wet suits and go pros for rental at the shop before your board your boat. We loved the experience and would highly recommend you to book their tour. The guides will take you to the exact spot where you can find turtles and keep pointing towards turtles and nice colorful fish. PS: I suggest you book the earliest slot because it can get really crowded at the spot after 10 am. read more

It was overall a fun experience. You'll be taken out to an area where other tour boats also stops.They have flotation devices to help so not to worry if you're not a strong swimmer. These guys are AMAZING. So informative, so kind, so smart, and SO FUN! We happened to go out on a day when the water was very clear. We saw dolphins, a whale, a pod of 8 turtles, an eagle ray, an eel, and hundreds of fish. It was insane! That part of the experience is based on luck- but either way they made the experience so great. They were very knowledgeable and took us to a great spot to snorkel. My fiance and I did a snorkel cruise together. The staff was extremely friendly and personable. They were very kind and took their time explaining how to use the equipment, they also always offer to take photos while you're on the cruise as well. We did go off-season so it wasn't very crowded. Which was nice. we were able to see many sea turtles and fish on our excursion. Both of us did get slightly sea sick, so I'd recommend Some motion sickness medication if you are prone to getting sea sick prior to your excursion. We took this tour Labor Day Saturday , after another snorkel company cancelled on us! Luckily Honolulu Snorkel had a tour leaving at 8am. Needless to say they saved my morning. The entire staff was very friendly, and they got us on the boat quickly, efficiently and the boat looked/felt very clean. There are no shoes allowed and they store your shoes in a big cabin I don't know any of the names of the crew, but it was a tiny girl with blonde hair , two helpful young men, and an African American captain. After we got to the site, we stationed, and the instructions were very implicit . I believe we were the only tour with an actual snorkel guide, cause it seemed like every other group that was out there was wandering around aimlessly. To make matters better our tour guide, which was the little blonde girl, kept pointing out where the turtles were. She even took our GoPro and got a little bit closer because we could not dive down very far. There was another group (not with us) that was trying to touch / get near the turtles and she ended up having to warn them that she will report them to the authorities if they don't stop messing with the turtles. Towards the end of the tour, we got a little bit closer to Diamondhead and was able to take photos. Overall an outstanding tour co and will definitely book with them again. They are reliable, professional, and care about the environment. As a bonus every Saturday, there is a farmers market happening in the parking lot of the harbor so you can walk right over there after you take your tour with Honolulu snorkel . Mahalo! read more

We loved Honolulu Snorkel Company! If you are looking for an easy and fun Oahu activity. You should book with them. We were a party of 11, 2 children, and 1 senior and visiting from Southern California. We felt engaged, heard some tidbits of information, and had a great experience. We were guided by Captain Jeff, hunter, Luna, and Lex. We were all renamed, Lola...the shower girl and I thought this was brilliant. Since you're in the water and can be called specifically for safety and guiding you to see the fish and turtles. We were a lucky group since we saw and swam near 2 turtles. I was about 5 ft away and the beautiful creature was huge. Also, able to hold a sea urchin!!!! Thanks, Luna Overall, easy and fun experience, the only thing which I know is normal, some might feel seasick after swimming. Remember, you are in a current, all the salt, and swimming around; when you have no balance can and will do that. Great thing after, they had ginger candy on the boat which helped immensely. The crew was awesome. I liked them a lot. My problem was that some people came to check in late, which pushed us out 15-20 minutes. So we lost snorkel time due to that. There's an early check in time for a reason so I don't think they should have taken them and caused the rest of us to loose out. The only other issue was that there were so many tours at the same place so it was very crowded and hard to actually swim around without bumping into people all the time. read more

First timers in Hawaii. It was a very nice experience, everyone was pleasant and fun, but what really put it over the top for us was Johnny and his above and beyond customer service. My mom is handicapped, and while she can walk with a cane, she is very unstable on a boat, plus she was very afraid to get in the water. Johnny very patiently talked to her and encouraged her to get in, helped her in every way imaginable. He got her in the water and tried his very best to get her to stay. And when she ultimately decided to get back on the boat for the remainder of the excursion, he was the one who got her back on safely. Super caring, patient, and truly a class act guy. Myself, husband, & 3 kids were here 7/5 on the 10:15am trip and this was our first ever time snorkeling. I want to give a huge kudos to the 4 ladies who were hosting our group, because they were AMAZING! Mind you, we have an 8, 9 & 3 year old so it was kind of hard trying to get everyone situated on & off the boat but the captain really helped us so much with everything the whole trip went smooth and fun!! They got us to a great location where we were able to see a lot of turtles and fishes! My family and I enjoyed the whole experience. My parents are coming in next month and I'm already telling them to book with Honolulu snorkel company! I personally would recommend renting the GoPro if it is your first time and you'd want to capture everything. But if you have a water proof phone case then you're fine. I just wanted to make sure I didn't drop my phone to the bottom of the ocean and record everything on the boat and off. My husband and I aren't professional swimmers, so we had the inflatable life jacket & the "banana" wrapped around us to feel more comfortable swimming. Another tip, we came here at least an hour and a half before our reservation, because we had to look for parking. The crew of the LOLA was awesome guides took very good care of the 30 or so people that decided to take this guided snorkeling tour. We talked to them about my sons medical supplies (type 1 diabetic) and they offered to put his medical bag next to all the crew personal bags so his supplies didnt get wet etc while we were in the water.
