Spoke with a server to order a 10 piece boneless combo fried hard and extra sauce, with blue cheese on the side. When my order was given to me I was given only 10 boneless wings no fries and told that the server didn't know I wanted fries. The combo with fries is 10.99 and the regular boneless is 13+! I order from this location constantly and never had dishonesty this bad. Denise the manager isn't helpful at all and repeatedly stated that the server rang me up for only boneless wings. When you see a low experience rating, believe it! We were in the Fox Valley Mall area. Also, don't go by the number of cars in the parking lot. They may belong to the staff or the multiple guests at a table. I haven't been to Hooters in years and now I remember, "Why not?" The chicken wings were not worth bragging about. They charge you extra for sauce. Like, "WOW!" The salad was pre-made and refrigerated. The lettuce had brown edges, the Blue Cheese Crumbles appeared to have been stored too long, and the poor tomatoes pieces. I felt bad for the waitress. Hi yes today is Mon June 8th 2026. I Denise is a Loyal customer of Hooters Restaurant. In particular I dine in at the one in Fox Valley Central Drive. In Aurora, Illinois. Last week I had a bad experience from a manager name Paul. Dorky looking Manager I never ever seen before. This guy was very unprofessional very rude. I have been coming to this particular restaurant for over 10 years. I would've thought by me leaving a Yelp review from this situation last week. I would have heard from corporate by now. But I jst remember he told me that they're not a corporate store. Maybe that explains why no one has read this review from corporate to try to correct the matter at hand. Paul did tell me that I will have to speak with the general manager of the location, which he presented me a card with the store number on it, not the general manager number where I can get in contact with her. So that was a red flag, but that's neither here there which warrant me to leave a review and I was hoping the GM would've contacted me back as if other food chain business will do, after viewing yelp but that did not happen. Well, I went and tried to have lunch at this particular location and I was greeted about the same person who gave me a horrible experience last week. He walked up to me and handed me a corporate number and said you can call corporate. I have that number for you now with a smirk on his face and proceeded to tell me, I am borrowed from the restaurant while smiling in my face and told me I could speak with someone from corporate about it. I proceeded to leave the restaurant after accepting the piece of paper from him with the number . I did call and I was able to speak with a young lady who said she will most definitely forward the things that I explained to her about the experience from last week and today someone will contact me. So I pray someone contact me because as of right now this guy most definitely making Hooters in Aurora look very very bad right now as far as his leadership skills. He will do more damaging turning away the customers /the consumers away from the restaurant. On the way to the AMC theater, we decided to stop here to kill a bit of time. We were sat in a section near a door while it's 23 degrees out. We asked to be moved and the hostess said all the empty tables were not available. Not sure what that was about but she was quite rude with her response. I have been a customer of this restaurant for fifteen years. NEVER has my family ever had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated. Today we walked in to a half empty restaurant and was told because we did not have a reservation it would be an hour wait. This was at 3:55pm. We left of course. The hostess was extremely polite. I then proceeded to the website and could have reserved a table for 4:15pm. Obviously they are extremely short staffed however, that is no excuse to tell us an hour unless they were trying to turn away business. Pay your servers more so you can hire the proper staff to accommodate your customers. Leah. Thank you for your reply. Please know that my family will return in the future but we will never make a reservation for Hooters. We will continue to walk in when we want to dine at your establishment. If we are met with the same response, so be it. Turning away customers simply because they did not use an online reservation system is a poor way to manage a business in the hospitality/restaurant industry. Being hospitable means making it easy for your customers to enjoy a meal. Our waitress EMMA was amazing - nice, attentive and apologetic for our negative experience, but our initial experience was abrasive and upsetting. When we arrived we mentioned we had a party of 8 (we were 2 families dining together). We were told we would have to pay one check and there would be a service fee for a large party. No problem. But then we were seated at 2 separate tables - one per family - due to space restrictions so we questioned why we would still have to pay a large group fee if essentially we were eating separately and could not dine together. We asked for the manager and the manager Tim was immediately confrontational and aggressive toward my husband, completely inflexible and told us "we could eat somewhere else." He said that's just they way they are doing things and they decide different times it just depends. I asked him if this is what he does, if he stands guard at the door like that all of the time and if so if they felt that was good for business? We had a party of 4 with 2 children and we're generally pretty quick when we eat, however this experience took us two hours. 3 of us ordered fries and wings and none of us received our fries. After finally tracking her down because she never came to check in we ordered our fries again and she offered to take them off the bill. The original order took 30 mins to get to us, then our fries an extra 15-20 minutes. One person didn't receive their blue cheese, we let her know and that never ended up being delivered to our table. I asked for a new Dr Pepper, she brought back a Diet Pepsi. She finally came back and I let her know, she took the Pepsi and never brought a new Dr Pepper. It took over 20 mins to get the bill and we couldn't see her or a manager to ask. She finally brings it out and didn't remove the fries as promised. We had to start the whole waiting process over again after finding her and asking for them to be removed. We were there for about 2 hours. We used to love coming here prior to covid. Yesterday decided to order takeout and were very disappointed when we opened the take out box at home. I told the manager how long did we needed to wait for someone to come to our table. The bold manager did not even talked to me he was to busy with his remote control adjusting the tv channels so I returned to the table my co worker and I decided that we had waited too long and we just walked out and I went back to approach the manager one last time and I said why did we were not waited on we had reservations and we left hungry and disappointed. I normally eat at the Hooters in Schaumburg or on Higgins in Chicago. I now live in Aurora and have tried this one 3x and have algae a bad experience each time. The last was this Mothers Day. Visiting the hooters location in Aurora Illinois has been the worst decision I've ever made. We had such a horrific and terrible experience with their food and above all their service. On 11/27 We arrived at 6:25PM to dine in, and placed our orders at approximately 6:35PM. Waiting a little over 1 hour without getting our food, we decided to speak with our waitress Chloey and asked why it was taking so long to receive our order. ( mind you, the restaurant was empty ) she mentioned the cooks were cooking really slow.... after 10 additional minutes, we then decided to speak with "Christine Novak" to complaint about not receiving our food but she did not care at all. Out of frustration and the time that we lost, we decided to walk out of the restaurant. Hooters, this is not acceptable to take over 1 hour to serve food. When asking the manager why it was taking forever to serve our food, she said she didn't know. If you're the manager, you should know what is going on with your restaurant and learn to be involved and take the complaints from customers seriously. After speaking with the manager, We walked out without consuming our order since it took forever! What a waste of time! The thanksgiving of 2016 I bought myself a hooters craving card which allowed me to eat at hooters daily till the end of the year. This gave me a huge opportunity to try almost everything at hooters. Through this review ill cover the service and food at this location. Service There is no doubt the service at this place is really good. I have been served here by almost all the girls and there has been no complains even once. In fact the girls have been really accommodating to the minor changes I have suggested here and there in my dishes. Coming to the food. Salads: Strange choice to start with at hooters. But I did try a variety of salads during my month long eating spree. They have a good variety of salads available here. They are very open to customizations too. Such as "Replace buffalo chicken with grilled" or "dressing on the side" etc. Definitely try them in case you want to avoid some of the other high calorie/Sodium dishes. Fav. Buffalo Chicken Salad and Southwest Salad. Wings: The wings did not amaze me that much at hooters than some of the other dishes. This is supposed to be Hooter's most favorite dish. But I feel neither the size of the wing or the dressing is at par with some of their competitors (Buffalo Wild Wings beat them hands down here) Fish Taco: A great surprise. Generally I try to avoid seafood at places which are landlocked. (Naperville) Fish Tacos are yummy and they provie a pretty goos portion too. Burgers : Turkey Burger and Veggie Burger were okay. The veggie burger has the ususal morning star patty. Similar to the one you get at BK Buffalo Shrimp: Small and Okay. Curly Fries: Amazing. Don't forget to add the spices on the table. We were greeted right away with a friendly warmth; the food and wait staff were wonderful -- friendly but not overbearing -- so much better than the last time we were there (about a year ago). I really enjoy this location. The girls are always very pretty and polite when I stop in. The music selection is good and I always love stoping by the clothing section to see what's new. I stoped in with my dad since he hadn't been to a hooters in years and really enjoyed our sandwiches. I had the pleasure of having the chicken sandwich dipped in Daytona sauce. The Daytona has a little spice to it and lot of flavor. It's always my go to ! My sandwich also came with curly fries which were cooked just right, the perfect crisp! For the price you can't beat it.
