What a nice yarn store. Beautiful selection, and they were very helpful. I know I'll be spending some time in here

Would that I could, I'd walk in and make it rain SO hard, but I do manage to treat my self! Eryngium is a bleeping WONDERLAND!! One of my dearest longtime friends introduced me to Eryngium when I first moved to Portland last summer. Since then, I'm always scheming for reasons to visit from SW Portland. The shop is *exquisitely* appointed with an incredible variety of paper, ephemera, rubber stamps, a plethora of writing instruments (swoon fountain pens), inks, copious stationery, stickers, {takes a shuddering breath}, washi tape, vintage postage stamps, journals, stunning jewelry, and itty bitty heart-adored paperclips for crying out loud! {dabs sweat from brow} If you are a stationery aficionado, get thyself to Eryngium Papeterie. Aside from the beautiful space and luscious stationery finery, the owner, Crystal, is an adorable marvel-- warm, welcoming, hilarious, helpful, and clearly loves her work. The entire team is lovely and kind. This is hands-down the best stationery wonderland I've had the delight to visit and shop in my lifetime. Eryngium Papeterie is a beacon of hope, joy, and light for those of us who enjoy the slow, intentional connection of handwritten correspondence and reflection.

Charming store with a large selection of cards, wrapping paper, and other cool stuff!read more

Sheri-Ann was amazing. 35yrs in the business and she knows her glass. She was very friendly and clear and gave us great guidance. A few helpful tips and tricks that she passed on. Basic instruction and then just let us go to town. We used all types of colored frit, they have every color in the rainbow AND every possible texture & opacity. We made a few flowers and I even did a frog & lily pad. I simply cannot wait to see the final product. Should be a week or so. I highly recommend you check this place out. Great value for your money. Right in downtown Vancouver. We'll be back. Maybe to even try another class, stained glass?! Or maybe to better hone our frit-laying skills. So much fun. Thanks to Sheri-Ann & Carla for having such a great local destination for fun artistic creation!

I have made a ton of these cute ornaments and nightlights over time. It's a really cool way to be creative. The glass studio is downstairs and there is no elevator, so just be aware of that. My work recently gave us a budget to indulge in a hobby in, and knowing my brother had a birthday coming up, immediately said "BEDAZZLER" Who knew that bedazzlers do not affix to thermoses on their own? Who knew that you need 'Rhinestone Glue' to get them to affix? That said, off I went to Michael's where after some searching to find it (it's tucked past where the Toys r Us used be in Jantzen Beach) I was richly rewarded. The people there are incredibly nice, the selection is HUGE, and the person I spoked to in the glue section taught me more about glue than I ever knew was possible. As a bonus, I also picked up a new exercise stick while I was the for like 5 bucks! (4 ft dowel 3/4 inch). Will definitely shop here again and props to all the nice people at this Michael's, thanks again!

I would have not known - as I am not a thief, I am not thinking of that. I decided my bladder would not handle the shopping so I grabbed a basket so I could start shopping after since i needed glue which was right there at the back wall. Restroom clearly marked so off I went. Big signs with the 'restroom for customer only' and to find an associate to let you in... and the walk made the urgency a bit more but thankfully I could hear someone working in the framing area right there so I did the hello and can I trouble you for the code. Urgency growing as she fumbled the code over and over. Places apparently don't give the secret code out now and have to supervise you using the bathroom since, apparently, people memorize the code and give it out. THIS is where we are folks. Thankfully shopping was much easier than it was to use to restroom and I managed not to have an adult accident. The cashier was friendly and they had the super goopy glue I needed to get - they have a GLUE AISLE... so if you need to stick a thing to another thing, they got you. I managed to sneak past the Halloween stuff and BELIEVE ME, that's rough...I want it all! Then I went to the parking lot and was like WHOA What in the Actual F... because, you know that blinking blue like solar panel things you see in every parking lot now? IT SPOKE TO ME.... BELOWING at me ...VERY LOUD in an empty parking lot something about being a Micheal's customer and that they WERE FILMING ME... Ummm... WHAT??? I got in my car, after taking a picture - you got me and I got you creeper!! That was just waaaaaaay Xtra... It was 930am on a freaking Tuesday and I was the only customer - oh wait, I saw a husband and wife getting a game for their toddler.... I felt like maybe I missed the prison riot. So, I appreciate stores protecting themselves but the message I got is that I am lucky I missed getting stabbed by the unhinged people who also shoplift there while buying glue. Maybe order glue online next time.

We had a group of around twelve people and everyone was kept occupied with some task, but not so busy that they couldn't sip their wine and chat. What's great is that Class Cooking is not only next door to Burnt Bridge Cellars but the same couple who owns Class Cooking also co-owns the winery.
