We went to Kalapaki Joe's a few times during our stay in Po'ipu, and we had fun every time. The World Cup was on the TVs, and everyone was having a blast. The first time we went was around 2p while we waited to check-in our accommodations. The lady told us that she was busy doing a bunch of different tasks but we could take a seat if we didn't mind waiting for our order to be taken. We appreciated the communication and decided to take a seat. The food is decent "bar food," and we got drinks from the Happy Hour menu. We went during Happy Hour on the other two visits for drinks and to watch the World Cup. On one occasion, there was a musician playing reggae which we enjoyed. Overall, we liked it at Joe's. Are there better places to eat/drink? Sure, but slow service and "loud people" in a sports bar during the World Cup was expected.

Kalapaki Joes is a great bar and grill. It fits the island. Though not on the beach it's very nice. The food is standard fare for Poipu area but outstanding compared to mainland places. My spouse had their prawns, chicken wings and calamari. She mostly enjoyed the wings, then calamari and the coconut prawns. Primarily because she's not a deep fry type person but was with her fellow golfers looking for something simple. And it was and very tasty. Not overly oily or heavily battered. It's just not like a properly done tempura battered and fried. Haha She recommends Kalapaki Joes!!!! Service was great.

Pros: Happy hour prices are great - Coconut shrimp are so good! 25c wings during happy are fire Fish tacos are tasty. The drinks could use some work. I didn't think they were good at all, we got 4 different drinks and they were not good. Even the Diet Pepsi was bad. I think the food was good overall, especially the prices, I just wish the drinks were better.

Kalapaki Joe's is such a great spot! We first noticed it from the road during a bike ride after spotting a sign out front advertising a mimosa special. That was all the convincing we needed. We stopped by later and enjoyed a delicious breakfast with drinks, a great view, and even caught some football. Honestly, this was the breakfast I had been craving- I love breakfast tacos! We were staying at a nearby resort, and while the food there was good, I'd choose Kalapaki Joe's instead. It's also just a short walk from Poipu Beach, so we stopped in a second time after snorkeling and seeing turtles. I love how casual it is- walking in with swim gear and messy hair is totally fine. We also tried the wings, which were pretty good, and they have a great happy hour deal if you make it in time. See you next time, Kalapaki Joe's!

This is a nice little no-frills sports bar with a big drink menu and a great mix of local favorites and sports bar basics. We came around 7pm on a Tuesday. It wasn't too busy. My boyfriend had a lot of modifications to his order, and everything still came out perfectly. The portions are big. The food is good. I may or may not be coming back to try happy hour later this week for the food specials.

Definitely an amazing happy hour. .25 cent wings. But a table can only get a MAX OF 20, doesn't matter how many people are in your party. We had a pretty large party. But only one person wanted wings so it worked out. The wings were pretty good IMO. My husband wasn't to nuts about them. The coconut shrimp was good. $2 each, I got 6. The fish tacos $5 it was Merlin, and none of us liked those. The shells tasted stale, I wouldn't order them again. I'd definitely be happy for the happy hour. 2 drink minimum per person *I did not drink my wine because there was old food all inside the glass (my husband tried to wipe it out but it just dislodged the food and then it was floating in my wine)

    Sunday Happy hour!.3-6pm.Worth going!!

It's been a while since we came here.Maybe it's a year or two?.So some friends wanted to come for happy hour.So we decided hey why not?!.It kind of a bz Sunday afternoon. So we had to wait to be seated. So after being seated we ordered our drinks and our appetizers. The drinks came promptly n soon after the appetizers came.Things started off great!.Then we realized the waiters did t give us our plates. So We waited her return. She took so long. I had to get up and get plates, chop sticks n napkins my self!!.Oh boy it's not starting off well. Then the food?It was disappointing. The fried Calamari was not the same it soggy not so crunchy ,The wing dings were over cooked, the Carne asda fries was salty. The waitress rarely came. She wasn't very attentive at all.We noticed she tended more towards the tourists. At least the person that that was collecting our empty cups came frequently.. I think his name was Randy. He was great. He often and took a little break to have a conversation with us.We enjoyed it.So when we were leaving I personally gave him a tip.We are debating if we should come back here when football season begin's??.Well will see????We are hoping not have the same waitress?..She wears a backwards hat.

Kalua Loco Moco and macadamia nut pancakes

The Loco Moco breakfast was unreal. The flavor and consistency was perfection. Highly recommend service was great as well.

    Mai Thai

View is nice. we were going to order food however, after sitting down, we decided maybe not. We did order two drinks. When was a Mai Thai and the other was a Red Bull special. I'm not sure why we were charged for a double Red Bull when we just ordered one. I think you could probably get a drink at the resort up the road cheaper, and without a sticky table, it does have a view. But so is the resort. we wont return. Perhaps the food is tasty. However, the place just didn't seem clean and we did not want to order food.

Stacked chairs. Uncrowded restaurant, empty bar tables.

Came here after being recommended as a great place to go for a game or a fight. Came as a party of 1. Was hoping to grab a beer and watch a fight. Plenty of space inside, empty spots at the bar and tables. Missed the entire fight card standing outside. I literally spent an hour standing and checking in every 10 mins or so after multiple people left but never was let in. I didn't even mind standing or being given a stool next to the empty tables near the bar posts and I politely let the staff know I would be happy anywhere. "I was told sorry, that's our bar rules". What are the bar rules 1/10 capacity is too much? I watched waitresses and staff seated watching tv and never got in. It wasn't rowdy, crowded or anything that would require a limited crowd. I recommend not going if there's any sort of event going on. Unless you plan on parking it at a table at 4:00 pm for the entire night and never leave. They even shined their happy hour because there was a sports event that night. 3 thumbs down for my experience.

This place is busy and not bad with prices. We missed the happy hour and weekly special since it was Saturday but the signage made it very appealing on the wallets. Our waitress was very nice and funny and very busy. The decor is a basic sports bar with almost no frills. Plenty of TVs and cold drinks. The menus has allot of choices but basically bar food. We had a burger and shrimp tacos. Not to bad , nothing too ono. If you want you watch a game and drink then get there.

    20 25¢ wings

Always a good time here. We order 20 25¢ wings on the happy hour and two Mai Tai's each! Wings are nice and crispy on the outside, and Mai Tai's will leave you feeling fantastic.

It's funny reading these other reviews, because I guess the general consensus is to not come here, haha! Imma be real with ya - I hardly remember anything about this place :D Here's a little back story of my life: When I travel, I like to paaarttyyyyy! Which creates the best memories that I never remember! Thank Buddha for Cameras. But ya know, only the flattering pictures, not those ones where you're passed out in a ditch covered in seaweed, even though you're nowhere near an ocean O____o Anyway, I'm sure the food was food and the drinks were alcoholic. Just like me ;) SO yeah, come here. Or don't. Will you really let other dictate your life?! NEIN! NEIN NEIN NEIN!!! KThxBai! LuvYou!

Very average food, service was less than stellar and drinks were weak and experience over-priced but that's Hawaii these days.

Speaking of drinks, the cocktails were excellent and definitely the highlight of our meal. My wife ordered the garden salad with shrimp, and I had the chicken chimichurri sandwich. Unfortunately, the food was pretty mediocre overall. After a few bites, my wife found a caterpillar in her salad, which immediately ruined her appetite--especially considering it was a $30 salad. We normally aren't the type to complain, but we mentioned it to our waitress, Mia. She was incredibly kind, handled the situation professionally, and promptly removed the salad from our bill. We really appreciated how she took care of us, so shout out to Mia for providing excellent service despite the unfortunate situation. My chicken sandwich wasn't anything special, although the chimichurri sauce itself was tasty. Overall, I'd recommend coming here for the incredible views, relaxing beach atmosphere, and great cocktails--but I'd probably look elsewhere if you're coming for the food.

Keoki's Paradise describes itself as a place where guests can "relax in a lush tropical paradise"…read morewhile enjoying delicious island-style cooking, exotic drinks, and live music. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but relaxing or paradise-like. We were a party of six and were seated outside, despite there being available tables inside. There were also a lot of bugs around the outdoor dining area, which made the experience even less enjoyable. Shortly after we ordered, it started raining--hard. Someone eventually closed the roof and lowered a canvas wall for us, but in the middle of our dinner, it started pouring again. We had to jump out of our seats to keep from getting soaked. Our dishes were already wet from the rain, and it was only then that we realized the roof and canvas wall had been opened back up after the first round of rain. What made the situation even more frustrating was the **lack of attentive service**. We were left to deal with the rain and wet table on our own and had to scramble to protect ourselves and our food from getting soaked. Given the circumstances, we expected the staff to be more proactive in checking on us and helping make the situation more manageable. Instead, we felt largely left on our own. Between the bugs, the rain, the uncomfortable seating, and the lack of service, it was nearly impossible to enjoy our meal. For a restaurant that promotes itself as a place to "relax in a lush tropical paradise," this was far from the experience we expected. As for the food, the meal itself was mediocre. **Seafood Risotto** - This came with lobster, shrimp, fish, and shiitake mushrooms. Unfortunately, every bite was extremely salty. **Fish Duo** - I don't recall what type of fish was served, but the two people who ordered it seemed to enjoy it. **Keiki Grilled Cheese** - The cheese wasn't melted enough. **Calamari** - A small portion, but fortunately, the strips were tender. **Pineapple Carrot Muffins & Sweet Taro Rolls** - These were good on their own and not overly sweet. We weren't fans of the cinnamon butter, though, as it had a strange taste. **Original Hula Pie** - Nothing to rave about. It was supposed to be made with macadamia nut ice cream, but it tasted more like plain vanilla ice cream. Overall, the combination of the uncomfortable outdoor dining conditions, bugs, rain, lack of attentive service, and mediocre food made this a disappointing experience. For the price point, we didn't feel the meal was worth it. **Do yourself a favor, skip Keoki's and head to Beach House instead.**
