I had the opportunity to stay here a year ago for a work function, and then more recently for a quick getaway. For its age, the rooms are pretty spacious. The rooms have been remodeled (although the paint on the wall of one room was peeling). Check in and out is quick and easy. The restaurant is seasonal so it was closed this last visit. The previous visit, the food was good and priced well. The staff accommodated 50 of us with no problem. As the property is adjacent to the marina, access is easy. There is an indoor pool as well. There are restaurants off site close by (I recommend the golf course). I would definitely recommend a lakeside room for a great view.

We walked in, greeted immediately by a very sweet friendly girl, asked for a seat outside and were accommodated and sat immediately. It was a Sunday at 6:15, very few tables were occupied inside and out. It was breezy and comfortable. They offered to attempt to find us someone to open the umbrella the rest of the way (it had a plastic knife shoved in there, I assume to keep it halfway opened) but we had shade so we declined. We got water and our order taken very quickly by an attentive server, drinks served quickly. Things were looking good. After we ordered we waited quite awhile but that was ok, we expected to get our appetizer and just relax while we ate. After quite a while the server shows up with the appetizer AND our entrees. I was not happy. What about an appetizer says it comes out with the meal, you are barely busy inside and now we have to shove it all in fast so our meal isn't cold when we hurriedly get to it. If you can't serve an appetizer as an appetizer, you obviously have time management as well as leadership issues in your kitchen. Bang bang shrimp: Shrimp was good sized. Cooked well. Tasted like it was dipped in that awful cornmeal bagged type "breading" you buy at a local grocery store and then topped in that fake "Bang Bang Shrimp" recipe you find on Facebook that people swear is a copycat of Bonefish Grill. Fish and chips: Again that awful cornmeal bagged breading taste. Cod without it was actually good, that breading made it so off putting. Coleslaw: Cabbage with a dollop of what seemed to be just mayo. My husband said that is the worst coleslaw I have ever tasted. It went untouched. Tartar sauce: Just a ton of mayo and little seasoning. Fries: Actually delicious. Pizza: Come on now...it's obviously a frozen disaster. If they are really trying to claim they make the dough...find someone new to learn how to make dough, it's very easy. It's like actual flavorless cardboard. My husband said I think they buy frozen pizza and top it with these uncooked veggies (they were so underdone he scraped them all off to try to eat it unsuccessfully and I refused to even finish a slice) and call it their own. Those tomato's needed another week to ripen. It came home with us and he threw it away when we got here. Drinks: Strong and good. Service: GREAT Food quality: Cheap tasting and felt like it was grabbed from a freezer. Worth the price: Absolutely not, the view is pretty but skip the food, grab a drink and go home to cook for yourself. Let me say not only was I disappointed, I was totally embarrassed to show this boat to my family. Seats with major damage and taped with duct tape. Dirty seats, nasty carpets. A real luxury boat! Further, upon returning the boat they claimed we ruined the prop (we did not). Another $300 ! In trying to negotiate with the manager and the owner, both proceeded to yell at me because I questioned both the condition of the boat and this "ruined" prop. I'm angry but have no recourse. If you happen to be camping at the campground, your yellow pass allows you to launch for free while enjoying your stay! We've been patrons here for well over the past decade. The owners have always been two of the best people I've ever met. I used to rent a slip here years ago for a week while we would be camping but all the slips that accommodate my boat stay leased out now, with a waiting list just for a lease option! If I had my wishes, I wish they had more of the 9-10' wide slips and a larger courtesy dock as the one becomes extremely busy during the summer rush, and a larger parking lot, yes they get that busy! All in all, we can rely on Kim and Ronnie and the wonderful summer help they employ should we need to fuel up, maybe a couple bags of ice for the cooler or anything we forgot along the way. Kim always has a smorgasbord or supplies inside at very good prices in my opinion. They sell fishing licenses, live bait, tackle, tons of snacks, drinks, random swimwear, sunscreen, boat supplies, water sports supplies, etc.

Dirty and cob webs all over. I was very upset at the condition of this pontoon. I went in and complained, the worker there said she would clean it and she did however she blamed previous renters for the rips in the boat. I told her no that wax chargers 500 hold in case you tear something up so I blame wax rental for not keeping up on repairs and having pictures on line like a new boat. Also I asked about the radio and the cigarette lighter worked and was told yes , however neither worked so we had to blow all the floats up by hand. I am 65 and I believe your advertisement for this boat was totally false also the ladder was not in good working order. Never renting from here again. I was totally disappointed. We went to Moutardier marina for ice cream and they laughed at the 600 rental boat. They told us next time to come here because they have new boats. He said yes and we sat in their clean and comfortable outdoor seating area. Unsure of what to order, I asked Ian for a recommendation. He said their pizza was really good and we could get a 16" unlimited topping pizza with breadsticks for $31. Let me tell you, his recommendation was absolutely incredible. The pizza came out hot fresh more toppings than you could ask for and the breadsticks were just as good! This pizza for sure is one of the top five best pizzas I have had at a restaurant. If you get the chance and are in French lick for any amount of time, make sure you go to Kelley's and order the pizza! My wife and I both highly recommend!
