A little late but, still annoyed by it.. Went there last Saturday with a friend after some shopping. We went in, we were not greeted by anybody. There were no signs to seat ourselves so we waited.. and waited and waited... as we waited a line formed behind us so my friend went up to the bar and asked to be seated. This location was not too shabby - good service and quick seating on a Friday night. We ordered 50 wings with three different sauces and man oh man, it was a good time. On top of the wings, ordered two fries and 20 Buffalo shrimp. That fed 6 of us nicely, plenty of food for a family that eats more than the average person. Keep in mind, one of us had 20 wings by themselves... so that says enough. They have some good deals on cocktails as well, $5 special all day everyday. Customer Service is lack luster at best!!! I ordered through the Hooters website and didn't see an option for Ranch. I called the Restaurant to see if it could be added, the Young lady that answered the phone and the Manager Scott made me aware that they can charge me for it, however I would have to Drive and pick it up!!! My wife and I traveled up to Chicago because we were picking my god daughter up from the airport! We got to the hotel around 7pm and looked every where for food. Hooters had good reviews so we ordered our food online and picked it up! We got to the restaurant and notified the restaurant through their text messages we had arrived! I just want to make a comment about the food and service we had on 10 May 2025 at the Countryside IL location. First, the food was slow to come out, even the people sitting in the table beside us got their food before us and we were seated about 10 minutes before them. When the food came out, my shrimp tacos were cold and each taco had 3 or 4 small shrimp definitely not worth the cost. My wife ordered boneless wings mild sauce flavored but were flavorless. I even requested more sauce on the side for her since the wings looked like they didn't have any sauce. When we got the sauce, it looked as if it was just oil and a small amount of sauce that was separated from the oil at the bottom of the sauce container. That sauce was same as the wings, flavorless. I had a pretty average experience here, nothing too spectacular. It's what you would expect from a place of its kind. It reminds me a lot of Buffalo Wild Wings except the girls have on a lot less clothing here. The restaurant tables were pretty filled up, once we were seated it took a while for our waitress to come to our table. I didn't time it but it felt like maybe 10-15 mins, give or take. When the waitress finally arrived she was very sweet and attentive. I ordered fried pickles and a lemonade. She brought out the drinks pretty quickly, as well as the fried pickles. The fried pickles were ok, they weren't the best I've ever had but they did their job. One thing that did impress me about our waitress is, I was sitting at the table looking for her so I could get a refill (refills on most drinks are free) and not 5-7 mins later; here she comes with my refill without me even asking. Decided to give this Hooters one more try. I won't make that mistake again. We checked the website, walk ins welcome. As soon as we walk in, manager asks if we have a reservation. We said no. He told us they prefer reservations especially on the weekend. (5 tables open, no one waiting.) He plays with his iPad for a minute then whispers something to a waitress who then seats us. We order. Food comes. Room temperature at best. Tell the waitress about this and ask her to touch them and see for herself. She declined but was very polite and said she would get us new ones. She comes back 2 minutes later with the same wings. 2 are hot, the rest are not. How do I know they are the same wings? My wife ate one before the waitress took them back. Waitress returned with 19 wings. Waitress was wonderful and I don't blame her for the POOR food quality. Told the manager and asked him to touch one of the wings. He informed me that he wasn't allowed to touch customer food, but he understands and said he'd be right back. (No apology). Eventually got the garbage online site to somewhat work, attempted to order online again, no success.placed an order without the ability to make specific requests like plain wings with sauce on the side etc. Was no joke angry shouted at for asking to place a phone order or request things that were either not loading or options..., was able to eventually able to use the site, however had no options for special requests, which are typically no big deal with simple verbal interaction. I'm not trying to be a Karen but just wanted plain wings with sauce on the side, wasn't an option when I tried to order online. At this time, I'd like to mention the only reason I proceeded to interact with this business was because someone I care about specifically requested it. This was during the off limits everything COVID time and required you to park outside and have it brought out. After waiting saw someone else come out with carryout so went in. No one's wearing masks everyone's drunk hanging on each other, that's fine but was yelled at to put a mask on while I waited for the order, even though no one else in sight had one on, including staff. They screwed up the entire order as they always do of course. I've picked up from here more than 5 times, maybe less than 10 over the years and have never had a good experience. With orders being correct or staff being friendly or even neutral attitude wise. It's unfortunate because hooters staff is usually pretty cool and laid back.
