It was Sunday afternoon about 1 PM and the restaurant was not overly crowded and my experience was amazing. We ordered the appetizer rib basket with fries, and for our main course two steaks which we selected ourselves from the window display of steaks. Our sides were a baked potato, a baked, sweet potato, corn and broccoli. The ribs were tender and the steaks had a nice char. Of course we had the rolls which were complementary and they were absolutely soft pillowy, delicious, buttery and addictive. Our wait staff was very attentive, and our steaks were cooked to the perfect temperature. I was very impressed with my meal overall and my tip for you is visit Texas Roadhouse in the afternoon hours because they're not overcrowded and they pay great attention to you. Visited the Tinley Park location on Tuesday. This restaurant needs a face lift desperately and a good cleaning. The restaurant opened at 3:00 and we arrived shortly before 5:00 so there is no excuse for it to be so unclean. Our meal was not hot, it took longer than usual for our selection to arrive. My husband commented that the men's bathroom was dirty. With that being said our server was awesome. This is the first time I have had a bad experience at Texas Roadhouse. read more

I usually enjoy my food at TR, so I'll just take this as a lesson learned about this particular dish. I was within the past year introduced to the Catfish at TR while living in Tulsa, OK and we were blown away at how amazingly delicious it was. I mean they are known for steak but they were hitting the catfish out of the park. Fast forward. We have moved back home to the Chicago area and decided to go to TR for the fish. Not only was the whole fillets we were given in Tulsa, now pieces, but the breading was significantly different. You can choose between 3 or 4 fillets for the meal. But, when they brought our meal, they had essentially taken a whole fillet, sliced it in half and are calling that one piece. So, instead of 3 whole fillets of catfish (like in Tulsa) you are getting 1-1/2. The breading was very thin and unseasoned. It was not good at all. I guess we will miss having the catfish at TR and are forced to go back to their delicious steaks because for that price as well, it's not worth it. Oh and when you see the photo I'm attaching also notice the horrible steak fries (also something I don't typically order and will never order again) Please TR do better with the Catfish. We frequent this TRH when we're hanging in the suburbs. After not having Texas Roadhouse in a while we ordered a pick up order of a steak with a Caesar salad and Mac and cheese and an order or smothered chicken and a side of sweet potato and Caesar salad. The pick up staff were very friendly and provided me with extra A1 sauce which I appreciated. The asked us to double check our order which is always good! After we got home, I noticed my steak was more on the well done side rather that medium rare. Typically the steaks are cooked perfectly juicy and tender (hence why I order medium rare). Anyways the steak was more dry to cut into so we decided to give TRH a call to see what we could do. We spoke with manager Enrique who was able to help us out and cook us another steak which I really appreciated and was happy to make the drive back to pick it up. The steak was cooked perfectly and was done right on time for pick up. The extra customer service was greatly appreciated. It's nice to know that TRH will do the right thing especially when an order doesn't come out how it was originally intended to. We'll continue to come back and support this establishment due to quality of service, food and always friendly staff. read more

Got there as they were opening for the day. We had a brief wait and were offered an opportunity to choose our own steaks, I thought this was a nice touch. Bread and food were served promptly. Portions were adequate and food was served timely. Prices were reasonable for what was offered. Long time favorite spot for great tasting consistent steaks at decent prices! Service is always great. Know there can be a longing wait for tables, so my trick (if there is 2 or less of you of drinking age) is to walk straight to the bar and rarely have I seen all the chairs full. If not chowing down most people are also friendly to make room for 2 if possible. Be sure to get their warm rolls with cinnamon butter :-) Have always seen them make things right if there is an issue! The ambient noise is not that bad in my view. read more

I haven't been to a Roadhouse in years. No particular reason, just hadn't stopped by. I had received a voucher for a free meal for Veterans Day and a friend of mine was game to go. So glad we did! We got in 5 min before the big rush. As we sat down I remembered the rolls! It all came back with that scent and taste. Our waiter offered to bring more and pack some away if we wanted. We ordered the shrimp app and it was good and came fast. We were told it was their most requested app so they kept it ready to serve throughout the night. We each ordered the petit filet and was cooked to our liking. My friend raved on the fluffiness of the baked potato. Green beans were okay. Drinks were just okay as well. The atmosphere is lively and the staff seems to really enjoy working there and are friendly. We could see why the parking lot is always full! read more

Lives up to its name in every way. Big, crowded, and noisy ambiance ... and it was a fun place to dine. For starters we shared the Cactus Blossom appetizer which is an exact knockoff of Outback's Bloomin' Onion, but a nicely done knockoff at that (4 stars and the hit of the night). We also had a Strawberry Margarita (4 stars) and a Blue Moon (4 stars and always a good choice on draft). We later ordered another round but service never got around to serving it ... so service lost a star and came in at 3 stars instead of 4 stars; just maybe service got lost in the noisy ambiance. For mains ... one in our party had the Chicken Critter Salad (a 3 star affair that had nice greens topped with a cut-up chicken finger kind of thing ... but I have to admit the same dish at Miller's Ale House - called the Zinger Salad - grades a bit higher for more meat and nicer greens); the other in our party had the Country Vegetable Plate which is simply a plate with any four sides you are interested in (this was a 4 star option as you could tailor it to your wants ... and the mashed and brown gravy were tops). I always like to read reviews after visiting a location to see if I was the one having a bad visit or is the place just bad. My biggest complaint is the temperature of the food. Let's start with side dishes, in my case a cup of chili and baked potato. Last two visits the chili has been warm, no where being hot. I don't know if the cup has been sitting somewhere or does it come out of the kitchen that way. My baked potato was do dry, it was like eating a towel. Where do I start. I preordered at 4pm for a 5pm pickup. I arrived at the scheduled time and was told the order would be ready in a couple of minutes. The girl at the carryout desk checked the order status with another employee and was told the kitchen was behind on rolls and they were coming out shortly. At 5:15 I checked the order status again and overheard the same employee who had said the order would be ready in a couple of minutes say that they were serving the restaurant patrons first. I then asked the carryout employee if our order was sitting there for 15+ minutes getting cold waiting for rolls. Her response was " Uh well probably not". At 5:25 the order was complete and guess what? The only thing that was hot were the rolls. The full slab of ribs was bone dry and cold the Porterhouse steak (ordered medium and got rare) was cold and unbelievably tough. Our food was poorly prepared, and it obviously sat there for 25 minutes waiting for rolls. We ended up only eating the salad and the "hot rolls". The rest we threw out. I know this isn't a prime steakhouse but come on. For the $81.50 I paid (including gratuity) for carryout the ribs and steak could at least be edible and if nothing else hot. Maggie was our server today. She was excellent and so accommodating of our requests. I had the 12 oz ribeye smothered with onions and mushrooms. I had a side of mashed potatoes, loaded, and green beans. The steak was cooked nice and medium and the potatoes were substantial. The only minus was the potatoes lacked seasoning. Loved that we could go online to be on waitlist, we waited minutes. The restaurant was packed. Everyone was very nice. Our server was Brian and he was amazing. They brought rolls. I ate one and it was so good. A few minutes later he came back with another basket. We said, we don't need anymore. He said he thought our rolls were too dark, that they should be fluffy. I said they were so good. He came by our table several times to check k on us as he did with the rest of his tables. He was very very pleasant. His customer zero e was excellent.
